T roy followed Jessie through the woods, a six-pack of beer swinging in his hand, his bell bottom jeans swishing, then over the grass and onto the golf course green, taking in the cool, humid evening air. Puffy clouds meandered over the moon, making the moonlight dim and lighten again. He snatched Jessie’s hand, mid-stride.
Jessie, holding the boom box, turned to him and grinned. “Last time we were here, things were a little different.” He sat on the short grass of the green, not far from the hole, the pole poking up from the ground.
Troy dropped in next to him, crossing his legs. “Yeah, I’d say so.” He scanned the area. No one, as far he could see. He bent to him, placed his hand on his cheek, then kissed him deeply, swiping his tongue inside his mouth. He pulled away. “Just wanted to do that.” He smiled.
“You didn’t get enough out on the lake today?” Jessie snickered and slid his baggie of joints out of his front pocket.
Troy put his hand over Jessie’s. “What do you say we pass on the weed tonight and just have a few beers?” There was only so much pot he could smoke in a day, and he’d already had his fill. Why was Jessie smoking so much?
Jessie furrowed his brow. “Yeah, sure, man.” He tucked the baggie into his pocket, then opened a beer can and handed it to him. “You got something serious to say to me again?” He opened a beer for himself, studying him.
Troy chuckled. “No, I’ve just had enough already. I don’t want to fry my brain too badly this summer. I still have a year of college to finish.” He sipped his beer.
Jessie snickered. “Sure.” He hit the button on the boom box, and Journey’s Wheel in the Sky started up.
Troy thought over the day, the gay skin mag, the blowjobs, the lazy day on the beach and lying together in the sand. “It was a good day, man.” He should be happy, but Jessie’s answer to his question about the bookstore stuck with him. His gut churned. “So, have you thought any more about what you want to do?”
Jessie freed a long exhale and stared down the golf course. “I don’t know. If I go back to New York and school, then my dad will think I’m going to run his company and I’ll have to take classes with my ex.” He shook his head. “If I just go back to New York, I think I’ll be on my own. My dad won’t be paying my housing.”
Troy ran his finger in a circle over the short blades of grass, thinning his lips. “So, you’ve never had a job, have you?”
Jessie laughed. “No, never needed one. My dad didn’t want me working when I was in school. I was supposed to be studying.” He cocked his head, then gulped his beer.
“If you went to New York and didn’t go back to school right away, then you’d have to find a job.” He needed to make Jessie see that he should stay in Minnesota, stay with him . He watched him.
“I could work. There are plenty of jobs there.” Jessie chuckled and drank some beer “I’m sure I could get a job at one of the gay bars.”
Pain pierced Troy’s chest. “No, you can’t.” Did I say that out loud?
Jessie’s gaze darted to him. “Why not?”
Troy fisted his hand. The thought of Jessie leaving him here to work in a gay bar, around a bunch of gay men who would be interested in him, was intolerable. Could he tell him that? He didn’t know how he felt yet. He glared at his fist and clenched his jaw.
“Troy?” Jessie placed his hand on Troy’s thigh. “What are you thinking? You look angry. Are you mad at me?”
Troy studied his face. Can I tell him how I’m feeling? What if he doesn’t feel the same way? But he told me he liked me. Then why does he keep talking about leaving? “I don’t... I don’t want you to go back to New York, unless you want to finish college there.” He held his breath.
“Yeah, okay. So, guess I have some things to think about.” Jessie pursed his lips.
“You aren’t considering San Francisco anymore, right?” Troy’s chest ached. What was there to think about? I’m here . Why doesn’t he want to stay here with me?
Jessie gnawed on his lip. “Well, I don’t know. I’ve never been there, so it might be cool to at least see it.”
“You mean like go on a vacation there?” Troy took a sip of beer. Maybe they could go there together. How cool would that be?
“Yeah, maybe I could talk my dad into letting me go out there. I could tell him I want to see what the universities have to offer.” Jessie lowered his brows. “Except I don’t have a good reason for wanting to switch from New York to San Francisco.” He fingered the top of his beer can.
“What if you and I drove out there and spent a few days?” Troy lifted his brows. Would he go for that? “I could probably get some more time off from work.”
“No, I don’t want you to have to do that. You’re already taking the whole month off. You have rent to pay now, right?” Jessie eyed him. “Why are we even talking about this?”
Because I don’t want you to leave me. Troy drew a deep breath. The words were right there, but he couldn’t say them. “What would happen if you stayed at home until you knew what you wanted to do?” His heart hammered in his chest.
Jessie huffed. “If I stay here, the longer I stay here, the more I risk my parents finding out about my sexuality. I’d be living in fear the whole time.”
“Are you living in fear now?” Troy creased his forehead. He’d said last summer he was afraid of someone finding out.
“Well, yeah. I’m constantly watching myself. I can’t be myself here.” Jessie searched around them. “Why do you think I’m getting high all the time? It’s the only way I can relax.” He gulped some beer.
“Oh... I guess I should have let you smoke when we got here, then.” Troy twisted his mouth. He had the answer to that question now. But didn’t Jessie feel like he could at least be himself around him ?
“You mind?” Jessie slid the baggie out of his jean’s pocket.
“No, go ahead.” An ache gnawed at Troy’s heart. He didn’t like not knowing what Jessie was going to do, but he needed to drop it for now.
Jessie put a joint between his lips, lit it and sucked a deep draw, held it, then blew a stream of smoke from his mouth.
“Better?” Troy forced a tight grin.
“Yeah.” Jessie took another toke, his eyes narrowing.
Troy thought back on Jessie’s ex. “So, I guess you were in love with that dude, your professor?”
Jessie finished another hit, then pinched out the joint and stuffed it away. “Yeah, I guess.”
Troy’s heart skipped a beat. “So, you weren’t?” He searched his face.
“I thought I was, but you know what you said about Nancy? I think it was more like that when I look back at it now.” Jessie came close to his ear. “By the way, you have a way better tongue.” He smirked. “Damn...” He adjusted his jeans.
Troy widened his eyes, then lifted a corner of his mouth. “You can have some more of that.” His dropped his gaze to Jessie’s mouth. He leaned in, skimming his lips over Jessie’s, wrapping his hand around the back of his head.
Jessie freed a soft moan.
Troy pressed his lips to Jessie’s, plunging his tongue inside, dancing it over Jessie’s.
Jessie drew away, breathing heavily. “You’re making me horny again.”
Desire shot up Troy’s spine. “Yeah, but we can’t do anything here.”
“We should start using the van at night after everyone goes to bed.” Jessie released a soft giggle.
“Damn, that’s a great idea. How are we going to sneak out with our brothers and sisters in the bedroom?” Troy placed another deep kiss over his lips.
“Maybe we stay out until after they go to sleep and use it before we go inside?” Jessie rested his head on Troy’s shoulder, nuzzling his neck.
Troy hooked an arm around Jessie’s back, kissing his cheek. “What time does your family go to sleep?”
“My parents are in bed by eleven. Nate stays up until... damn, Nate.” Jessie straightened. “That kid is driving me nuts. He’d probably wait up for me and be watching for me to come home.”
“Donna said he’s worried about you.” Troy lifted his brows. “Maybe if you’d talk to him a little, let him know you’re okay, then he’d stop worrying.”
“What am I supposed to say? I can’t tell him the truth.” Jessie scoffed and sipped his beer.
“Make something up.” Troy kissed his lips, thrusting his tongue inside, then pulled away. He couldn’t stop kissing him. But he probably should before someone saw them. “The sooner you do that, the sooner we can use the van.”
“I’ll think of something.” Jessie gazed into his eyes. “We’re definitely going to start doing that.”
“Okay. Pretty much everyone in my house is in bed by eleven. Though sometimes Donna stays out later and then my mom waits up for her. But I’ll know if the lights in the main room are off, then she’s home and everyone is in bed.” Troy smirked. Good thing his family was so damn predictable.
The next day, Troy sat at the iron porch chair at his family cabin, looking out across the top of the condominium buildings at the shimmering lake beyond. A thick canopy of leaves shaded them from the late-afternoon sun. “So, you talk to Nate yet?” He couldn’t wait to start using the van after everyone went to sleep.
Jessie turned on his patio chair. “What are you thinking about?”
Troy fingered his beer can, resting on the patio table. He came close to Jessie and in a low voice, said, “What we’re going to be doing after everyone goes to sleep.” He lifted a brow.
Jessie squirmed in his seat. “That’s a long time from now.”
“So, did you talk to him?” Troy sipped his beer. He’d better have.
Jessie shifted to rest both forearms on the table. “Yeah, I talked to him this morning. We had a little heart to heart, and I explained to him that there’s nothing to worry about. I told him you and I were good, and our dad was freaking out about nothing.” He snickered. “I told him that he’d find these things out when he got to be my age.” He thinned his lips. “I also told him I’m going to finish my degree in New York, so he’d think everything was back to normal.”
Troy’s heart squeezed. “But you still haven’t decided to do that, right?” Every time Jessie brought it up now, it hurt a little more.
Jessie scoffed. “No, it’s not decided. He doesn’t have to know that.” He leaned back in his seat, then faced the lake. “I want him to stop worrying about me.”
“Who?” Donna stepped onto the porch in a blue tube top and cut-off jean shorts, holding a beer.
“Never mind, Donna. We were having a private conversation.” With a long exhale, Troy shook his head. Here we go...
Following Donna onto the porch was another young woman, with long wavy brown hair parted in the middle and bright green eyes.
Troy’s gaze caught on the woman. Who the hell is this? She’s a fox. He widened his eyes and straightened his spine, focusing on the way her brown halter top tied at her stomach, exposing her belly button.
Jessie peered at Troy, then focused on the young woman.
“Troy, Jessie, meet my new friend, Jackie.” Donna grinned at them.
Jackie waved at them both. “Hi. Which one is Troy, and which one is Jessie?”
“I’m Troy.” He smiled and pointed at Jessie. “He’s Jessie.”
“Mind if we join you boys for a beer?” Donna smirked and took a seat next to Jessie.
Jessie frowned. “Um, I guess?—”
“Sure, join us.” Troy beamed at Jackie. Where the hell did his sister find her?
Jackie took a seat next to Troy and set her beer on the table. “So, you’re Donna’s older brother?”
“Yeah.” Troy stole a peek at Jessie.
Jessie thinned his lips, twisting his beer can on the table.
Shit, what am I doing? He was sort of with Jessie now. Troy bumped Jessie’s knee with his own under the table, then smiled.
Jessie flashed his eyes at him, then gulped his beer.
“So, Donna tells me you’re studying to be a teacher?” Jackie swung her long hair behind a shoulder.
“Yep, I have one year left.” Troy’s gaze flicked to her ample breasts, then focused on her face. Stop it. It seemed old habits died hard. He glanced at Jessie.
Jessie knit his brows and met Troy’s gaze.
Donna placed her hand on Jessie’s forearm. “Jessie here is going to school for business, and then he’s going to take over his dad’s company.” She gave him a wide smile.
“Yeah.” Jessie hung his head.
Troy watched Jessie, his words ringing out in his head. I can’t be myself here. He finally understood. In fact, neither of them could really be themselves. But it was much harder for Jessie.
“Hey, Jess, you want to go for a drive?” Troy lifted his brows. If he got him alone, then maybe things would be better for him.
“Let’s all go for a drive. Jackie saw your Trans Am and she loves it.” Donna beamed at Jessie.
Troy’s mother stepped onto the porch, a dish rag in her hand. “I think that would be a good idea.” She eyed Troy. “The girls were just inside gushing about how great it would be to ride in it.”
“Mom...” Troy huffed.
Jessie grabbed Troy’s forearm, focusing on him. “It’s okay. Let’s take them for a drive.”
Troy narrowed his eyes. What was going on in Jessie’s head? “Okay, sure.”
“Cool. Let’s go down to the beach.” Donna glanced at each of them.
Troy focused on his mother, who was watching them. What was she thinking? Had she seen something between him and Jessie from the kitchen? That was silly. Jessie had him imagining things now. “Yeah, let’s go to the beach. Everyone grab some towels and beer.” He fixated on his mother.
“I’ll make some sandwiches and snacks for you to take down, so you can have a little picnic. No need to come home for dinner, I guess.” His mother smirked at him and strolled down the stairs.
Troy sat cross-legged on a deserted beach, towels placed in a circle with Jackie on one side, Jessie on the other and Donna across from him. He looked out over the water, the sun starting to set behind puffy clouds, mirrored across the lake, and the waves lapping at the sand. Somehow, Jessie was letting Donna talk him into anything she wanted, and now they were stuck with the girls for the next few hours at least—though Jackie was nice to look at. “Jess, can you hand me a beer?” His gaze snagged on a red cooler, sitting next to the wicker picnic basket his mother had packed.
Jessie opened the cooler and handed out beers to each of them, then pulled his open and took a few gulps. “So, Jackie, are you going to college?”
“No, I’m working right now. I have a secretary job in a law office downtown.” Jackie sipped her beer.
“How old are you?” Troy looked her over. He figured she’d be Donna’s age.
“Twenty.” Jackie crept closer to Troy. “I have an apartment downtown with a friend. I heard you’re living in Dinkytown?” Jackie gazed at Troy, a faint smile on her lips.
“Yeah. I have a roommate, too.” Troy smiled at her, then glanced at Jessie. What was the difference between them? He was attracted to her and to Jessie. If another good-looking dude were here, could he be attracted to him, too? This was nuts.
“Okay, everyone, so will it be spin the bottle, or truth or dare?” Donna chuckled and pulled out an empty coke bottle from the picnic basket.
“Oh, get real, Donna. Nobody wants to do that again.” Troy scoffed.
“I’d like to play.” Jackie took Troy in. “I think we’d have fun.” She touched his thigh.
Troy focused on Jessie. Would he go for it?
Jessie lifted his chin. “Sure, why not.” He chugged his beer down. “Anyone want to get high first?”
“Jess...” Troy said, between his teeth. His sister didn’t know about that and wasn’t supposed to.
“A-ha. I knew you two were getting stoned.” Donna pointed at Troy, then at Jessie, chuckling. “Light one up.”
Jessie slipped a joint and his lighter out of the front pocket of his jeans, then put the joint between his lips and lit it, taking a deep draw.
“Donna, don’t tell Mom about this. She’ll kill me.” Troy pressed his lips together.
Jessie handed the joint to Donna. “Dude, if she tells on you, you can tell on her.” He snickered.
“Yeah, Troy, what are you thinking?” Donna hit off the joint and passed it to Jackie.
Jackie sucked it in, waited, then released a cloud of smoke. She held the joint out, nodding her head. “Good shit. Where’d you get it?”
Jessie widened his eyes. “A-a friend.”
Jackie drew another hit and exhaled. “Maybe when we get back, you can hook me up.”
Jessie lifted his brows. “Oh, ah, it was a one-time thing. I just got this for the vacation.”
“Sure, man.” Jackie gave him a sly grin, then passed the joint to Troy.
Troy took a hit, then handed it to Jessie. He was sure that wherever Jessie got his pot, it had something to do with a gay bar or a gay bookstore.
“So? Spin the bottle or truth or dare?” Donna giggled. “If we play spin the bottle, that means if you spin it, Troy, and it lands on Jessie, you have to kiss him.”
Troy curled a corner of his mouth and looked at Jessie. Little did she know, that wasn’t a problem. “So?”
Jessie gave a slow shake of his head, focusing on Troy.
“I thought you’d be grossed out by that, but okay.” Donna centered the bottle in front of them, laying it on its side.
“Wait, maybe I don’t want to kiss Troy.” Jessie smirked at him, then took another drag on the joint. “That’s fucking gross, man.” He giggled.
“Fucker. Maybe kissing you is gross, too.” Troy slapped at his knee, snickering. Though if they did have to kiss in front of the girls, he’d have a hard time hiding how much he’d enjoy it.
“Okay, so truth or dare it is.” Donna spun the bottle on the towel. It landed on Jessie. She smirked. “Truth or dare, Jessie?”
Jessie pinched the joint out and tucked it away with his lighter. “Truth.” He glanced at Troy.
Donna slumped her shoulders. “Aw...” She twisted her mouth, then straightened. “Okay, so do you have a crush on anyone?”
Jessie widened his eyes and peeked at Troy. “Um...” He bit his lip. “I guess so, yeah.”
Troy’s heart skipped. Is he talking about me? He better be. Maybe he could ask later. Or maybe he should leave it alone.
“Who?” Donna lifted her brows.
“You can only ask one question and I answered it.” As Jessie’s cheeks reddened, he spun the bottle.
The bottle pointed at Jackie. “Truth or Dare?” Jessie gazed at her.
“Dare.” Jackie gave Troy a shy smile.
Jessie took her in, then released a long exhale. “Okay, Jackie, I dare you to kiss Troy.”
“What?” Troy’s chest pinched. Why would he do that?
Jackie grinned at Troy. “Okay.” She crept close to him on her knees, gazed into his eyes, then hooked her hand around the back of his head and placed a long, deep kiss over his mouth.
As Jackie’s lips pressed against Troy’s, her tongue snuck inside, gliding over his own. Troy shut his eyes and fought to not enjoy any of it. Jessie was watching. Jessie was right there. He broke the kiss, pushing her shoulder, chuckling. “Okay, that’s enough.”
Jackie smiled at him, then crept to her seat, licking her lips.
Donna snickered. “I’ve never seen you push a chick away, Troy.”
“We’re playing a game, Donna.” Troy’s gaze snagged Jessie’s. Why did he do that?
Jessie tensed his lips, wrinkling his brows. “Your turn, Troy.” He gulped his beer.
Troy drew a deep inhale. “Okay.” He spun the bottle. It landed on Jessie.
Jessie stared at him. “Truth.” He gulped hard.
Troy looked him over. What could he ask him? He had about a thousand things he wanted to ask but none he could ask with the chicks here.
“Well?” Jessie sipped his beer, keeping his gaze affixed to Troy’s.
“Ask him who he has a crush on, Troy.” Donna giggled, then elbowed Jackie.
Jackie chuckled. “Yeah, ask him that. He said he has a crush on someone.” Jackie smirked at Donna.
Troy rubbed his forehead. Why did they have to play this game? None of it was all that fun, really. “Okay.” He sighed. “Who do you have a crush on?” He could lie and no one would know.
“An old friend.” Jessie fixated on Troy, curled one side of his mouth, then drank his beer.
Warmth threaded through Troy’s chest. He’s talking about me. If he could kiss him right now...
“You have to say her name.” Donna pinched her lips. “That’s not fair.”
“Troy did not ask me the name of the person I have a crush on. He just asked who I have a crush on, and I answered.” Jessie smirked at Donna.
“Not fair.” Donna pouted.
“Wait, you’re an old friend, right, Donna?” Jackie lifted a brow at her.
“Oh, yeah.” She grinned and placed a hand on Jessie’s thigh.
Troy stretched across the towels and swiped her hand off him. She was not allowed to touch him. “Don’t be such a slut.”
“A slut?” Donna burst out laughing. “If anyone’s a slut, it’s you.”
Troy rolled his eyes. “Yeah, right.”
Jessie spun the bottle and it landed at Jackie. “Truth or dare?”
“Truth.” Jackie grinned at Jessie.
“Is Troy a good kisser?” Jessie smirked, glancing at Troy.
What is up with him? Heat flashed over Troy’s face. “Shut up, man.”
She offered Troy a coy grin. “Yeah, he’s a great kisser. Good with his tongue.” She fluttered her eyelashes at him.
“Barf. Some things I don’t need to know.” Donna shook her head.
Troy dropped his mouth open. He hadn’t even tried to kiss her like that. He looked over at Jessie.
Jessie furrowed his brows and fingered the top of his beer. “So, your turn.”
Jackie spun the bottle and it landed on Jessie. “Truth or dare?”
“I’ll take dare this time.” Jessie sipped his beer and peered at Troy.
“I dare you to French kiss Troy,” Jackie said.
As Jessie’s breath caught, he stared at Troy. “Uh... French kiss?”
Troy widened his eyes. They couldn’t do this and make it look normal, could they? There was no way. A pulse of desire shivered over his spine. Just thinking about it was no good.
“You have to do it.” Jackie glanced between them both. “Come on, are you homophobic or something?”
Troy burst out in a sharp laugh. “Fuck no.” His gaze met Jessie’s. This was crazy.
Jessie chuckled, giving his head a slow shake. “I’m not and I’ll prove it.” He crept to Troy and placed a hand on the back of his head, coming close. His gaze fell to Troy’s lips.
“What are you doing, Jess?” Troy stared at him.
“Kissing you.” Jessie crushed his mouth in an intense kiss, parting his lips with his tongue and darting it inside to slide across Troy’s.
Desire shuddered through his body. He stifled a moan and flicked his tongue over Jessie’s, their lips tangling together.
Jessie broke the kiss, taking a deep breath, then released Troy.
Troy sat in a daze. Where’s my beer? Oh, in my hand. He drank a few gulps down. He needed to calm himself after that.
“Fuck. That was... good.” Jackie looked at them with wide eyes.
Donna wrinkled her nose. “No, that was gross.”
Jackie turned to Donna. “I bet if one of them wasn’t your brother, you wouldn’t be saying that.” She freed a soft chuckle.
“No, I’d still be saying that. Who wants to see two dudes kiss? Not me.” Donna huffed and drank her beer. “Anyway, it’s Jessie’s turn again.” She gave him a coy smile.
“Oh.” Jessie tore his gaze from Troy, then spun the bottle. It landed on Donna. He raked his hand through his dark hair. “Okay, Donna, truth or dare.”
“Dare.” As Donna took him in, her eyes twinkled.
Jessie smirked. “I dare you to French kiss Jackie.” He snorted and peeked at Troy.
“What? No. We need a new rule here, you can only kiss the opposite sex.” Donna glanced at Jackie.
Jackie spread a wide grin over her mouth. “What’s wrong, Donna? Are you a little homophobic, maybe?”
“No, I just... would rather kiss dudes.” Donna scoffed. “We should have played spin the bottle.”
Troy studied Jessie. It seemed like he was up to something. Finally he turned to Jackie. “Go ahead, Jackie, let her have it.” He chuckled.
“Oh, fine.” Donna crawled close to Jackie.
Jackie wrapped her arm around Donna’s shoulders and placed a long, penetrating kiss over her lips, then withdrew, licking her lips.
Troy’s cock stirred. He adjusted his shorts. Damn, does everything turn me on now? It was his sister she was kissing, though. His back shivered in an unpleasant way. It would have been much better if Jackie had kissed another girl and not Donna. He glanced at Jessie.
Jessie watched him, his head cocked, chewing the inside of his mouth.
Donna wiped her lips with the back of her hand. “Did you get what you wanted, Jessie?” She chuckled.
Jessie hung his head. Under his breath, he said, “Troy did.” He swiped the sand at the edge of his beach towel.
Troy’s heart pinched. Did the chicks hear that? He glanced from Donna to Jackie. They didn’t seem to. He forced a smile. “Your turn, Donna, unless maybe we should stop.”
“Why stop now?” Donna giggled and sipped her beer. “Right, Jackie?”
“Right.” Jackie eyed Troy. “It’s just getting good.”
Donna spun the bottle and it stopped at Jessie. “Oh, good.” She wrapped her hands in front of her chest. “Truth or dare, Jessie?”
Troy furrowed his brows. This was a no-win situation for Jessie. If he picked dare, Donna would want him to kiss her. If he picked truth, he was sure she’d ask the name of his crush.
Jessie rubbed his forehead. “Uh, dare.” He curled the corners of his mouth, lifting his brows. “I suppose you’re going to kiss me now.”
She lifted her chin. “I was going to, but I think I’m going to be more daring this time.” She took him in.
“Okay, what?” Jessie gulped his beer.
Donna glanced at Jackie and smirked, then back to Jessie. “Strip.”
“You can’t be serious, Donna.” Troy glared at her. “What if someone comes by? He could get arrested or something.”
“No one is going to come by. There’s no one out here.” Donna scanned the beach and woods surrounding them in the twilight. “There are hardly any boats left on the lake.”
Jessie gave his head a shake. “Fuck, man. What am I supposed to do once I’m naked? Can I at least streak down the beach or something? Or are you going to make me sit here with my Johnson hanging out?” He chuckled and shimmied his shirt off, then unfastened his shorts.
“You’re not really going to do it, are you?” Troy stared at him. Had he lost his mind?
“It’s a dare, Troy. I have to.” Jessie removed his sandals, skimmed his shorts down his legs, then set his hand on the band of his white underwear. He grinned at Donna. “Well? Am I just sitting here, or what?”
Donna snorted, covering her mouth. “What do you think, Jackie?”
Jackie looked Jessie up and down, nodding her head. “I think he should sit there.” She quirked a corner of her mouth.
“Okay...” Jessie stood and dropped his underwear down his legs, then stepped out of them. “Get a good look now.”
Donna and Jackie widened their eyes, their faces reddening.
Troy touched his fingers to his forehead. “Donna, you have a sick mind.”
Jessie started giggling and sat down, covering his groin with his hands. “Fuck, man.” He shook his head, the giggling growing. “This is so fucking stupid.”
Troy peeked at Jessie, taking in his muscled chest, strong shoulders, and taut stomach. No wonder the girls wanted to see him naked. He was a fox.
“You have nice, uh, tan lines.” Jackie erupted in giggles and Donna followed.
“Is that all?” Jessie snorted and glanced at Troy. “Go ahead, make a comment.”
Troy snickered. “About what? I’ve already seen it.” His heart skipped. Would the chicks catch that?
“What, do you two sit around naked when you go out?” Donna sniggered.
Jessie pinched his lips and slapped Troy’s thigh. “Troy...”
“Do you?” Jackie’s giggling slowed.
No such luck. “W-we’ve gone skinny dipping.” Troy stole a peek at Jessie. “Right?” Come to think of it, they’d never done that. But it was a good idea.
“Yeah. No big deal.” Jessie covered his groin with one hand and sipped his beer with the other. “How long do I have to sit like this? The mosquitos are coming out.”
“We wouldn’t want you to get bitten on your Johnson.” Jackie laughed and drank her beer. “Then what would Donna do?”
“Jackie.” Donna flashed her eyes at her. “Just, get dressed already.”
“Good. I’m about done with this game, anyway.” Jessie put his clothes on.
