Ikept an eye on Hawk until he left The Fuzzy Peach. He even had the nerve to give me a nod on his way out as though he isn’t trying to fucking frame me. Piece of shit.
I have no idea where his little sidekick disappeared to but I assume he left out the back. If I’d gotten the shit beaten out of me, I wouldn’t want to show my face either.
Hammer is on his way here. Out of all the brothers in the club, aside from Snake, he’s the one I trust the most. I’m not willing to take any chances with Hawk and Shawn. Desperate men will do anything to get what they want.
“What’s up, man? You said it was urgent.”
Hammer takes a seat beside me. I’m sitting at a table in the back corner. No strippers. No waitresses.
“I know who has the Russian princess.” He arches a brow at me. “Listen, I know I’m on thin ice with the club. Snake has already warned me, but I’m doing the fucking best I can and I need someone I can trust.”
Hammer frowns. “You might be a loose cannon, Widow, but I’ve always had your back. Voting you out has never crossed my mind. Believe that.”
“Hawk…fuck…he’s plotting against Snake. He wants the title. The club. And he’s not going to stop until he gets it.” I fill him in on the conversation I overheard. “He wants me to take the fucking fall for it.”
“You hear anything about where he’s keeping her?”
“No. I swear, if this shit blows back on the club…on me…I’ll fucking kill him. He may be Snake’s son, but he’s a dead man if he fucks me over.”
“I get it and sure as shit don’t blame you. Let’s go talk to Snake and figure out how we want to handle this. Hawk has to be stopped.”
We head outside to our bikes and my phone buzzes in my pocket. Hawk. Speak of the fucking devil.
“Hawk wants me to meet him in a couple of hours. You go fill Snake in. I’m going to talk to Templar about all this shit, then I’ll meet Hawk and see if I can get any more intel on the princess.”
Templar is Snake’s half brother and the majority of the time, he’s the only one who can get to him. He’s going to need that in order to accept that his own son is betraying him.
My phone buzzes again. Cleo. I’m tempted to answer but I need to handle club business first. I send a text to Templar, knowing Snake is going to need him. I’ll call Cleo after I’m done with this bullshit.
Hammer assures me he’s going to get Snake and warns me not to kill Hawk…yet. I don’t make any promises. If I’m riding into an ambush, I’ll do what I have to.
