CHAPTER 1 Athena
This scene takes place in August, around fifteen months after the end of Audacity and around three years before the epilogue. It coincides with the Alchemy gang’s joint fortieth celebration as featured in Always Alchemy.
When I emerge into the sunlight courtyard of the Sorrel Farm spa, I’m so blissed out from my facial that I feel a little drunk. Gabe and I are here for the fortieth birthday weekend Gen Wolff and some of her friends are throwing, and so far it’s been a hoot. A sociable evening in the resort’s Walled Garden last night has given way to a chilled day today ahead of the big party this evening in the Main Barn.
