Prologue

The earth began to shake.

Unlike usual earthquakes, this one struck hard. Mind-blowingly wild.

A blast sounded… terrifying, like a huge train crashing through a narrow tunnel.

Waves of movement began… so harsh they stunned everyone. In the minutes following, it broke things, cracked walls, and in some of the worst cases, ripped apart buildings.

The quake lasted for long, horrifying minutes where folks ran for cover, knelt and prayed, and protected loved ones. Most survived like they had in previous seismic assaults.

But sadly, this time Mother Nature wasn’t playing.

She meant business.

This time people died.
