GLOSSARY OF TERMS

Ascendance – A remembrance ball honoring the human rebellion, the fall of the Fae oppressors, and their Draka and Medryd allies, and the separation of Pheanixios.

Blood Magic – A created magic through the act of stealing Fae blood and giving it to humans.

Bloodiron – A mineral mined in the Bloodridge mountains, used to make the steel portion of all Fae weapons and blades.

Defernus – Aa word used to recall flames to a Firewielder’s hands. Spoken in the Drakian language, ‘Mother Tongue’.

Draka – A civilization of Elven like people, who bore elemental magic and were known dragon riders in the First Years .

Dravaryn – A special term to grant access to the Worden secret library.

Dreamweaver – With a single touch, the user can reveal any memory or place they choose to another person.

Druque – A creature accidentally created while draining Fae of their blood, by King Jaksen.

Earthbender – A person who controls, summons, and wields earth magic.

Fae – A human like person who posses’ magical abilities. They are taller, broader, more beautiful, and nearly immortal with long lifespans.

Feral – A Rot-made creature that was once human, now a rotten, zombie-like being.

Firewielder – A person who controls, summons, and wields fire magic.

Glamor – A magical ability used to change the appearance of something or someone.

Infernus – A word used to summon fire to a Firewielder’s hands. Spoken in the Drakian language, ‘Mother Tongue’.

Medryd – A civilization of mer-people who lived in a kingdom beneath the continent of Pheanixios.

Noveeack – An offensive term to describe humans. It is from the language called ‘The Founder’s Tongue’, and was predominately spoken by Fae in the First Years .

Orod – A Rot-made creature that resembles half man, half spider.

Realms – It is this worlds version of Heaven.

Rippler – A small capsule used to transport its user to wherever they want within range in a matter of seconds. Created by Itta the Alchemist.

Rippling – The act of eating a rippler and being transported to wherever the user wants within range in a matter of seconds.

Rot – The continents plague that reduced the world to crumbling ash.

Siren – A Rot-made creature that is half woman, half mermaid.

Sorrows – It is this worlds version of hell.

Soulwalker – A magical ability who grants the user access to enter anyone’s mind, anywhere, at any time.

Voidstone – Mined from the Draka Mountains, obsidian in color and the strength of a diamond. Used to make the handles of Fae blades and weapons.

Vorgrith – A Rot-made creature that was once a stag, now a rotten version of that.

Ward – A magical ability granted to the Worden king or queen in power, appears as a bubble form to protect their kingdom or lands, and conceals certain places from the outside world.

Zyrall – An ointment that can heal infection.
