Epilogue

EPILOGUE

A LONG TIME LATER…

“Whew, God said he was going to bless you double time. Look at this handsome little man and this beautiful little girl.” Tae cooed over her six-month-old grandchildren.

These days, she was more out of it than in it, but that didn’t stop her from loving her pretty girl. When Taelyn was six months pregnant, Tae decided that she would claim Pretty Girl as her daughter. That was that. That brought comfort to Taelyn, because in both minds, she was her mother’s daughter.

The relationship between Taelyn and Tana deepened in bounds during Taelyn’s pregnancy and wedding planning. The sisters had something in common that they could bond over outside of just being the daughters of Trell and Tae Smith. Now, they were both mothers and wives. The absence of her friendship was not felt to the extent that Taelyn thought it would be further cementing that Blair and her were not as close as they would have liked to think they were.

Taelyn found out several months after her birthday party that Roderick had left his wife to be with Blair. Through social media posts, Blair taunted her stepsister about her failed relationship. Fast-forward to not even three months after Roderick left his wife to be with Blair, he cheated on her with a colleague of hers. Karma was a whole bitch. Blair tried to circle the block on her and Taelyn’s friendship, but Taelyn wasn’t having it. That left Blair to watch the bliss of her former friend from the sidelines of social media.

At eight months pregnant, Draco and Taelyn had a small, intimate wedding that rivaled million-dollar ones. Tae’s Designs and Event Firm worked their asses off to pull the wedding off in five months’ time. Taelyn was self-conscious about being pregnant in her wedding gown. That was an easy fix with a custom-made gown designed by Femi Mercer. With all the dick that Draco dropped off in her daily, there was no lack of confidence when it came to his love for her.

On the day of Draco and Taelyn’s wedding, Tae was in and out for most of the day. It didn’t bother Taelyn as much as she thought it would, because at the end of the day, her mother was there. If Taelyn learned anything from her father-in-law, she learned that at the end of the day, the day will end. Enjoy the day while you have it.

An amazing thing happened at the wedding. Neziah brought a date and introduced her to everyone as his girlfriend. Apparently, they’d been dating for a while, which shocked Taelyn. She thought her brother told her everything, but that was a good secret. She wouldn’t hold it against him. Tsia was a beautiful woman, and Taelyn was just happy that her brother found someone to make him happy.

When the couple found out they were having twins, the family was ecstatic. When they found out it was a boy and a girl, it was icing on an already loving cake. The day that Draco Cartrell and Zoie Lynn McMasters was born was the day Taelyn knew her life was complete. Draco was the best father she could ever hope for.

Shortly after their engagement, Taelyn moved completely into Draco’s house. She went back and forth about it, but her father ironically was the one who encouraged her to do so.

“You done told that man that you’re going to be his wife and you’re pregnant. Don’t care what anyone else thinks now.”

“I love them so much, Mama,” Taelyn admitted to her mother. She never knew a love like being a mother.

There was so much support and care around her and Draco that it was almost unbelievable. Taelyn still attended therapy twice a month, which had helped with her postpartum. As beautiful as motherhood was, there were some ugly parts that people didn’t tell you. Mama Wanda was a big help during her pregnancy and after. Dr. Prentiss released Taelyn for work at Christianson Enterprises shortly after she gave birth to the twins. As much as Taelyn wanted to get back active with the organization, now that she had her husband and children, she was in no rush. She would go back only when she was ready.

“Being a mother is the most beautiful reward, Pretty Girl. Trust me. After you’ve carried and pushed, you want your reward.” Tae leaned into Taelyn. “Girl, thank God that he gave you pretty babies. I’ve seen some ugly babies in my day.”

Taelyn gasped, then covered her mouth before she guffawed. “Mama! That is rude as hell.”

“Just because it’s rude doesn’t make it untrue.”

The babies were playing in their bouncer on the theater floor. Much of Tae’s time was still spent in the theater. Now, instead of movies on the big screen, it was children’s educational shows when the babies were over. Draco appreciated that.

For now, Draco primarily worked from home to make sure he could be a full support for his wife. Yes, his parents were there to help, but he lived from the mindset of they didn’t fuck for the twins. He fucked his wife good for their twins.

“What y’all in here doing with my babies?”

At their daddy’s voice, the twins’ limbs flailed with excitement. When he came into view, they tried to climb out of their bouncers. They loved their daddy. He went over and released them from the bouncer straps before he scooped them both up. He kissed their cheeks before he bent down to give his wife a kiss on the lips and mother-in-law a kiss on the cheek.

“What’s going on, Mama?”

“Nothing much, son. In here with these beautiful babies that you and my pretty girl made. Y’all make some pretty babies. Make sure y’all give me more grandbabies.”

Taelyn and Draco tittered because they both knew that she was serious.

“Trust me, Mama, I plan to. I’m going to give her body time to relax before I put another one in there.”

They agreed they didn’t want to have their children no more than two years apart. They hoped for two more. Taelyn was proactive about getting on birth control until they were ready for the next one. The way he was in Lilly Milly, she would have been pregnant at her nine-week appointment. Her twins were born via cesarean, so they only waited three weeks to start having vaginal intercourse again.

“Well, let me help y’all along. Trell!” Tae yelled for her husband who was never too far.

He came into the room with a mug before he saw his grandbabies in Draco’s arms. Zoie was granddaddy’s baby, and he knew it. The second she saw her granddaddy, it was forget Daddy. She reached out for him.

“Come here, lil Zo. Tae, what you in here yelling about?”

“Come keep these babies with me. They’re going on a date tonight.”

She made that proclamation, and no one would tell her different. Trell definitely would not be the one to tell his wife any different. He didn’t want smoke with her in any of her minds.

“Alright, hand my grandson to my wife, and y’all get the hell on.”

Draco guffawed. “Damn, y’all are just going to take our kids and kick us out? Well, I’m not going to argue.” He handed Lil Draco over to Mama Tae. “Come on, baby.”

Draco and Taelyn walked hand in hand out of the theater then the house. They were going to have a date night alright. They knew exactly where they would have their date.

Draco’s body eclipsed Taelyn’s body as his dick stroked her middle ever so smoothly. It was a seventh wonder how he could make love and fuck her at the same time. He was loving yet forceful, domineering yet submissive to her needs. He was egotistical in his sexual skills yet humble enough to be a teacher and student for the desires of his wife. Dr. Carlton Draco McMasters was a walking conglomerate of pure excellence in one man.

“Right there, baby! Right there.”

Taelyn’s moans were low and sensual. This was her kind of date night. When they walked into their house in Washington Circle, they tried to have a proper date night by watching a movie together. Right now, the movie watched them make fucking love on the floor. Pun intended.

Draco’s face was in the crook of his wife’s neck as he lost himself in the feeling of her wrapped around him—her pussy around his dick, legs around his waist, and arms around his neck. While she loved it right there, he loved it right here.

“I love you, Mrs. McMasters. Do you hear me?”

He slowly stroked in and out of her in a set of angles that he perfected to make sure Taelyn reached maximum satisfaction.

“You’re mine forever. Do you understand?”

Taelyn never imagined that three simple words would be able to render her undone. Before Draco, the question ‘Do you understand?’ felt like a challenge of comprehension. If it had come from any other person, it would have been for Taelyn. She was not stupid. She didn’t need anyone asking her if she understood. The first time Dr. McMasters asked her if she understood, she accepted it as a sort of sexual taunt that she wanted to answer to. And answer she did.

“Yes, Dr. McMasters. I understand. I love you too.”

Taelyn clenched her neck to force her husband to move his face. When he did, she cupped his face with her hands.

“You are mine forever. Do you understand?”

The handsome smile that surfaced on his face warmed Taelyn’s middle. Just as much as she loved to hear those three words from her husband, Draco loved to hear them from his wife. To him, it was an acceptance of the complex person that he was.

There was a subset of people who believed what was understood didn’t need to be explained. To Draco, that subset was foolish. Complete understanding always needed to be confirmed and often explained. Where there is a resistance of explanation, then there is often a lack of understanding. The McMasters’ goal as a couple was to have complete understanding of each other.

Draco got lost in his wife’s eyes as he thought about his life going forward with her. This was the woman he had been scared to pray for because he couldn’t fathom that God had made someone as perfect as her. Now, he knew that God not only created a perfect her, but he also knew she was created just for him. He would always follow the advice that was given on his wedding day by his father.

“Son, it is your job to live in the perfection of your wife. The imperfections, you give it to God and let him handle them.”

Draco would do just that. With the confidence of a man that understood the blessing that was given to him, he looked into his wife’s eyes with love mixed with lust. Only two words were needed.

“I understand.”
