Chapter Sixteen
It's dark and quiet at the university now all the students have gone home. I find myself walking alone a lot at night, thinking about you. It’s going to be a dark Christmas and so lonely with you gone. Even though I haven’t managed to see you too much recently, the small moments I get just in the same room as you, they keep me going. Now I don’t even have those.
I’ve found myself someone to keep me company for the holidays, but don’t worry Paige. She’s just temporary. She doesn’t have your silky blonde hair. Her eyes are blue, but they’re a different shade to yours, and the fear in them just isn’t the same when I haven’t had the time to really work my way into her mind, her nightmares. Am I in yours yet, Paige?
I made her wear a blonde wig last night. Sprayed her with that perfume you like to wear. I even washed her hair and the wig with your shampoo, but it still didn’t get close to the real you. I managed to fuck her once I’d dressed her in your clothes, but she went quiet on me, and I don’t like that, Paige. I like it when they scream. I got angry, and now her blood is on your clothes, messing them up. I’ll need some more. I need to think of a way to get more, to get closer to you again.
After all… you’re really the only one for me, Paige. You’re the one I really want.
