CHAPTER 26

LORELEI

T he shadows and darkness are less than they have been. I don’t want to be here anymore. Sometimes, the damsel in distress has to save her damn self.

Every new memory the guys have given me by visiting me gives me a happy time to push into the darkness. For a long while, I thought I was making them up in a pathetic need to have them with me. Instead, seeing them all together helped me realize that they’re using the bond to spend time with me in the cage of my mind.

If I was a stronger person, I would tell them to forget me, to move on, but I’m not. I’m greedy, I want to live my life with my mates.

“This isn’t fair!” I scream, slamming my hands down on the ground.

My tantrum makes my world turn upside down, but instead of darkness, there’s a bright light that surrounds me. Fuck, I’ve gone and done it now. I’m going to heaven, right?

Did I finally cause my brain to have an aneurysm? All of this fucking with my brain has made it explode.

“ Lorelei, can you hear me?” Phenex’s worried voice flows through the bond. I feel nauseous from the tumbling, and the loud sound of what feels like a tornado crawling through my senses.

Everything is too loud.

“I can hear you,” I mumble. Was that out loud? Or did I hallucinate feeling my lips move?

“This isn’t a hallucination,” Alecto says, chuckling under his breath. “God, you’re so fucking precious. Open your eyes, baby.”

“I can’t believe it,” Bast says, his voice cracking and rough. “I almost fucking missed this. Lorelei, open your eyes. I have to take a piss, but I’ll go in a damn jar if it means that you’ll wake up.”

My lips twitch because I know he doesn’t have any issues sticking his dick where it doesn’t belong.

“She smiled,” Samael breathes. “Lorelei. It’s your birthday. Wake up, baby.”

“My birthday?” I ask, yawning as if I haven’t slept at all before forcing my eyes open.

I’m in a bedroom I’ve never seen before that reminds me of a log cabin, the sun is shining onto my bed, and I’m surrounded by my monsters.

“Happy twenty-first birthday,” Alecto says softly. Reaching out to some plastic tubing next to me, he shuts off the liquid that’s sliding into my vein. “One year asleep instead of a hundred isn’t too bad, sweetheart.”

“Speak for yourself,” Phenex grumbles. “You’ve been a mess along with us.”

“A year!” I squeal, pushing myself up in the bed. Hands support me, with others pushing pillows behind me to prop me up.

“Christa meant to kill you when she injected you with that virus,” Samael explains. “My parents and the Demon Council will be torturing her for years to come. We’ve been trying everything to help bring you back. Alecto has been pumping you with an IV meant to warm you up.”

“In my mind, it felt like sunshine,” I rasp, my voice cracking with disuse. “I used it to push away the darkness and shadows. I was sure that it wouldn’t work. And then everything went nuts.”

“You had another seizure,” Phenex explains. “Alecto said it was normal, but this one felt different. So I reached out to you.”

“And I heard you,” I whisper, tears filling my eyes. “I shouldn’t cry.”

“You should do whatever the fuck you want,” Bast growls, taking my hand. “This has been the worst year of our lives, but we also learned so much from each other and you. We all quit working at the university.”

“What?” I ask, shaking my head as I struggle to process that. “Why?”

“I realized I want to create differently than I have been,” he says, swallowing hard. “I’ve been writing you songs.”

“And we’ve been singing them together,” I remember. “You wrote those?”

“Mmhmm,” he says.

“I quit to work in a laboratory I made just off the house,” Alecto says softly. “Samael took up hunting.”

“I had a lot of anger to work through,” Samael grunts. “I think I’m going to work for the Council from now on hunting down their criminals.”

“And I’m going to work for the Council to make sure that history is being preserved as it should be,” Phenex explains. “It’ll give us the freedom to spend more time with you, go wherever you want.”

“My head is spinning,” I whisper, watching as Alecto holds cotton down on my skin as he removes the IV from my arm. He quickly wraps a bandage around it and I can feel the compression from the wrapping.

“This will keep you from bruising, though you’ll heal it quickly,” he says. “Whatever you want to do, it’s your choice. No more working in a dead end job or worrying about money, though. Please. We have more money than we know what to do with.”

“Alecto especially,” Samael says with a smirk. “Today, we celebrate your birthday.”

“I was hoping you’d wake up,” Phenex says, biting his lip. His eyes are shiny with unshed tears and he swallows hard. “I baked a cake, didn’t even pretend to hide it.”

“This cabin is too small to hide the smell of anything baking,” Bast says with a grin. “Are you hungry?”

My stomach growls, and I laugh, tears thick in my throat.

“I am, but I may need to fight you for the restroom. I really have to pee,” I say.

Picking me up, Bast gets off the bed and begins to walk to the bathroom.

“I got you, Baby Girl,” he says. “I like it better when I get to carry you around anyway.”

Laying my head on his chest, I grin. I never thought I’d get a chance to experience this again while I was awake. I’ll never complain about him carting me around again.

Three years later

I’m celebrating my birthday and graduation a little differently than I ever thought possible.

“Lorelei Rose,” the Dean of the Chemistry department calls my name with a wide smile.

Walking across the stage, I wave to my screaming mates who also have a two year old cheering in their arms. ‘Why wait?’ extended into a lot of sex the year I woke up in, while also attending classes at the University of Monsters and Education.

Samael simply transported me to my classes or the library, and we continued to live in our cabin. The university said they understood the worry about security and that I didn’t have to live on campus in order to attend classes.

I finished my undergraduate degree in record time, and then completed my masters in a year for biochemistry, so I can continue my experiments to clone my DNA with monster embryonic cells. There’s an entire division of monsters who are deemed infertile in this country, and I’ve been granted the opportunity to change this.

Walking down the stairs with my degree in hand, I gasp when someone grabs my hand. Thorley, my ex-roommate looks up at me with sad and guilty eyes.

“What’s wrong?” I ask, sending an SOS through the bond to Samael. I no longer fuck around with my safety, not even in an effort to be nice.

My mate appears at my back, glaring at Thorley and where he’s touching my hand.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have touched you,” he says softly as he relinquishes my hand. “I wanted to apologize to you for the way Valaria behaved. We were dating for a small period of time, and the shit she’d say was wild. I didn’t realize she was working with President Christa until everything blew up and you pulled out of school. When I was going through Valaria’s apartment to pack up her things for the school after she disappeared, I figured out that she was part of this weird hate group.”

I came out into the light about being the only living omega. I had to in order to discuss my DNA and protocol plans to help monsters conceive who wanted to. It’s going to be a hard road, and there will be bumps, but so far I’m optimistic. I have a path I want to follow to help others.

Phenex has been on the news lately too, explaining about the history of omegas and monsters. He says that the misstep society took was keeping their relationships a secret. We refuse to do that.

“Thank you,” Samael says for me as I gape at Thorley. “You couldn’t have known she was part of some insane hate group.”

“No, but she was seriously obsessed with Professor Gorsch,” he says, shaking his head. “She used to make me pretend to be him when I was fucking her.”

“There was something really fucked up about Valaria,” Samael says, gently pushing me into motion. Yeah, I think we’re done here. “Good luck, Thorley.”

“I hope he does some sort of background check on his next girlfriend,” I mutter to him as we leave my ex-roommate behind.

Samael chuckles as we walk, and soon we’re joining our family. Circe waves at me from Phenex’s arms, bouncing excitedly. She has blue skin, violet eyes, and curly blonde hair.

She’s perfect.

“Hey, gorgeous,” I say, hugging her with a smile.

“We go now?” she whispers as she throws her arms around my neck and squeezes.

“We should stay, but…” I trail off, pouting up at Phenex. My mates snicker, knowing that he’s going to cave for me.

“We have a beach vacation to get to,” he sighs. “And a wedding to be a part of. It’s time to make you an honest woman.”

“It may be a little late for that,” I say with a grin.

Samael’s grown in his powers over the last three years. He can now transport all of us together.

“Hush, brat,” Alecto says with a small smile. “Our things are at the bungalow already, we may as well go.”

“They are?” I ask, eyes wide as I snuggle my gorgeous daughter.

“Yes, they are,” Bast says with a smirk. “There’s no reason to wait, unless we want to be polite.”

“I’m good,” I say with a wince once I realize how awful that sounded.

“You’re perfect,” Samael says. “Take my hand.”

I think this is more so that he can hold it than because he needs to at this point, but I hold his hand with a smile.

“Hold onto Mommy, baby,” I tell Circe.

“I would find you anywhere, Mommy,” she promises, making my eyes water.

Ugh, I’ve become so hormonal recently.

One moment I’m at the university, and the next I’m in Florida on a blanket of beautiful white sand. There’s an archway of pretty flowers in front of me, and my mates’ parents are surrounding us.

“I hear there’s a wedding,” Phenex’s parents say with a smile.

The only parents we’re missing are mine and Alecto’s, but he is beaming with happiness regardless. It’s a happy day.

Taking off my graduation robe, I enjoy Alecto’s gasp as my mates see my beachy white dress. While it’s not a traditional wedding dress, it’s perfect for moving around, chasing a toddler, and living.

“We are ready when you are,” Samael says, nodding to where his parents are standing underneath the arch. “They wanted to marry us.”

“Really?” I ask. Getting married was something that we decided on as a whim. When I said yes, the guys got things in motion.

I checked out of the details while getting ready for our vacation after my graduation. I knew they had it handled.

I also haven’t said more than a handful of words to Samael’s parents, which is another reason I’m surprised.

“They love you because you love me,” he says with a shrug. “It’s that simple.”

“Then I’m ready,” I say with a smile. My sandals sink into the sand as Circe walks me down the aisle in a way that’s more us running than walking, and the guys grin as they wait at the end for us.

My cheeks are flushed with excitement, my curls tumbling down my back as I stand in front of them. Leaning down, I pick up my daughter, and she watches with wide eyes as Samael’s parents marry us to her fathers.

“By the power vested in us by the Demon Council, I pronounce you husbands and wife,” Rosemary says with a smile.

“Feel free to kiss the bride,” Terrance adds.

The guys give me sweet kisses, and everyone claps as they cheer. The sun is beginning to set, and everyone smiles indulgently as Circe yawns widely.

“Can we take her for the night?” Rosemary, Samael’s mother, asks tentatively. “We actually decided to grab a room at the hotel here.”

“We did too,” Phenex’s parents say, while Bast’s parents nod.

“We’ll deliver her to your rental house midway through the afternoon tomorrow?” Terrance, her husband, asks knowingly while I blush.

“As long as she doesn’t ask for us, that’s fine,” Samael says, materializing Circe’s bag. “Do you want to stay the night with your grandparents, Circe?”

“All of them?” she asks with wide eyes.

“The rooms may all connect, so yes,” Rosemary says with a nod. “What do you think?”

“Mommy, will you miss me?” Circe asks.

“I will, but I think I’ll be able to survive if it’s just one night,” I tell her, rolling my lips inward to hide my smile. “What do you think?”

“I really want to go,” she says, nodding wildly.

Rosemary holds her arms out for Circe, catching her easily when she jumps toward her.

“I love how much you love your mommy,” she says, hugging her. “Are you hungry?”

“Yes, maybe for pizza?” Circe asks.

Samael gives his mother a nod as we begin to walk.

“Please don’t disappear on your grandparents,” Samael says sternly to her as she nods. God, all I need is for her to appear while her fathers are railing me.

That’s one horror I’d like never to happen.

“I promise, Daddy,” Circe agrees.

“Thank you for watching her,” Phenex says, wrapping his arms around my waist.

“Oh, this is definitely our treat,” Rosemary says. “Want to disappear with me like you do with Daddy?”

At Circe’s nod, Rosemary dematerializes with all the grandparents.

“Show off,” Samael says with a smirk, touching my arm to do the same with my mates.

The rental is on the beach, and the living room has pretty, gauzy curtains to keep people from looking in. Everything is done in pretty blue shades, but I’m more interested in the bedroom.

Tugging Samael to keep him walking with me, I walk into the bedroom with a grin on my face.

“You smell fucking delicious,” he growls, burying his face in my neck. I haven’t used my descenting spray today, knowing I would slowly be making them all insane.

“Arms up,” Bast says, pulling my dress over my head. He groans as he sees the perfectly white bra and panty set that I bought for today.

It’s the only thing I really wanted when I went online shopping a few days ago. This has been planned for exactly a week, as it was very spur of the moment. I’m surprised the guys were able to coordinate their parents to attend.

“Fucking stunning,” Phenex says tugging down the cups of my bra to bury his face in my tits as I giggle. “Happy birthday, wife.”

“Thank you,” I murmur. I can’t believe this is my twenty-fourth birthday when I didn’t think I'd get to live this long, much less have a toddler and a graduate degree.

My fingers play in Phenex’s hair, my breaths getting heavier as he finds my nipple and begins to aggressively suck on it. They’re extra sensitive lately, but fuck if it doesn’t feel good.

“Yes,” I moan, dropping my head back onto Bast’s chest as he unsnaps my bra and shoves my panties down to reveal my body.

Samael dematerializes to take up residence between my thighs, and I begin to writhe as he sucks on my clit.

Bast doesn’t bother with the bed, as Phenex unsnaps his pants and shoves them down to reveal his cocks. Bast pushes my shoulders down as Phenex sits on the edge of the bed, and I open wide to suck on one of his cocks.

The salty and sweet taste of it makes me moan, his sweet peachy scent surrounding me as I slick down my thighs. Samael is making me fucking insane.

“I suppose I’m about to be a community cock,” Bast mutters, kicking his shoes and unbuckling his pants.

My mouth is full of cock, while Samael continues to torment me by licking me with his invisible tongue. Bast spreads my ass cheeks, notching the crown of his cock at my entrance.

“Such a pretty, sloppy mess for me,” he murmurs, his hips pushing his dick inside of me.

Moaning, I can feel my feet being pushed up until I’m on my toes. Bast’s hands tighten on my hips, pulling me back so that his dick sinks deeper inside of me. He’s thick enough for it to sting despite how wet I am, but I love the pain. The raised bumps on his cock feel incredible as it drags along the walls of my pussy as well.

“Fuck, you’re taking him so good,” Alecto murmurs, his fingers dragging down my spine. “I want to take your ass so badly. Are you up for it, birthday girl?”

“ Yes!” I yell through the mate bond since my mouth is currently very full. Unfortunately, I yelled it through all of my bonds, and they just laugh in this dark, manly way. It’s making me incredibly wet, and I shiver with anticipation.

Bast slaps my ass with the palm of his hand to get me moving, pulling his dick out of my cunt, and Phenex pulls me off his cock and tosses my body up onto the bed as I squeal.

They treat me like a rag doll, and I fucking love it.

Samael pops into corporeal form next to me, his hair wild and all fucked up as I grin at him.

“Being thrown while sucking your clit is a mind fuck, baby,” he says with a laugh.

It takes a bit of maneuvering, but I’m soon straddling Bast’s body and lowering myself onto his dick. Whimpering, my eyes roll back. He’s so much bigger in this position.

“Don’t hurt yourself, baby. Take it nice and easy,” Bast murmurs, sitting up to hold me as I whine. “Fuck, relax. You’re okay.”

He talks me through it as his fingers find my clit and he rubs it insistently so I’ll focus on something else. Alecto spreads my ass wide, making a sound as he watches my pussy swell around Bast’s thick cock. I gasp as his tongue begins to push inside of my ass, my fingers curling in desire.

“Ahhh,” I moan. “More, yes, oh.”

“Already losing your ability to speak, that may be a record,” Phenex teases me, his hand fisting my hair to pull my head back. My lips immediately part, eager to suck his cock.

Between them, they use my body for both their and my pleasure, and the cool feeling of lube hits my asshole. Bast is working on pushing his knot inside me, and pauses as Alecto kisses my shoulder and gently rubs his cock over my tight hole.

“You’re so fucking perfect,” he whispers as if in a prayer, and then he’s pushing his way into my ass. It almost feels like too much, and then I hear Bast curse before an invisible mouth begins to suck on my clit.

“Fucking Samael,” Bast mutters.

“ Please move,” I whine through the bond to him. My mouth is full with Phenex’s cock, while I jerk off the other bobbing against my throat. He’s very impatient, and I know I’m going to be wearing his cum very soon.

Bast thrusts up to fuck his knot into me, and my vision begins to white out as I come hard. Screaming around a cock, I continue to bounce on Bast’s knot as they all fuck me. It’s intense and feels so good to be worshipped completely by them.

In the next moment, Alecto is knotting my ass, his chest rumbling as he purrs for me. He whispers compliments as he comes, holding me tightly as he groans.

I have a long night of sex and little sleep, and I can’t fucking wait. I want all of my forevers to happen with them in this life and the next.

Four months later

I’m in the lab, working today with a baby bump that I’m trying to make sure I won’t bump into something. Turns out, I was pregnant during my honeymoon and didn’t realize it. While the first trimester made me a little sleepy, I’ve escaped the morning sickness so far.

I was so sick with Circe, if the universe were to decide that I deserve to escape that part of pregnancy, I’ll be forever grateful.

“How are you doing?” Alecto asks, walking up to survey the reports I’m analyzing. A trial for fertility using some of my DNA is currently being run, and so far the results are favorable.

He’s also been popping into the lab more, now that I’m pregnant, with snacks in an effort to remind me to eat. I honestly love the affection, and it doesn’t bother me in the least.

“Really good,” I murmur. “The results are looking great too.”

He huffs out a laugh, knowing that I’ve caught him checking on me for the third time today.

Together, we discuss the different groups, and how Group B mothers are pregnant. I’m not sure how much of my DNA will be needed, so each group has different amounts spliced into their eggs, in the hopes that when they were inserted again that they wouldn’t be rejected.

It’s a careful dance, with some sad moments, but the mothers in our experimental groups understand the dangers. They’ve all been told that despite having healthy eggs that they’d never be able to carry a baby or get pregnant due to other circumstances. So they come to me, and now we’re finding some really good results.

I know we won’t be able to help everyone, but it’s better than nothing.

“Remember that you can’t keep your heart in this, baby,” he says against the shell of my ear. “It’s too easy to break when you do.”

“I know,” I sigh, leaning against him. “I was actually just thinking about that. It’ll take baby steps, but it’s working. Over time, I won’t be the only omega anymore.”

We won’t know if Circe will be or not until she presents at eighteen the way I did. Our babies are so loved, regardless of designation. Now that I know what it’s like to have children, I want to help monsters who are having a difficult time. There’s another section of our fertility clinic that works on fertility for humans as well, and it’s all funded by the Demon Council.

Where I once thought that I’d need to be constantly fundraising and burning the candle at both ends, I can just do what I love instead.

My bloodwork is also pointing to a much extended life, but the only way to find out how long, is to live it to the fullest. I’ll cherish every second.

“I love you two,” Alecto murmurs, rubbing his hand over my stomach. “Thank you for coming back to us.”

I’ll be thankful every day for all of this. Every day is a gift.
