The mattress dipped beside me, and I jolted awake. The first thing I saw was Danté watching me with wide eyes. Why was he looking at me like that? It took me a few moments to chase the sleepy haze off my mind. Then everything that happened last night came back, and my toes curled at the memories. Danté sat back down on the bed, removing some wild hair strands from my face.
“Good morning,” he whispered and leaned down to kiss my forehead. “Did you sleep well?”
The sweetness made me smile. If this was how waking up with him was, I wanted this every morning of my life. I hummed and appreciated the heat of his hand against my neck. He pressed another kiss to my mouth. Danté smelled like toothpaste. His hair was still wild, and I wanted to make it even wilder, to have another round before Jasmine came back.
“Why are you up so early?” I asked as I yawned.
“It’s past 9 AM.”
Great. He was one of those horrible people who could get up early and thrive in the morning. After a nice stretch, I let myself fall back against my pillow.
“That’s what I said.”
Danté watched me with amusement. “What are your plans today?”
The list of everything I needed to do unfolded in my head. Starting with scrubbing off all the sweat and other residues that probably still clung to my skin. Then, of course, breakfast, going to the gym, cooking, cleaning the apartment, doing the laundry. Now I could also add “having mind-blowing sex with my boyfriend” to it. Because wow. He had not disappointed. No wonder so many girls had come back so many times.
I cleared my throat. “Oh, you know, the usual.”
The way his grin turned catlike indicated that Danté had caught on to where my thoughts were headed. I touched my cheek. Yep, definitely blushing. The gesture only made his amusement grow. I waited for him to comment on it, to make fun of me.
“Let’s go to a cat café,” he offered instead.
“A cat café,” I repeated dumbly.
Post sex Evy wasn’t the brightest light out there.
“You know, like a date.”
I did my best to not grin like an idiot, not that it really worked. There went the extra round. I couldn’t mind. As long as I spent my time with him, it was all good.
“Oh, okay. I’ll need to shower first.”
I got out of bed and rummaged through my wardrobe to pick up a comfy outfit. If we were going to spend the next few hours with kitties, there was no need to be all dolled up. I looked back at Danté and his dishevelled look.
“If I remember correctly, you offered to carry me once.”
His attention that had been on his phone, was now mine and mine only. The phone slipped from his fingers, already forgotten.
“I hope the offer still stands,” I continued in a soft voice.
Danté practically jumped from the bed. A second later, I was pressed against the door.
“Oh babe, I’ll do anything you want and more,” he purred. “All you need to do is ask.”
His teeth raked down my throat. Danté looked up as his fingers caressed my breasts, and my breath hitched. He let out a hiss when my hands roamed over the hardness in his pants. Danté grabbed my hands and placated them against the door. I couldn’t help the whimper that escaped my lips when he pressed his erection against my core.
“Come on, love, what are you waiting for?” he asked in a whisper.
“Fine,” I choked out at the next movement of his hips, unable to move or touch him myself. “Please take me now.”
My cheeks grew hotter, but I didn’t care. I would beg for him if that was what he wanted.
Danté’s hot breath tickled my neck as he laughed. “There you go.”
Without wasting any more time, he picked me up. My legs wrapped around his middle and I went for his mouth. I could barely register the water being turned on, too lost in this haze. It was with care and patience that Danté helped me undress, like no matter how much he wanted this, he would take all the time in the world. The moment we were both under the hot water, Danté peppered kisses to my cheeks, my neck, my shoulders. My skin burned everywhere his lips touched me. He kept going farther down until he was on his knees. It was with utmost gentleness that he placed my leg and hand on his shoulders. Oh, gods. Danté looked up once, his grin wolfish.
“Hold on tight, love. You’re going to be here a while.”
