CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

ECHO

H er eyes went wide as she looked at Daddy. Had she really just said that?

“I’m sorry, Daddy,” she rushed out. “I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have yelled, and I shouldn’t have cursed at you. I just, you weren’t letting me speak, and I wanted to speak!”

Guilt formed in a heavy ball, weighing her down. She shouldn’t have yelled, but she had to. She shouldn't have cursed—Daddy didn’t give her a choice, though. He kept talking over her, not allowing her to get a single sentence in.

“You shouldn’t have yelled at Daddy or cursed, but I’m also at fault. I should have let you speak; you shouldn’t have interrupted me.” Daddy gave her a pointed look.

Okay, so she had done several things wrong, and she knew that. Echo didn’t like it when people interrupted her, so why was she doing it to Daddy? She should have just waited for him to finish and then given her little speech.

“The floor is all yours, Little Bit,” Daddy said.

She wiggled on the bed, nerves running through her.

“I’m sorry!” she blurted out, the guilt taking over. “I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry. Please forgive me!”

She cried as she flung herself to Daddy. He caught her, wrapping his arms tightly around her.

“Wow, Little Bit,” Daddy gentled her. “You’re okay.”

“But I’m not. My emotions are all over the place. I need to just push them down and not feel anything so I can be the person you need. I need to be more considerate and not interrupt or yell or curse at you. What would your men think of me? I need to show them that I can be strong and the best person for you so they don’t make you get rid of me,” she rushed out, needing to explain herself.

“Little Bit,” Daddy murmured. “Can you look at me?”

“Daddy,” she whispered.

“Did you listen to me?”

She thought about it and realized she had been so caught up in trying to say something that she hadn't heard a single word he’d said.

“No, Daddy,” she whispered, the guilt getting worse.

How could she have done that? So many naughty things in so little time. She needed to be better for Daddy.

“I just want you to be proud of me. I want you to know that I’m not weak and can handle anything. I want your men not to doubt that you picked the right person. I just need to be strong so none of that happens.” Tears pooled in her eyes as she looked down.

Daddy was still holding her. She wanted to push away, but at the same time, she wanted to be in Daddy’s arms.

“I don’t deserve you. You shouldn’t have me as your girl, your Little, your lover,” she choked out.

“Bullshit,” Daddy said right as she was about to push from his chest. “Bullshit.”

“W-what?” she whispered.

“Bullshit. B. U. L. L. S. H. I. T,” Daddy spelled it out. “Bullshit. I’m the one who doesn’t deserve you .”

“H-how?” she asked.

“You are too good for me. You could do so much better, but I’m a selfish bastard and claimed you a long time ago. You’re stuck with me for the rest of our lives.”

Echo blinked several times, taking in his words.

“You aren’t weak because you are having nightmares. Many of us have nightmares about things from our past. You went through something traumatic, and you are processing everything. Like I said before, I don’t care if you wake me up every five minutes from a nightmare. We are going to get through this together. There is no other way but together.” Daddy cupped her face. “I don’t want you to push your emotions down. I want you to get through them and work through this. I want to be there for you. If you want to talk to me about it, you can, or if you want to talk to a professional about it, we will find someone for you to talk to. We are going to get through this together, but you aren’t going to ignore it. That isn’t healthy.”

Tears were streaming from her as he spoke. He just knew what to say to make her believe that he was telling the truth. Because he was. Daddy had told her several times that he didn’t say things just to say them, that he actually meant them.

“But what about your men?” she whispered.

“They don’t see you as weak. Most of them are Daddies. They aren’t going to view you as weak for being Little. They don’t see you as weak for me carrying you in the clubhouse after I found you. They were concerned and kept asking about you,” Daddy gently explained. “So worried that Xavier had to keep them at bay while Doc and I were with you. They were still worried when we came out of our room. They wanted to ask how you were and how you were holding up, but they didn’t want to overwhelm you. They see you as family and want what’s best for you.”

“No,” she whispered, not believing him.

“Yes, Little Bit. I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Echo still didn’t believe that they didn’t mind?

“Little Bit, Daddy is telling the truth. If you want, we can go and see them now so you can see for yourself,” Daddy suggested.

She shook her head. She didn’t know if she was ready to face them, not after everything happened. They had witnessed more than she wanted them to.

“You’re okay,” Daddy whispered, running his hands up and down her back. “Everything is going to be okay. Daddy is here, and we are going to make it through together. We are a team.”

They were a team. Something she hadn’t had in forever.

“I know it’s not going to be fixed right now, you thinking you need to always be strong and push everything to the back burner, but we are going to work on this. We are going to get through this together.”

“Are you sure?” she whispered, looking at him unsure. “Maybe I can find a spare room to sleep in until I stop having nightmares. Or I can stay at the house alone until that happens.”

“Nope, that’s not going to happen.”

“Wait! Oh, my goodness.”

“What’s wrong, Little Bit?”

“They heard me waking up from the nightmares. Oh, my goodness. I need to leave. I can’t show my face again,” she rambled, pushing against Daddy’s chest.

But he held her close to him, not letting her get away.

“Calm down, Little bit.”

“How can I be calm when they’ve heard me wake up in the night with nightmares? How inconsiderate of me. I should have realized sooner and asked Doc for the pills. I should have moved out.”

“Hush.”

She glared at Daddy. “You can’t tell me to just hush.”

“I just did.”

“Hush,” she replied back.

“You can’t tell Daddy to hush. That will land you in the corner.”

Her mouth fell open. “Not fair!”

“Life isn’t always fair.”

Echo pushed her lip out and looked away.

“And about them hearing you wake up from your nightmares, they don’t care. If anything, they are worried about you and want to make sure you are okay. They aren’t mad, I promise. They’ve actually come to me and asked how you are, wanting to know if they can do anything to help.”

She shook her head. “No.”

“Yes, Little Bit. I promise I’m not telling you something untrue. I’ve had several of them message me, come to me when you were down for a nap, or I was away. I promise there is nothing but worry, love, and care from them. They don’t see you as weak. They see you as someone strong because you went through something horrific and are dealing with it. Not a lot of people can say that.”

Echo didn’t know how to respond. She figured they saw her as weak, someone who needed to be away from the club and Daddy.

“I love you,” he whispered. “I love you, and nothing is going to change that.”

“I love you, too.”

Daddy wrapped his arms around her again, pulling her into his chest, which made her relax. She wanted to always be close to him, to feel his skin against hers.

Echo pushed her face into his neck and calmed down further. She could be in this position forever, feeling warm and safe.

“What if I got an adult baby carrier to hold you like this while I do things,” Daddy mumbled.

“You wouldn’t.”

“I’m considering it. I like having you close to keep an eye on you. I know you like being this close to me as well,” Daddy gently said. “I’m going to look into it.”

“No,” she whispered. “What would they think?”

“Who cares what they think? I for sure don’t, and you shouldn’t either. If it helps you, we are going to do it. If you love it, we are going to do it.”

“You can’t always just do things for me.”

“Why not? No one is going to say anything to me or you. If they do, they’ll have me and all the other Springfield Sinners to go through.”

Echo slightly shook her head and pushed her arms in between their bodies, getting comfortable. Daddy was holding her up, keeping her close to his chest.

“Such a good girl,” he whispered.

“I’m sorry,” she mumbled.

“For what?”

“For lying, cursing, and yelling at you. For keeping things from you.”

She could still feel the guilt, weight sitting at the bottom of her stomach. A constant reminder that she had been naughty.

“It’s okay,” Daddy said.

“But it’s not.” She pushed against his chest and looked directly at him. “It’s not okay.”

“Little Bit.”

“I’ve got this heavy ball of guilt holding me down. I need you to get rid of it, please,” she practically begged.

Daddy searched her face. “Are you sure?”

“Please, Daddy. I need it gone. I don’t think I can function with it.”

Which wasn’t untrue. She had been in his arms, and with every passing second, she felt like it was getting bigger and bigger. There was no way it was going to go away on its own.

“Corner time and lines.”

“No spanking?” she asked.

She couldn’t help it. While the spanking was effective, she also wanted the arousal.

“Not this time. I think corner time and lines will do the trick.”

Daddy let go of her and stood tall.

“Daddy is going to go get a washcloth to clean your face. Can you get out of your pants and underwear for me? Corner time is always without pants and underwear.”

It wasn’t a question but a command. He wanted her out of her pants and underwear by the time he got back. She could do that, right? It was a simple task.

But as Daddy walked into the bathroom and she started to pull her pants and underwear down, her feet tangled in the fabric. Squealing, she tried to let go and catch herself but wasn’t fast enough. Echo landed on her shoulder and face, calling out in pain.

“Echo?” Daddy rushed into the room.

She was sobbing, tears cascading down her face as her shoulder and face throbbed.

“Little Bit.” Daddy picked her up off the floor. “Daddy’s here. I’m right here. You’re okay.”

But she was anything but okay. She bawled as Daddy rocked her back and forth in his arms.

“I’ve got you,” he whispered. “Daddy is right here. Can you tell me what happened?”

Echo couldn’t get a word out as she continued to cry into his arms. Her head and shoulder still throbbed, making her whimper.

“Did you fall when you were trying to take off your pants and underwear?” Daddy asked.

She nodded and buried her head into his chest. His hand cupped the back of her neck as he held her even closer.

“Oh, Little Bit. Daddy is sorry. I should have helped you take them off, but I didn’t. Daddy is so sorry. That won’t happen again.”

He held her as she calmed down a little, rocking ever so slightly as he rubbed her back.

“Daddy is right here. I’m not going anywhere,” he whispered. “Shhh, you’re okay.”

She sniffled several times and pulled away. Her nose was running, and she didn’t want to get any on Daddy’s shirt. That would be icky.

“Let’s go clean your face real quick before we get to the punishment.”

Daddy walked to the bathroom with her in his arms and gently placed her on the counter. She hissed as the cold touched her warm skin. Echo had completely forgotten she was bare. Her cheeks warmed up, and she looked down at her lap. Daddy held onto her while her pants and underwear were around her ankles.

“Don’t be embarrassed,” Daddy said as he took them off. “You’re okay.”

“But—”

“No buts unless it’s your cute butt.” Daddy smiled. “You’re okay.”

She took a deep breath and slowly let it out. It was just Daddy. She didn’t have to be worried about her bottom half being naked as he held her.

“Now, let’s get you sorted,” Daddy announced as he wet a washcloth. “It’s warm.”

Daddy slowly started to wipe her face, making sure to be gentle with every stroke.

“Such a good girl,” he praised. “Blow.”

Her nose wrinkled, and she pulled her head back. She didn’t want Daddy to blow her nose.

“Echo, blow,” Daddy commanded.

“That’s icky,” she whined.

“It’s not icky. Be a good girl and blow for Daddy.”

Sighing, she nodded. Daddy placed the warm cloth over her nose, gently pinching it as she blew.

“Such a good girl.” He threw the washcloth in the dirty hamper. “Ready for your punishment?”

“No,” she mumbled.

Who was ever ready for a punishment? Echo knew she had asked for it, but that didn’t mean she was ready. If she had it her way, she would never be punished, but she didn’t want the guilt in her stomach.

“Come on.” Daddy helped her down from the counter and grabbed her hand.

He led her to their room again, walking to a corner.

“You’re going to stand in this corner until I tell you to turn around and come to me. Legs spread, bottom pushed out, nose in the corner. No movements or sounds unless it’s your safeword. Understand?”

“What if I need to pee?” she asked.

“Do you need to go to the bathroom?”

She shook her head.

“Then, why ask?”

“I don’t know how long I’m going to be in the corner. What if I need to pee really badly?”

“Then you tell Daddy but no talking otherwise.”

She nodded and got into position. Everything was exposed, and it took everything in her not to push her shirt down to cover her bottom. Daddy wouldn’t like that.

“I want you to think about what you did and why it was naughty,” Daddy said.

“Are you going to leave?” she asked, panic clawing its way into her chest.

“No, Little Bit. Daddy is going to be right here on the bed. I can see you, don’t worry.”

Echo took a deep breath and slowly let it out. She didn’t know why it mattered whether Daddy was in the room or not, but all she knew was she didn’t want to be alone. The thought of Daddy leaving her in the room by herself put her on edge.

“You're okay,” Daddy gently said. “Time starts now.”

Time passed. Echo didn’t know how much, but some time had as she thought about what had happened. She knew she shouldn’t have cursed at Daddy, yelled, interrupted him, and been rude. It was wrong of her.

But corner time sucked. It was so boring, and she was so exposed. Sometimes, she felt like a little breeze swept through the room, hitting her pussy, and sending pleasure through her body. But that wouldn’t make sense. The door and windows were shut.

“Time’s up; you can come to Daddy.”

Echo spun around.

“Walk!” Daddy corrected before she could start running to him.

She sighed and walked to Daddy. She wanted to be in his arms, not slowly walking to him.

“Good girl!” Daddy brought her into his arms. “Let's get some pants on you, and then we’re going to my office so you can write lines while I work.”

“Can’t I do them here?” she whined.

Smack .

She yelled and looked at him, her eyebrows raised.

“What was that for?”

“Whining. Daddy said you are going to write lines in my office. No arguments. Now, let's get some pants on you and head down.”
