Cirro ( si-roh ): A fabled city said to reside in the clouds and hold a cure for any ailment

Colony : The name of a demon’s extended family unit. This includes immediate family as well as extended, and even further out. This is several family units with magic that is tied into one another, amplifying their power.

Conduit : A type of magic that draws power from residual magic and manipulates it. This magic flows through the user and can be hard to control and contain (humans are the best conduits, and some of the only conduits in Iltain).

Entailish ( ehn-tay-lish ): A dead language usually only used in elvish religious texts.

Evolis ( ay-voh-lis ): City of Cirro

Evoleen ( ay-voh-leen ): The Holy Mother, usually the elves use this to refer to her, but it is her name in Entailish

Evonin ( ay-voh-neen ): the name attached to an ancient grimoire that was, in

Iltain ( ih-ltayn ): the world that the story takes place in.

Lemia ( Lay-mee-ah ): a Folk Hero that many cultures claim as their own.

the past, a counterpart always kept with The Tales of Lemia. The Cruel Lord invaded Nemus, raided the elven temples and stole both books, giving The Tales of Lemia to the seraphs in a trade deal and taking the grimoire back to The Darkened City.

Nemus ( nee-muhs ): The continent where the Cruel Lord occupied and oppressed

Medeis ( meh-dees ): The larger continent near Nemus where demons, seraphs, and many other beings reside.

Salian ( say-lee-ehn ): the satyr language not oft used except in poetry, songs, and rituals. Satyrs all learn it but speak the common tongue.

Silver Fern: a prolific plant in Iltain with strong analgesic and healing properties

Sink : A type of magic that draws power from outside sources and manipulates it for spell work (elves are the most common sinks in Ilitain)

Source : A type of magic where the powers are inherent to the being, and can only be manipulated to a certain degree ( e.g. demons have shadow powers, but not light powers)

Velin ( vay-lin ): an herb that is harmful to beings with inherent magic. It causes their abilities to be greatly inhibited, causing their healing to slow down and their bodies to be weakened.
