Chapter 34 #2

He twisted his hand deeper into my hair, forcing me to arch my back. I ground on his tail and—oh, gods, there. I cried out.

“Yes, little mate,” he growled. “Come for your dragon.”

With wails and guttural cries, I climaxed with my hand wrapped around his dripping cock and his tail in my ass.

It was torment that my pussy was empty. I wanted his cock.

I wanted his knot. I wanted him to fill me like only a dragon could, and he was holding that back from me until he saw me come on just his tail.

Gods, he was a merciless, gorgeous man, and I loved him so much I ached.

My ass was still fluttering around his tail when he put me back on my hands and knees, withdrew his tail, pressed his thick cock against my pussy, and buried himself in me all the way to his knot in a half-dozen absolutely perfect thrusts.

I came so hard on the final thrust that my scream would have traveled through the entire valley and beyond if we hadn’t installed sonic dampers on the roof. My dragon liked to make his little mate scream up here.

“Elena,” Ardruc rasped, his arm tight around my waist. He stayed buried deep inside me, his knot pressed against my pussy. “Little mate. I love you.”

“I love you,” I gasped. “So much. And not just because you just made me see actual stars.”

He chuckled, the sound strained. “Fly with me, my love. I need you take my knot. I want to be in the sky and as deep inside my beautiful, brilliant wife as I can be.”

Gods, he did have it bad for me tonight.

“Eager dragon,” I teased breathlessly. “You can’t wait?”

“No.” He slipped his hand between my thighs to circle my clit. I moaned. “Sweet little Elena.” He kissed my shoulder. “I want to fill you and feel you come on my knot. What can I do to persuade you to agree?”

I looked over my shoulder and started to make up some ridiculous demand just to see how much I could get him to promise—and spotted an astonishing sight that emptied my head of all those thoughts.

“Ardruc,” I said slowly. “Are those…pink clouds floating above the station?”

“They are.” He kissed my shoulder again and nuzzled my damp skin. “A gift from the Vorsa and your hopelessly devoted husband.”

Fortusia’s beautiful pink clouds were one of my favorite things about Ardruc’s home planet. For a variety of reasons, we hadn’t been able to visit since the twins were born. A few nights ago, I’d mentioned in an offhand way how much I missed the pink clouds.

Ardruc inhaled sharply and stilled. “Elena, are you—”

“No, I am not crying,” I said, with the tiniest of sniffles. “I got something in my eye.” I sniffled again. “And nose.”

To my surprise, he eased himself from me. When I whimpered in protest, he urged me to rise to my feet and turned me to face him.

My dragon was so beautiful on his knees in front of me, sitting on his heels with his wings outstretched, eyes glowing, and glistening cock arching up toward his stomach.

He drew me closer, kissed my abdomen, and clasped my hands in his own much larger ones.

“Little mate,” he said, gazing up at me. “I promised on all three of our wedding days that anything you need, I will do my best to provide it. That includes pink clouds.”

I kissed his hair and managed a wobbly smile. “That’s an awful lot of trouble to go to just to bribe me to take your knot in the sky, sneaky dragon.”

With a chuckle, he rose. “Forehead kisses, orgasms, and pink clouds on request. Anything my little mate wants, she will get. I made that promise too.” He bent to wrap me in his arms. “A dragon keeps his promises,” he murmured in my ear.

“To the clouds, then,” I said, snuggling into his embrace. “Before they blow away.”

Not that I thought they would. The night had stilled, and those beautiful, fluffy clouds looked like they would stay that way for a while.

My dragon wrapped his tail around me and carried me up into the sky.

We flew in widening circles around the station as he gained altitude. I pressed my lips to his chest and drank in his scent and the way he rumbled just for me…and for Luvia and Adrea whenever one or both lay on his chest to nap.

Higher and higher we climbed as I stroked his cock and he murmured into my ear how much he loved me.

For all his impatience to give me his knot, he seemed to be savoring every moment of this flight.

Maybe he thought we might not be able to do this again for a while, or maybe he wasn’t thinking any farther ahead than these perfect moments.

When I took his beautiful cock inside me, he held me to his chest and thrust gently until his knot bumped against me. And then he carried me up into the pink clouds.

The thick mist smelled sweeter than I expected, with a hint of what I would have sworn was a smoky brandy scent if I didn’t know better. Surely Ardruc couldn’t have found a way to blend his scent into the clouds?

Nothing was impossible on Vorsa World, though—not even pink clouds that smelled like my mate.

He guided me on his cock until I came with a soft cry, my nails digging into his shoulders in the way he liked so much. And then he cooed. I rested my head against his chest and let him hold me as he gave me his knot in three gentle thrusts. It swelled inside me, a perfect fit.

I whimpered with need. “Ardruc,” I gasped, my voice muffled by his hot skin and the thick cloud around us.

He’d already claimed me so many times, and so thoroughly, but there was something about this moment that made me say, “Dragon. Claim me, please.”

He filled me with snarls and growls, his movements and sounds bringing me to a second climax that was even more satisfying because he made a low sound deep in his chest that I never heard unless I was coming on his knot.

Warm and content and so full of him, I pressed my lips to his Vorsa mark, closed my eyes, and breathed him in.

Strange how improbable it seemed for a human mycologist from Fyloria to be married and mated to an atmospheric scientist from Fortusia, and yet how inevitable too. When I looked back down our paths, every step—even the stumbles, falls, and lost ways—had led to this moment in the clouds.

Science and logic could explain it, but it was miraculous too.

“Elena,” Ardruc said, cupping the back of my head. From his tone, I thought that wasn’t the first time he’d spoken. “Little mate?”

“Sorry.” I kissed his chest. “I got lost in thought.”

“As my brilliant wife is known to do, even while flying in miraculous pink clouds with her mate’s knot inside her.” He nuzzled my hair. “What thoughts are filling your head tonight, my love?”

“I was thinking about a stuffy dragon,” I said, and tapped his nose so it would twitch adorably. “And all the reasons I married him three times.”

“Three times,” he mused. “You must love that stuffy dragon.”

“I do.” I cupped his face with both hands. “What should we do now?”

He considered. “We could return to the roof so I can hold you until my knot eases, or fly farther out into the valley, or…”

“Or?” I prompted.

He squeezed me. “Or we could fly to our forest refuge and take a little more time away.”

When Ardruc and I returned from our first visit to Fortusia three years ago, we’d discovered the Nyvoran research stations were already gone.

We’d lived in a capsule home during the construction of the new labs, and Vorsa World made us a beautiful, almost cathedral-like forest refuge in place of the small shelter they’d created for us first. As much as I’d loved that little secret place, our new refuge was a true masterpiece of pure Vorsa design and our first real taste of their beautiful natural architecture.

Nearly two years ago, Ardruc and I had made Luvia and Adrea on the refuge’s giant mossy bed. When we were ready to add to our little family, I planned to do so in the very same place…or in the sky above it.

“Well, we do have someone watching the girls tonight,” I mused. “I could be persuaded to take some more time away with my mate...if he was in the mood to teach me a lesson or two.”

His eyebrows went up. “Or two?”

“I’ve been very disobedient, Dr. Husiorithae,” I said, and he made an absolutely delicious rumbly sound. “No lab reports for a month, so much data not filed properly…” I lowered my voice and whispered, “And I haven’t obeyed your lab dress code all week.”

He puffed smoke out his nose and fixed me with a golden stare.

“There is only one proper response to that level of irresponsibility, Dr. Regis,” he growled, and gods above I quivered around him. “This rises to the level of willful insubordination. Will you never learn to follow my policies?”

“No, Doctor,” I said, and gave him my biggest, widest, most innocent eyes. “I really don’t think I will.”
