In spite of his consigliere and lover always answering positively to this question, Brian has his doubts; killing, even if it’s done to protect the helpless and innocent, is still wrong, he mentally replied. A few days of vacation at the family cabin seems a good way of forgetting about his moral dilemma and enjoy some peace and relaxation.
That’s until his father, Anthony, decides to entrust Brian with a secret, adding to the already heavy burden his son is carrying on his shoulders: he has an illegitimate child, the result of an affair he had during a period of crisis in his marriage. He also asks Brian to find the woman and the child, to which the librarian agrees, in spite of having only bits and pieces of information.
