Chapter Twenty-Five

Promises

Ender

He said it again.

They say the third time is the charm, right?

Even if I didn’t believe him the first two times, this one means so much more.

He may be fucking me on his desk, but the emotion behind his words and every touch speaks louder than anything.

My heart wants to scream with joy, while my brain battles with the reality of Gabe loving me—willingly and unconditionally. “Never stop.”

He gazes lovingly into my eyes, and his expression tells me he sees the vulnerability behind my words. “Never,” he whispers against my lips. He can’t make the promise of forever—things happen, life and people both change—but the fact he’s willing to try means everything to me.

Gabe doesn’t stop his leisurely thrusting while he kisses everywhere his lips can reach.

When he takes my calves and places them over his shoulders, nibbling on them as he bottoms out and starts to move more forcefully, my hands instinctively hold onto the desk next to his hips.

His tight grip on my quads as he pounds into me will leave bruises, but the anticipation of the marks he’ll leave behind only spurs me on.

I bite my lower lip, staving off the lust-filled words fighting to break free—knowing that most of the staff are right down the hall.

Gabe isn’t as strong, growling when he sees my teeth sink into my lip, as he speeds up the pace, and I start stroking myself in sync.

Neither of us says anything—words aren’t needed right now.

Instead, our eyes are saying all we need to as our bodies push each other to the limit.

I feel him start to swell in me when he holds himself flush against my ass, his hands spreading my cheeks so he can go as deep as possible.

My cock follows his lead as I feel my orgasm crash into me, spilling cum all over my abs and chest. I can’t fight it any longer.

“I’m coming…fuck, Gabe,” I scream, no doubt loud enough for the whole restaurant.

He doesn’t seem to care, slamming into me a few more times, his cum acting as extra lube and adding to the lewd sounds in the room.

His shout echoes mine as he tenses before slumping over me, letting my legs fall to his sides.

He kisses me passionately, the strokes of his tongue driving me so wild that my balls release another stream of cum between us as I thrust upward against him one last time.

“What the fuck was that?” I ask with a gasping laugh. “I’ve never had that happen before.”

“Babe, ssshh. Don’t move.” Gabe has his face buried in my hair. “Give me one second.”

“Are you okay?”

“I’m good.” He finally raises his head, the light shining against his glassy eyes. “Can you hold it?” I know right away what he’s asking.

I clench and nod as he starts to pull out and rests my feet on the edge of the desk. “And what would you like me to do with this?” I smile and lean on my elbows, curious about what’s coming next.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” He throws my words back at me when he kneels down on the floor beneath my spread legs. With his eyes fixed on my hole and his fingers gripping my hips, he says, “Let it go.”

I relax my entire body and watch Gabe’s eyes blackout as he leans in, licking his cum as I release it.

My jaw drops, captivated by both the feeling of his tongue in my ass and knowing he’s eating his own cum out of me.

This is the second time he’s done this, and I have to admit, I fucking love it, my dick already stiffening for another round.

A knock on the door drowns out the obscene sound of Gabe sucking his cum out of my ass. “Fuck,” he whispers as he stands, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “Yeah, what do you need?”

Rachelle talks to Gabe through the door while I start cleaning myself up. When I put my boxers back on, I feel a little more of Gabe’s cum leak out of me. “Shit.” He looks over his shoulder and laughs quietly at me. “Will you stop it?” I grit through my teeth.

“She’s gone. You can relax.” He’s still laughing as he strides over, drinking me in from head to toe with a sultry stare. “You don’t have to put those back on,” he says, tugging down the waistband of my jeans as I try to zip them.

With a slap of my hand, he backs off. “Nope. We’re done here.” His eyes go wide when I place a hand on his chest and take a step back. “I’m already going to be running out of here with my head down, doing the walk of shame from my boyfriend’s office.”

My whining sends him into a fit of laughter, his deep voice reverberating off the walls.

“Awww, Bean. I can walk you out the back door if that’ll make you feel better.

” His palms cup my ass, pulling me closer.

“But for the record, the way you screamed my name was the hottest thing I’ve ever heard.

You shouldn’t be ashamed of enjoying yourself. ”

“You’re not serious, are you?” I can see he wants to laugh at his disbelief, but he controls himself. “On that note, I’m leaving,” I tell him with the shake of my head.

We only get two sets of staring eyes on us as he walks me to my car to give me a proper goodbye. I go slack in his arms as he finds that sweet spot on my temple—I’ll never get tired of his lips on me. “I love you, Blue.” I inhale and press my lips to his chest.

“I love you, Bean.”

I’ve been on cloud nine since Gabe first told me he loves me. I may have technically been the one to say it first, but he insists he holds that title because my ‘I love you’ was by accident—I let him have this win.

As we sit here listening to Faith and Dakota argue about their typical nonsense, Gabe tenderly massages my lower back. “Does this feel better or worse?” His concerned gaze makes my heart ache in a good way.

“Better. Thank you.” He’s felt terrible for hurting me that day in his office, apologizing every chance he gets for fucking me so hard on his desk that, my back has been bruised and sore since.

Just as he’s about to respond, Luke and Kaden walk in only a few minutes late. Dakota, Gabe, and Connor all stand at once, hooting and hollering, while Lanie and Faith clap to congratulate our friends for finally making it on time for a change.

“Alright, assholes, you can stop with the theatrics now.” We all laugh at Luke’s protest.

“Awww, someone’s grumpy. I guess that means they’ll be sneaking around later.” Gabe’s not wrong—Kaden and Luke haven’t stopped their sneaking around for alone time, and probably never will.

Within minutes of them joining the crowd, Connor and Gabe get into a discussion about which hockey position is more important.

Gabe, of course, says the center is the most important player, having to support both offense and defense.

I insist it’s only because of his love for the Habs’ center, and instead, agree with Connor—goalies are by far the superior and most important player on the team.

I relax and watch the debate go on for way too long before Kelsey and Austin show up.

Right away, Austin and Luke head to the bar for their little bromance, while Kelsey distracts Connor from his debate with my boyfriend.

“Need a drink?” Gabe rises off the couch.

“I’ll come with you.” We find a little corner by the end of the bar and make ourselves comfortable. Gabe nudges me when we see Kaden approach Luke and Austin at the other end of the bar. “What do you say to a wager on how much longer before they leave for the night?”

“Babe, they just got here.” I roll my eyes at his over interest in their trysts. “I’d give them at least an hour.”

“Ten minutes, max.” Gabe reaches for my hand to solidify the bet.

“I’ll take that bet.” I clasped his hand in mine, remembering fondly the last time we made a bet in this bar. “Anything over ten minutes, I win.”

“Anything under ten minutes, and I win.” We mirror each other’s grins.

“What’s at stake?”

His gaze turns to the windows as he says, “One favor.”

We lock eyes again when I tell him, “I’m afraid to ask.” Before I even finish my sentence, Gabe smirks as he looks over my shoulder. I quickly turn to see Kaden dragging Luke out of the bar.

“I guess you owe me that favor now.” I slowly turn to face him, waiting to hear my fate.

“And what’s the favor?”

“Let me love you.” His words stun me into silence. “And I don’t mean just right now. I mean forever.”

“Gabe…” I’m breathless.

“I know I can’t promise forever, Ender.” I love the way he says my name. “I sure want to try, though.” My heart jumps into my throat as tears well in my eyes. He wants to stay, to love me.

“I love you, Ender. With every piece of my soul.” He pulls me in until there’s nothing separating us but our breath.

I stop the emotions from breaking free, refusing to open my eyes.

“I know I will always love you. Because this—” His hand touches my chest while he places mine on his.

“—isn’t something I can walk away from.” I feel his lips brush against mine as he says, “So, just let me love you.”

My fist tightens around his shirt as I rest my forehead on his shoulder. His fingers thread through my hair, sending chills down my spine. “Okay,” I mumble against his skin.

“What was that?” Gabe teases, lightly squeezing my hip.

“I said okay.”

He cups his hand around his ear. “I didn’t quite hear you. What did you say?”

I meet his gaze head-on. “Just stay here with me, Gabe.”

His thumb swipes the tear rolling off my chin. “Consider it done.”

“Promise?” I ask him, leaning into his hand.

He raises a pinky between us. “Promise.” My eyes bounce back and forth between those blue eyes that I fell head over heels for, watching his unwavering sincerity. When I hook our pinkies and pull them up to my heart, he kisses me with the heat of a thousand suns.
