The Nothing and the Realms
At first, there was Nothing. Within that Great Darkness, the first gods, the Creators, coalesced into being. But they grew tired of empty immortality, so they set spark to the Nothing to make something of their own.
They built Terra of wood and water, of stone and fire. They built People in their image and gave them beauty and plenty and immortality.
The People were curious and longed to know more of their world. But they were as impatient as their Creators. More, they demanded. Always more. Greed turned to violence, and the People turned against their Creators. The First War splintered the world apart.

Oblivion, where body and soul became Nothingness again.
The Creators set their children, the new gods, to guide and protect the mortals and keep the realms always in balance, lest they splinter again. But mortals and gods were born into conflict, and toward conflict they inevitably move. And so the realms move ever closer to the tipping point…
