Chapter 19 The Other Woman

Mia’s eyes widened in surprise. “What…?” she whispered, but he silenced her with a rough kiss, a growl vibrating through his chest.

He slammed the end button on the call and tossed the phone onto the table.

Without a word, his hands gripped her hips, lifting her as he slid off the bed.

He moved with a predatory ease, pressing her against his chest as he strode toward the bathroom.

Steam curled around them, clinging to their slick skin as he yanked her under the cascading water.

The moment they were enveloped in the warmth, he drove into her again, hard and rough. Her back arched instinctively against him, hands clutching at his shoulders as her nails dug in. Water ran down their intertwined bodies, mixing with sweat and the taste of him, every movement slick, raw, urgent.

Mia’s cries shattered the rhythm of the water, trembling gasps and helpless moans spilling from her lips.

He leaned over her, lips brushing the side of her neck, teeth grazing her collarbone, his eyes dark with a ruthless hunger.

One hand gripped her thigh, dragging it higher, while the other dug into her waist, anchoring her to him.

Every thrust, every growl, every sharp exhale of his sent shivers racing through her body, waves of pleasure that left her trembling and weak.

He had never wanted another woman, but now he was maddened by the need to claim the one who had haunted him for years—to make her body, her breath, her very reflection belong only to him.

At last, Mia whimpered, her voice soft and hoarse. “Alexander… it’s been… three days…” Her face lifted from his shoulder, her lashes wet, eyes glossy as they met his. “I can’t take it anymore.”

Alexander’s gaze locked on hers, pupils filled with desire.

A low, guttural growl rumbled from his chest as his hand came up to push the messy strands of hair away from her flushed face.

Then his lips crashed against hers, hungry and breathless, swallowing her soft cries until she could barely breathe.

When he finally tore his mouth away, his voice was rough, murmuring against her lips, “My Mia is very good.” His breath was hot, eyes burning as he looked into hers. “Alright. Just one last time… then we’ll stop. Alright?”

Mia nodded weakly, her body trembling, breath unsteady.

She was lost—utterly consumed by him—as his hands began to roam again, tracing her slick skin with feverish possessiveness.

His lips nipped down between her thighs, licking her hungrily once again and she felt him, hard and ready against her once more, his control slipping with every shuddering breath between them.

The next day, every news channel was filled with Kylie’s face, but it wasn’t about her live stream or her popularity. The headlines were far worse.

Within hours, the internet exploded. Photos of Kylie with multiple men, some married, some twice her age, spread like wildfire.

She had no idea those pictures even existed until they appeared online.

Each one was worse than the last, her tangled in bedsheets, her face visible beside every man she’d slept with.

By noon, she had been dropped from every endorsement and film project she was attached to. Her reputation collapsed in a single morning.

Now, Kylie hid behind a concrete pillar down the street from her home, watching the swarm of reporters and flashing cameras surrounding her gate. Her hands trembled as she fumbled with her phone and dialed her agent.

The moment the call connected, Kylie’s furious voice exploded, “Where the hell were you? I’ve been calling all night! I told you to handle it! What the fuck is going on? Who’s managing this mess?”

But her agent cut her off coldly. “Don’t call me again. We’ve already terminated your contracts. You’re finished.”

The line went dead.

Kylie stood frozen, phone pressed to her ear, disbelief written across her pale face. Then she tried calling James — once, twice, three times — but every time the call cut off. Until finally, her phone beeped with a dull message: “This number has been blocked.”

Her breath hitched. Fury and humiliation crashed inside her. “You can’t just ignore me!” she shouted, her voice breaking. “You can’t do this to me, James!”

Without wasting another second, she spun on her heels and ran straight toward Sinclair Corporation.

***

At the Sinclair Corporation, inside the CEO’s office, the atmosphere was tense. James sat in his chair, eyes cold, while Neil and Gabriel stood on either side of his desk.

Gabriel held out a phone showing a blurred photo — Mia, with a tall man whose side profile was barely visible.

“I don’t think this is true,” Gabriel said in a dismissive tone.

“Still, I don’t understand what she was doing with someone like Alexander Graves.

Even I haven’t met him in all these years of business. ”

Neil snorted. “Please. You act like your business rules the world. It’s not even international yet — how would you ever cross paths with someone like him?”

Gabriel glared at him. “Watch your mouth!” He turned to James, his tone sharp. “It couldn’t have been Mia. You’re mistaken. There’s no way someone like Mia could have anything to do with a man like Alexander Graves.” Gabriel’s voice carried a mix of arrogance and disbelief.

Neil nodded in agreement. “Maybe you’re mistaken. Maybe the girl in that video isn’t Mia.”

“That is her,” James said, voice low, eyes fixed on the screen. His jaw tightened. “Williams still hasn’t managed to track her down. The club footage cuts off right after that clip. There’s nothing else.”

“Luxe isn’t some low-end place,” Gabriel said, raising an eyebrow. “It’s for the richest people in the country. No way the footage just disappeared. Someone had to delete it.”

“I agree,” Neil said, raising his brows. “It’s impossible. It’s not like Luxe lacks funding or can be influenced easily. Something’s off. Someone powerful must’ve made that footage disappear.”

Gabriel crossed his arms. “And you’re sure it’s not a technical issue?”

Before James could respond, the office doors burst open with a loud slam.

Kylie stumbled inside, her hair disheveled, eyes swollen from crying. The air in the room went still as all three men turned toward her. She ignored their stares and rushed straight to James, grabbing his arm with trembling hands.

“James!” she cried, her voice breaking. “Did you see the news? I can’t believe people are saying those horrible things about me! I can’t believe this is happening. They’re slandering me everywhere!”

James pulled his arm free, his expression cold. “Kylie, don’t make it worse. This is your mess. Handle it yourself.”

But Kylie only clung harder, desperation spilling from her.

“James, please! How can you abandon me like this? Those photos are fake! Some stupid AI-generated garbage! I’ve been hounded all day — reporters, producers, everyone turning against me.

Please, help me!” Her voice cracked as tears streamed down her cheeks.

“If you just make a statement saying they’re false, it’ll stop everything.

You know how much I love you. I’d never cheat on you! ”

Across the room, Gabriel exchanged a glance with Neil, both watching in silence. A quiet scoff escaped him. “She’s unbelievable. I actually thought she was this loyal, devoted goddess when it came to James.”

Neil shook his head slightly. “I did too. Never realized what a good liar she is. Look at her, she’s lying straight to his face. Everyone knows those pictures are real, and now she’s trying to convince him they’re AI?”

Gabriel scoffed. “Yeah. And to think I believed she actually loved him. She was starring in these kinds of adult films with other men right after leaving him. Pathetic.”

Meanwhile, Kylie’s sobs filled the office. “James!” she shouted, shaking his arm roughly. “I’m begging you. Please defend me! I can’t live like this. You have to help me. I love you, can’t you see that?”

James’s patience snapped. He shoved her hand away, his voice like a whip. “Enough, Kylie!”

But she refused to stop. “You love me, don’t you?” she cried hysterically. “All I’m asking is for you to make one statement — just one! Say those images are fake, that the rumors are lies! Please, James! You have to help me. I’ll lose everything if you don’t!”

James pressed a button on his telecom. “William, come inside.”

Kylie inhaled sharply, her chest tightening with fragile hope. ‘I knew he is in love with me. Only he’d be stupid enough believe me this easily,’ she thought, quickly wiping her tears and straightening her posture.

Moments later, the door opened and William stepped in, composed as always. “Yes, Mr. Sinclair?” he asked, his tone formal as he approached the desk.

James leaned back slightly, his expression hard. “Did you find her yet?” he demanded. “She’s in the city. You should’ve been able to track her by now.”

William glanced briefly at Kylie, confused by the sudden question, then looked back at James. “We still haven’t managed to locate Mrs. Graves, sir,” he said cautiously. “But we’re closing in. Now that we know she’s in the city, it won’t take long.”

Kylie’s stomach twisted. Every word felt like a slap. ‘He’s ignoring me for her?! I’ve been begging him, pleading for help, for protection, for a chance to fix my reputation—but he is still obsessing over that damn woman.

Her pulse quickened, anger rising like wildfire.

She slammed her palms on the desk and pushed his chair hard enough to make it swivel toward her.

“Are you kidding me?!” she shouted, her voice trembling with rage.

“I’ve been begging you—literally begging—to help me save my career!

I can’t even go back to my house anymore, and you’re sitting here worrying about that fucking bitch instead of me? ”

James’s face hardened. His patience, already thin, snapped completely. He stood abruptly, the chair scraping harshly against the marble floor. His tall frame loomed over her as his eyes darkened with fury.

“You’re the one who slept around with half the damn world, Kylie,” he snarled. “What the hell does that have to do with me?”

Kylie’s eyes filled with furious tears. She cried. “I’m telling you those pictures are fake—AI generated!”

“I’m not blind!” James roared, cutting her off. “I can tell the difference between fake and real and so can everyone else! No one’s going to believe that crap, Kylie!”

Her chest rose and fell rapidly as she gasped, tears mixing with anger.

“I did it for you!” she screamed, grabbing his collar in desperation.

Her hands trembled, but her voice was sharp and broken.

“All of this—everything that’s happening—is because of you!

Because of your fucking ex-wife! You owe it to me to help me! ”

James’s eyes darkened with pure anger as he shoved her hands away. “What the hell does that mean?” he snapped. “What does Mia have to do with your mess?”

Kylie’s breath came out ragged, her chest heaving as anger twisted through her veins.

Her voice was hoarse but filled with venom.

“She’s behind all of this! Everything started falling apart the moment she showed up on my live stream!

From that moment, I started losing deals, endorsements—everything! It’s all because of her!”

James’s expression didn’t flicker. He stared at her as if she’d gone insane, his eyes cold and cutting.

“Mia doesn’t have that kind of power,” he said, his tone like ice.

“She doesn’t have money, influence, or even the resources to pull something like this off.

Stop blaming her for your own damn mess. ”

Kylie laughed—a sharp, bitter sound that echoed off the glass walls of the office. Her lips curled into a cruel smirk as she stepped closer, heels clicking sharply against the marble floor.

“You’re so fucking stupid, James,” she hissed, her eyes flashing with spite.

“If she didn’t have power, then why the hell was she sitting in Luxe?

Do you even know who she was with that night?

” She tilted her head, watching his reaction with malicious delight.

“Sawyer Stark—the owner of Stark Entertainment. The biggest entertainment company in the country. You think a woman with no money could sit at his table, drinking with him?”

James’s jaw tightened, the muscles flexing hard beneath his skin. His hands balled into fists at his sides, his knuckles whitening. The faint hum of the office outside was the only sound between them, broken only by Kylie’s soft, mocking laugh.

“Maybe she was just cheating on you long enough to learn how to play the game,” she continued, her tone low and venomous. “I wouldn’t be surprised. You’ve always been too blind to see what’s right in front of you—and she’s too smart to ever let it show.”

That was it. The last thread of James’s control snapped. His eyes burned like wildfire as he glared at her, his voice thunderous when he spoke. “Get her out of my sight!”

The command was so sharp that William flinched before moving instantly, circling the desk. “Miss Brown, you should leave,” he said firmly.

Kylie’s body went rigid, fury flashing across her face. “You can’t just throw me out!” she shouted, but her words were cut off as the office doors opened and two security guards stepped inside. William gave them a single nod.

The guards seized her by the arms, their grips firm. Kylie struggled violently, her nails digging into their sleeves, her hair falling wildly over her face. “Let me go! You’re all blind!” she screamed, her voice breaking as she kicked and fought against them. “James! James, look at me!”

But James didn’t move. He didn’t even glance in her direction. The heavy doors slammed shut behind her, cutting off her cries.
