Chapter Eleven
Kennedy
Walking around with a deliciously sore ass, still plugged with a small but effective toy from last night left me feeling incredibly loved. I did not enjoy the punishment spanking but somehow the stern, dominant side of Wyatt made me respect him even more. We should have hashed it all out before I’d agreed to a relationship, but hindsight was twenty-twenty. Searching for snacks along the island in Alden’s kitchen, I saw a piece of paper in front of the cabinet.
“This is weird. It says National Western Complex slash Denver Coliseum. Does this mean something to you?”
Wyatt rubbed his chin and took the paper. His pupils grew wide. “Shit! This is serious. We have to go.”
I wondered what I was missing. “What? Go where?”
“That’s an arena in Denver.” Wyatt narrowed his eyes. “Alden hasn’t been in the ring since Phantom got hurt.”
I sucked in a breath. The implications were staring me in the face. “You don’t think Alden is planning to compete? I mean, he wouldn’t.”
“He could be. Let’s go talk to him.”
“And say what?”
Wyatt pulled me against his chest and kissed my forehead. “I’ll think of something. Come on. We’re going on a road trip.”
“But I’m sore!” I protested.
“Then you’ll behave, won’t you?”
“I’m not going to Denver with a… toy in my very private place.”
“You’re the one who’s kept it in. While I appreciate your enthusiasm I didn’t decree any sort of punishment around the butt plug.”
That wasn’t fair. Heat flamed my face. “I thought since you… put it in… I guess…”
“Shhh. Don’t get upset. I promise you that if I ever decide to insert something as a punishment, my instructions will be very clear. You’re such a good girl, Kennedy.” Wyatt stroked my hair.
“I’m attempting to be, Daddy.”
“Go ahead and take it out. Unless you need a hand?” He winked.
“No, I can do it.”
“Don’t dawdle. I want to get on the road.”
“All right, I understand,” I said but continued looking up at him. “More action, less talking.”
“I’m frustrated because Alden doesn’t need to prove what a badass he is by competing.”
“But this is our fault. We had bad timing. He is trying to prove that he’s not some washed-up rodeo star. That he isn’t afraid to take risks. That–”
Wyatt kissed me until I moaned.
“Plug out. Jeans on.”
“Right, right, Daddy. I’ll get dressed.” I kissed him again, tangling my tongue with his.
“Don’t distract me.” Wyatt gave me a hard swat across my ass. “Hurry up.”
“Be right back!”
Wyatt
Obeying most… some… of the traffic laws, we arrived at the arena much faster than I’d anticipated. We had to find Alden and assure him that everything was okay. Tell him that we were in a relationship. All three of us. That neither Kennedy or I would resort to stomping away instead of facing our feelings or insecurities without talking to him again.
Tugging Kennedy along behind me, I immediately paused. Something about the smells, the chaos, the crowds always made me feel like I was home. I’d spent a long time rushing around arenas waiting to get into the ring, but I realized it left me unfilled. Another reason why I’d been chasing adrenaline. It never satisfied me the way a partner could. Turning a corner, I bumped straight into someone. A warm combination of spicy aromas hit me. Stetson . Luke’s signature cologne. I would know it anywhere. Stepping away from the huge muscled chest, I saw Luke frowning down at me.
“What are you doing here, Pistol?” I demanded.
Luke kissed Kennedy’s cheek and hugged her before setting his eyes on me. “Well, isn’t it nice to see you too.”
“We’re looking for Alden.”
“What happened to your face, Wyatt?”
“Nothing. A long story and a drunk idiot,” I snapped then immediately backtracked. “Sorry, man. This is important. Alden is going to do something stupid! It’s complicated. Have you seen him?”
Luke looked up at the arena ceiling and slowly returned his eyes to mine. “Take a breath. What do you think is going on here, Firecracker?”
“Alden said he couldn’t even get back in the ring so when I saw the name of the arena…” As I opened my mouth to explain I realized something very different than what I’d been picturing on our ride here was happening. Luke would never let him get back in the ring, no matter what. Especially not for bravado.
He scoffed. “I’ve been trying to get you to retire for years. Come on, Wyatt. Do you really think I’d advocate him getting back in the ring?”
“Oh, thank god.” Kennedy spoke up.
I was confused. “Then why is Alden here with you, Luke?”
“Tate had the audacity to become a Daddy.”
“Tate’s been a Daddy for a long time,” Kennedy said giggling.
“Ha! Right, an actual…” Luke trailed off laughing. “Marissa had their beautiful baby boy. Those three are parents now. And if that doesn’t scare you a little, nothing else will.”
Kennedy jumped up and down. “That’s amazing! Why didn’t anyone tell me?”
“Aren’t you in the group chat? Unless you put it on silent again.” Luke cocked an eyebrow.
“Jerk,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I didn’t like some of the suggestions I was getting.”
“Sassy brat,” he said warmly. “That’s exactly why you should keep the chat active.”
“Wait,” I interrupted them. “I didn’t get any of those messages. Why am I not in it?” I looked over her shoulder as she scrolled through her phone.
“I may have blocked you one day when I was upset.”
“Naughty little thing,” I chided. “Add me back.”
Luke crossed his arms. “Sorry, Wyatt. I didn’t notice or I would have.”
“Thanks, Pistol. So what do you mean Alden isn’t competing? And what’s that have to do with Marissa having the baby?”
“I have twelve girls competing this weekend. Tate and Emma needed to stay home for Marissa. I couldn’t think of anyone else who had the knowledge to handle such a large group along with transporting…”
“Any ribbons yet?” Kennedy interjected.
“Don’t interrupt me.” He shot her a stern look. “We’ve won plenty of ribbons. I’ll tell you all about it later. I asked Alden to come with me.”
“Luke!” I snapped.
“Don’t talk to me in that tone.”
“Sorry,” I muttered. “My emotions have been spinning since I left the ranch.”
“Okay.” Luke nodded. “But Wyatt?”
“What?”
“The two of you should find Alden… before he finds you.”
“Listen here–”
“What was that?” Luke raised an eyebrow. Always the Daddy Dom even when he was around his friends. Damn it . He did that a lot, I realized. My best friend along with Alden. The two men who’d do anything and everything for me.
Luke hadn’t been my dominant since our mid-twenties but that stern glare brought heat to my face. It wasn’t fair. Luke had no fire power, but knowing the situation he could easily go to Alden. Jabbing my fingers into my hair, I took a few breaths.
“Come on, sweetheart,” I said to Kennedy. “Let’s face the music.”
“You say it like we’ve done something wrong,” she protested. “Speeding isn’t a crime if you don’t get caught.”
“Oh, yeah?” Luke smirked. “Ask Jesse his thoughts on that.”
“Jesse would answer with his belt. I think he’s spanked the whole town.” Kennedy groaned.
Luke and I laughed louder at her declaration. She might be right. I didn’t think we would be in trouble for rushing to Denver but there was a lot to unpack. Following Luke through the walkways, we chatted about old times and happier moments. Finally he pointed to where his trailer was.
“We are in the last few rounds of the competition. I was about to switch with Alden, but I can give you half an hour,” Luke said quietly.
“Thanks, Luke. I wasn’t trying to be a smartass.”
“Yeah you were.”
Kennedy and I hugged him again. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door to the trailer. It wasn’t overly large but it could transport a bunch of people. It also served as a spot for naps, breaks, or downtime for anyone involved in the show. Alden opened the door, glancing back and forth between the two of us. Shock was evident on his face. Underneath it was a hint of worry.
“I’m happy to see you, but why are you here?”
Kennedy hugged him first, throwing her arms around his neck. He lifted her up into the trailer, stepping back so I could enter.
“Maybe we missed you.”
“Mmmhmm.” He looked between us as if waiting for the real explanation.
“Well, we did,” I insisted.
Alden set her down long enough to hug me pulling me into his arms. He released me and sat down on the small couch. I sat down next to him with Kennedy curling against his side.
“One of you better start talking.”
I glanced at Kennedy and decided it was better for me to explain. “We found a piece of paper this morning with the arena name. I thought you were getting back in the ring. You, uh, said something along those lines the last time we spoke in person. It’s stupid now that I realize what happened.”
“I asked you to handle the ranch while I was gone.”
“Yes, I did that. But we had no idea where you went.” I swallowed hard trying to keep my tears at bay. “I thought you were competing.”
“Did you come to stop me or encourage me?”
I leaned my head on his shoulder. “I wanted to tell you that getting in the ring has nothing to do with our relationship. Whether or not you ever compete again. Kennedy and I both had reasons to not embark on this journey. They were shit reasons, but reasons all the same.”
“Thank you for being honest. I have thought about it, but it’s not something I plan on doing.” Suddenly he leaned over to me and cupped my chin. Alden turned my cheek and flicked his gaze to my eyes.
“It’s nothing.” I brushed off the concern flickering in his eyes and answered his unspoken question.
“Who hit you?”
“Leon Collier.”
“Leon? Didn’t you know him in high school? Why’d he hit you?”
Kennedy cleared her throat. “We went to school with him but neither of us were friends with him. I went to The Bad Cherry last night . He paid my tab and insisted I go home with him,” she said simply.
I continued the story. “So, I picked Kennedy up. Leon was so happy to see my face that his fist greeted me.”
“Fucking prick,” Alden said under his breath.
“But it helped Wyatt and I get into a few serious conversations,” Kennedy piped up, nodding in my direction.
“Is that so?” Alden dropped his hand.
“We’re in a throuple,” I announced proudly.
“Are we?” Alden slapped his knee, his concern fading into something more lighthearted. “Is that all it took? To leave the two of you alone to your own devices? Shoot. I’d have gone on vacation if I knew that.”
“You’re not mad?” I asked the question that had been on my mind since I’d declared it last night.
“No, Firecracker. I’m not mad. Not about that. I wish you hadn’t jumped to conclusions on what I was up to and instead had paid better attention to what Kennedy was doing.”
She squirmed on his lap.
“I’m sorry, Sir. It took a bit of heavy conversation to get us here. Not here in Denver, but on the same page,” I apologized. I really hoped Alden wasn’t going to bust my ass for not keeping a handle on our girl.
“Well, I can’t punish you for something you did before we established our dynamic. But I’d really like the two of you to keep this honest and open communication going. Will you do that?” Alden rubbed Kennedy’s back as he questioned us.
“Yes, Sir.”
“Yes, Daddy,” she said nuzzling into his chest.
“Did Wyatt respond to your antics, babygirl?”
“Oh, he did. I’ve never had a disciplinary spanking before. Please trust me when I say he delivered.”
Alden glanced at his watch. “I have a few more minutes before I’m needed. Let me see.”
Kennedy blushed furiously, her cheeks as pink as her bottom had been a few hours ago.
“You want to see my ass? Now? I mean in front of both of you?”
It was a rather silly question considering how often I’d seen all of her in the span of a few hours. Alden had obviously seen all of her before. She was either stalling or aroused again. Regardless, Alden wouldn’t ask her twice.
“You heard me,” Alden said growling.
She bit her lip and stood, unbuttoning her jeans and shucking them to her knees. Alden rubbed his palm across her ass then tugged her panties down.
“I feel very exposed,” she muttered.
He rubbed either side admiring the faint marks still left from my hand in a few spots. “Oh, sweetheart. Are you sore?”
“Yes, I am. The ride here was very uncomfortable if it matters.”
Alden leaned into her body and kissed her hip. One of his hands dipped lower and she moaned. “Your pussy seems to have liked the attention too. I’m surprised how very needy she is.”
I watched her spread her legs as if trying to give herself some relief.
“I’ve been aroused since this morning.”
“Hm. Behave yourself on the way home and I’ll take care of both of you tonight.” Alden caressed her pussy lips.
Kennedy’s breath hitched in her throat. “Yes, Daddy. I’ll be so fucking good.”
“You’re always good, babygirl. Now I want you to behave.”
It was important to differentiate the two. Misbehaving didn’t mean you were bad, only naughty. The way he was touching her made my dick rock-hard. Driving home was going to be difficult for me too. Shifting slightly to ease my cock, I saw Alden slowly grin.
“I’m also excited by the idea of you taking care of us, Daddy,” I admitted.
“Come and fix our girl’s pants before I leave poor Luke to handle the last leg of the show alone,” he said plainly.
Grunting, I got to my feet. Running my hands along her ass and thighs caused little moans of pleasure to fall out between her lips. Something about my competitive nature made me pause long enough to lick the seam of her body. Delving my tongue inside her caused her to squeak.
“Eeep! That wasn’t nice! Holy fuck, Wyatt.” Kennedy drummed her feet.
“Just wait,” I mused.
Alden grabbed me by the back of the neck and bit into my shoulder. Hissing as he marked me, I couldn’t stop the moan that followed.
“No touching each other sexually until I get home,” he ordered.
“Yes, Daddy.” A whimper tore from my frustrated lips causing Alden to chuckle darkly.
“Good boy. Now do as I said.”
Without further ado, I quickly situated our girl’s panties back up to her waist, fixing her jeans and buttoning them.
“I’ll get us to the ranch safely, Sir.”
“See to it.”
Alden kissed me, his tongue tangling with mine. I enjoyed the way he tasted but he broke away sooner than I wanted. He helped Kennedy straighten and kissed her. She cupped his face in between her hands, and looked up at him adoringly.
“I’m sorry for not giving our relationship a chance. I’m ready now,” she apologized.
“Good girl. I promise you, this will work. All three of us. I’ll see you soon.”
Alden led us out of the trailer. We hugged him goodbye before heading toward the parking lot. I felt a little silly for assuming he’d gone off to relieve his glory days, but things were working out even better than I’d hoped. I had two partners who cared about me in different ways, and I wouldn’t let anything prevent us from our happily ever after.
