Colter

C olter walked into the bar, holding the box of rambunctious kittens and their mom. They had brought them to work every day over the past weeks as they got the bar ready to open. It felt as though they had one set back after another, and didn’t know how he would have gotten to this point without Hugh. He had become so much more than ’s bar manager. Hugh had become his partner, in work and life, but telling him that wasn’t something was ready to do.

Tonight was the big night—the bar was finally opening its doors to the public and from the chatter around town, the locals were very excited about it. They were going to be serving a limited menu until they could get everything down. That part was Hugh’s idea. He might not have ever managed a bar, but he was a natural at it.

“I’m going to put the kittens in the office, and I’ll meet you up at the bar,” he said to Hugh.

“Wait, I haven’t seen them all day,” Hugh shouted after him. He had gone in early to set up a few things and he told to get some extra shuteye for the big night. He said that the owner of the bar needed to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, which made laugh. Hugh was always using sayings that were probably a million years old, but they always made him laugh.

sat the box on the bar top and watched as Hugh took each kitten out to kiss and love on. The mama cat was still a bit leery of them, but she was starting to come around. She loved to be scratched and purred every time Hugh rubbed under her chin.

“Thanks,” Hugh said. “I needed my kitten fix.” He put the last kitten back in the box and handed it back to . “I’m sure glad that the shelter was full. I would have missed the little guys.” didn’t want to admit it, but a part of him was glad that the shelter was full too. He told Hugh that he wasn’t a cat lover, but the kittens were surely changing that for him.

“I think that Melvin is started to get pissed that he can’t come to work with us,” said.

“Yeah, I’ve noticed that he’s been in a mood lately,” Hugh admitted. “Maybe we could bring him in some time and see how he does.”

“We’ll see,” said. “The last think that I need is for his judgey ass to get out of my office and mingle with the customers.”

Hugh chuckled, “That would be a sight to see. I think he’d make some friends here.”

“Not going to happen,” grumbled. “I’m going to take these guys back to the office and then, I think we can officially open the doors.” He looked out the front window at the growing crowd. He hadn’t expected many people to show, but he was pleasantly surprised.

Hugh took his hand into his own and squeezed it. “We’ve got this, babe,” he said.

“I know,” said, “I’m just a bit nervous,” he admitted.

“Well, that’s why you have me,” Hugh said. “I’m more than just an awesome boyfriend, I’m your manager. So, let me manage the bar and you just enjoy tonight.”

looked Hugh over and smiled. “So, you’re my boyfriend now?” He was pushing Hugh for more than he might want to give, but he didn’t care. He was already thinking of Hugh as more than just a roommate or even a hookup. When he agreed to fall into bed with him, began seeing him as his boyfriend.

“Is that okay?” Hugh asked.

“It’s more than okay,” admitted. “I think of you the same way.”

“Good, so you won’t mind me introducing you as my boyfriend to the locals when or even if they ask?” Hugh questioned.

“I’d like that,” agreed. “Now, let me drop these babies in the office and I’ll be right back.” He leaned in to kiss Hugh and for the first time, he didn’t care who was watching them. They might be criticized for how they live their lives, but just didn’t care. Sometimes, fitting in wasn’t as important as being happy—and Hugh made him happy.

Two months had passed and the two of them had settled into an easy routine. They had decided to keep the kittens along with the mama cat. He knew that Hugh had gotten attached to them all, and when he started naming them, knew that he had lost the battle to find them all homes. Hell, they had even started letting the kittens sleep with them and Melvin sometimes joined them. He often wondered what his grandfather would have thought about him not only becoming domesticated but also a cat dad. was sure that he’d be happy that he kept his promise to take care of Melvin. That cat meant a lot to his grandpa, and now, he was one of the family—along with a clowder of kittens and their mom. His grandfather was probably laughing his head off wherever he was, and that thought made smile.

“I’m ready to go into the bar,” Hugh said. “How about you?”

“Ready,” agreed. He looked Hugh over and realized that his guy had just taken a shower. His dark hair was still wet, and all wanted to do was mess him up again.

“You keep looking at me like that, we won’t make it into the bar, babe,” Hugh warned.

“So, we can open a little late tonight,” he said. He walked across the kitchen, sure that he looked like a lion stalking its prey.

“No, we can’t,” Hugh said. “The wait staff don’t have keys to the bar and if we don’t show up, they’ll take off. Then, when we do open, we’ll be the ones waiting and bussing tables.”

“Shit, why do you have to be so practical about everything?” asked. That was one of the main things he loved about Hugh. The guy was usually on top of every situation. It was what made them complete opposites. Sure, everyone thought that he had his shit together, but that was all just smoke and mirrors. He hired Hugh as the bar’s manager because there was no way that he could manage the place. Their alcohol orders alone would drive him crazy. Hugh ran that place like clockwork with trucks coming in and out of the alleyway, delivering everything that the bar needed to stay afloat weekly.

“Because one of us has to be, babe,” Hugh said. He walked past and slapped his ass. “Get that fine booty in the car. We’re going to the bar, and then, if you’re lucky, we can fool around in your office during our break.” He liked the way Hugh flirted with him, even when he seemed to be all business.

“Now, you’re talking,” said, practically running out to the car. He was eager to get to the bar because he planned on taking an early break with Hugh tonight. He just hoped like hell that they weren’t too busy because spending quality time with his guy was now his priority.

They had been at work for almost five hours without a break in sight. was frustrated, but Hugh seemed to all but forget his promise about hot sex in ’s office. They had been extremely busy, which would usually consider a good thing, but tonight, all he wanted to do was bend Hugh over his desk and slip balls deep into his sweet ass.

“You seem tense,” Hugh said, looking him up and down as he walked into his office. “I think that I can help with that.” He walked around ’s desk and waited for whatever order was going to give him. He loved that Hugh let him take control every time they were together. His guy was perfect for him, not that he was about to admit that to him. He had a feeling that kind of truth would scare Hugh off, and he didn’t want that.

“Get naked,” growled. He had been waiting all night to get Hugh alone and naked in his office.

“So bossy,” Hugh teased, tugging his shirt over his head.

“You like me bossy,” whispered into his ear as he kissed his way down Hugh’s neck. The moan that escaped his guy told him that he was on the right path. And when hit his knees in front of Hugh as he let his cock spring free from his jeans, he knew that his guy wouldn’t last long—especially with what he had planned for him.

“So, fucking hot,” Hugh praised, running his hands through ’s already unruly hair. “I like it when you kneel in front of me, babe,” he teased.

shot him a look and smirked, “Don’t get too used to it. I’m not a get on my knees kind of guy usually. But I’ve been dying to taste you all night.” He wrapped his hand around Hugh’s shaft, eliciting another moan from him as he pumped him in and out of his palm.

“That feels so good,” Hugh whispered, thrusting his cock at , seeming to want more from him. “I need more,” Hugh demanded.

chuckled and sucked his guy into his mouth, loving the way that he shoved himself to the back of his throat. Hugh might be submissive to , but he wasn’t afraid to take what he wanted or needed from him.

He let Hugh use his mouth to get off and when he found his release, coming in hot ropes down ’s throat, he collapsed onto the leather chair behind the desk. “That was incredible, babe,” Hugh praised.

“Good, my turn,” growled, standing from the floor. He quickly stripped out of his clothes as Hugh watched him. “I want your ass,” he demanded. He pulled his desk drawer open and grabbed a condom, quickly suiting up.

“You really are impatient tonight,” Hugh said. pulled Hugh up from the office chair and bent him over his desk. He knew that Hugh liked sex a little rough, and he planned on giving him just that tonight.

grabbed the lube from his desk and rubbed it over his cock and then onto Hugh’s ass, “This is going to be quick and hard,” he growled as he slammed into Hugh. He moaned out and grabbed the sides of the desk, as though holding on for dear life, and smiled. “You good?” he asked.

“Yeah, don’t stop,” Hugh begged.

“Don’t plan on it,” admitted. He pulled free from Hugh’s ass and slammed back in, over and over until they were both breathless and when he knew that he was going to lose it, he slammed back into Hugh’s ass one last time as he shouted out his name. was pretty sure that the entire bar would know what they had been doing in his office, but he didn’t give a fuck. Hugh was his and if he wanted to take what was his in the back office, that was his choice.

“Fucking perfect,” said as he pulled free from Hugh and discarded the condom. “I’ll be right back.” He ran to the joining bathroom in his office, grabbed a washcloth, wetted it with warm water, and went back to clean Hugh up. There was something about taking care of his guy that just felt right, and he knew that Hugh felt the same way.

“The entire bar probably heard us,” Hugh said. He stood and kissed on his way to the bathroom.

“I don’t give a fuck what they heard,” admitted. “Where are you going?”

“To take a quick shower and then, I’m going back out to work. You want to join me?” he asked. Putting a full bathroom in his office was the best decision that had ever made—well, except for asking Hugh to move in with him. Having Hugh in his life now wasn’t something that he planned on ever giving up. Hugh was a part of him now, and for better or worse, he planned on making him his forever.
