Proof #9

“Oh no, you’re pure chaos, and excitement. She was calm and relaxed. She loved singing. Her voice wasn’t great, but there was no more beautiful sound. We were married for two years.”

“And then what happened?”

“Life I suppose. We were kids, but when you get married that young you don’t take stock of what is your desire and what isn’t. You just want what others expect you to want so we did what we were supposed to do. We got married too soon and it became all about when we should have kids and I-”

“You didn’t?” Jacob pried.

“Well- I had a choice to make. She wanted to start a family. I didn’t.

So she left and found someone who would.

I’m not saying that’s the only reason- I was angrier then, more volatile.

I needed the time and space to work on myself to become a better version of myself.

And I think I did an okay job. But once I started at the church, things fell into place.

I was able to help people. I was able to be the person I always wanted to be. ”

“Do you still talk to her at all?” Jacob asked.

“We keep in touch. She’s with a nice man named Joey.” Joe laughed.

“I guess she has a type.” Jacob snickered.

“I guess so. But all that was many years ago now. I’m happy for her but it’s another lifetime really.” Joe grabbed Jacob’s hand. “And I have better things in my life now.”

“Like what?” Jacob asked. Joe stopped him and gave him a kiss in the middle of the street. When they pulled back Jacob smiled. “You didn’t answer the question.”

“Shut up.” Joe chuckled and pulled him in for another kiss.

“So… I guess you’re bisexual then?” Jacob asked, somewhat hopeful.

“I’ve always had feelings before. But with you…

It’s a bit more intense. It’s like you’re a new colour that I’ve always known about, but never realized was there.

You make me feel many things.” Jacob hugged Joe.

He had hoped for a stronger answer, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt unsure about everything.

“I was really hoping for an enthusiastic yes.” Jacob responded.

“Sexuality is complicated I guess.” Joe whispered in Jacob’s ear. Jacob felt Joe slide his hand down his back and pull him closer. Underneath his jeans, he could feel Joe’s erection poking into his thigh. “I have a really wicked idea if you’re up for it.”

“We never did get to finish in the fish store.” Jacob whispered.

“We did what now?” Joe asked.

“I’m up for it.” Jacob yipped a bit too fast.

“Then follow me.” Joe growled, and grabbed Jacob’s hand as they arrived at the church. Instead of going in the front they slipped into a side door, made their way through the halls.

“Your office?” Jacob asked, feeling a prick of excitement in his brain.

“Very important people only.” Joe cooed. “And this is a very important business.”

Coffee. (Extra Hot)

Joe opened the door to the space, which was actually a lot more boring than Jacob had anticipated.

In one part of the room hung a collection of special vestments and robes- most of which appeared to have never been worn.

There were a few chairs, a green couch in the corner, and a fancy black desk by a series of stained glass windows.

The one wall was covered in books which appeared to be slapped together in an organizational system created by a man in college who never learned to organize.

“Make yourself comfortable.” Joe said.

“Lots of books I see.” Jacob marvelled at the library. It wasn’t huge by any means, but was certainly larger than his.

“What can I say? I read.” Joe laughed.

“Should I leave my bird outside?” Jacob asked.

“I’m not going to watch you pervs do this.” Teddy lied. He fluttered to the corner by the books and nestled himself amongst them.

“He’ll be fine up there. As long as he doesn’t make a mess on everything.”

“Oh fuck off.” Teddy muttered.

“Maybe he’s not the one you should be worried about.” Jacob chuckled.

“Well, to my knowledge you’re at least housetrained. Here, I’ll be right back. Make yourself comfortable.” Joe smirked as he walked into a room which Jacob assumed was a bathroom. When he was out of range, Jacob poured over the books on the wall.

“Do you see anything here that might be useful?” Jacob asked.

“Useful for what?” Teddy responded.

“The spells? The books? Brewcasting in general? Whatever would be helpful! There must be some things here related to old magic if this is what they’re defending against.” Jacob responded.

“Wait… Do you think I can read? Oh that’s adorable.”

“Dammit Teddy!” Jacob whispered. “Okay- let’s see- Trauma, divorce, how to win at poker- something called Geist Fleisch?”

“That last one sounds expensive.”

“Oh no, I’m sure it’s very reasonably priced, and likely a good story by a great author, maybe even a part of an ongoing series of great books, but that’s not the point Teddy!” Jacob poured over the shelves but couldn’t find anything strange. “These all seem like regular therapy books.”

“They might be. I mean, we don’t know for sure if this is the Templar sanctum or not. I just figured-” Teddy began, but then his nose seemed to pick up something.

“What is it?”

“I… think I sense something? On that shelf over there.” Teddy motioned to another shelf with his beak.

“This one is just a bunch of symbols?” Jacob asked as he looked through a couple more- when something caught his eye. “Wait… I think I feel it too.”

The feeling was subtle, but definitely there. Like a magnet drawing him to a specific shelf. These books appeared older and didn’t have any words on their spines. Jacob held out his hand, and as he did, one of the books on the shelf started to rumble slightly.

“That one. Grab that one.” Teddy said. Jacob did.

The book itself was heavy, and very, very dusty, but when he opened it, the pages seemed to spring to life. He wasn’t sure what language it was written in, but it seemed like he didn’t have any problems understanding it.

“What does it say?” Teddy asked.

“Mysticism for dummies?” Jacob read the title and frowned. “I expected something else.”

“Well check it out.” Teddy responded. “Does it seem mystical?”

“Hard to say- but yeah. I think so.” Jacob said as small flecks of gold began to circulate around the pages.

His hands began to glow as he took the book and quickly poured over as much of it as he could.

“Here, they’re actually talking about Brewcasting.

It isn’t a new form of magic at all. It might be one of the oldest. But…

apparently it was considered one of the most dangerous due to its unpredictability. ”

“Sounds about right so far.” Teddy smirked.

“Actively discouraged… Volatile… The magic can be ended by finding a break or…”

“Or what?”

“Killing the witch.” Jacob frowned. He didn’t like the sounds of that one.

“Well- that took a turn.” Teddy said. “And one of those does sound easier than the other.”

“Teddy!”

“Just saying.”

“A break. What is a break?” Jacob asked as he began to look through the book.

“Fifteen minutes to grab a coffee?” Teddy shrugged. “Do they explain it in there?”

“Hold on- I’m looking.” Jacob responded. “A breaking of the original vessel will undo the flow and the magic will cease.”

“The vessel? Like the coffee cup it was served in?” Teddy responded. That didn’t sound right.

“Breaking the cup breaks the spell?” Jacob asked. “But… What cup? There’s been so many cups!”

“And a few of them were disposable so they’ve likely already been thrown out.” Teddy responded. “Does that mean those are already broken?”

“Apparently not… So the spell will last until they decompose…” Jacob grit his teeth. That wasn’t good.

“Or until they kill you. Whatever happens first.”

“I don’t like these options.” Jacob whispered.

“Well how about you choose this instead?” Joe called out from behind him. Shocked, Jacob dropped the book and whipped around to see Joe completely naked in the doorway. The sight was breathtaking. He looked good. Jacob took a moment just to drink him in.

“In a church?” Jacob exclaimed.

“Do you need to repent for anything?” Joe purred.

“I… I think I might. Do you want me to get on my knees, Father?”

“Call me Daddy.” Joe growled.

“Oh boy, I’ll be over here.” Teddy fluttered away.

“Okay Daddy…” Jacob said as he closed the distance between them.

Joe reached out and grabbed Jacob to pull him into a deep passionate kiss.

His naked body pressed against Jacob’s as he let his hands slide under his shirt to expose his torso.

Jacob moaned and Joe gently caressed his nipple.

He could feel Jacob’s cock hardening against his jeans, and in a moment of ecstasy, quickly unbuttoned them and threw them away.

His briefs didn’t last much longer and before long they were both naked and grinding into each other as their bodies grew hot from their intoxicating embrace.

Jacob explored Joe’s firm body with his hands running them up and down him as if he was seeking for water in a desert.

“You feel amazing.” Joe whispered.

“You are amazing.” Jacob returned.

Joe whipped him around and laid him down upon the arm of the couch. As he did, he grabbed some kind of oil from a container and began to stroke himself.

“What’s that?”

“Just consecrated oil. We get them in bulk from the adult store.” Joe chuckled.

“What else do you get from there?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Joe said with a seductive tone. He dropped his voice as he approached Jacob, taking the oil with him. “Tell me what you want.” Joe said as his erection began to gently tease at Jacob’s eager and willing hole.

“I want you to have me. I want you to fuck me.” Jacob was so aroused he could barely speak. Sentences were hard, and so was he.

“Good boy.” Joe slowly bucked his hips and slid inside of him.

With a gasp and a moan of consent Joe began to thrust. Gently at first but with increasing ferocity. The feeling felt natural to him. Like a sock puppet that had finally found the perfect filler.
