MATT
I ’m praying no one gets hurt at practice, but my head isn’t in it. By the end of the relay race, I’m not even sure who won. Luckily, these kids are great and know the practice from start to finish.
Getting into my car, I exhale a huge breath. I wasn’t sure what our agreement would look like, wasn’t sure how long would it be until I get to have her again.
But today...wow. How is it possible that each time with her breaks a record in the best sex category? Every time I think I couldn’t possibly be better than this, I’m proved wrong.
Eating her out on the kitchen island...I guess I do have some kitchen skills, after all. Having her perfect body underneath me, pliant and whimpering, trembling with pleasure. The choking. Fuckkkk, the choking.
I noticed the second the lack of oxygen was too much, which scared the shit out of me, but it also filled me with vast gratitude.
This fleeting, skittish creature filled with trust issues trusted me with her literal life. I don’t think she’s aware of it, but I notice it. I notice when her face strips the mask of detachment, replacing it with pure passion and devotion.
Seeing my cum dripping down her thigh does something to me. Something primal, making my chest beat harder, screaming ‘ Mine’ with every beat.
My cock is hard again by the time I get home, but I’m not going to take care of it. It would be a poor substitute, anyway. Instead, I torture myself by doing more research on breath play. It’s hard not to imagine her in the lines I read, but if we’ll be doing this more often, I need to be more than slightly informed.
“Now that we have our theme, thank you, Matt, let’s make it as good as possible.” Natalie states as she leads the décor team meeting in the conference room on Tuesday morning. “I’m excited to hear your great ideas.”
She’s wearing a deep green dress that cinches her waist and flows freely down her legs. She looks gorgeous as ever, so it takes me extra effort to keep hearts out of my eyes.
Though it annoys me she doesn’t pay me attention, it’s a nice reprieve. I’m not sure how I would hide my erection if she dared to stare at me with those chocolate eyes. The others are brainstorming ideas, but I’m barely listening. I hope the ideas I gave last time were enough contribution.
“Matt, what do you think? This was your idea after all.” Anne slaps my shoulder.
“Sounds good,” I say but the look in her eyes says she knows I have no idea what we’re talking about. I pull my focus back, listening to Danielle. I like my initial idea, but what she’s saying and what Natalie has written on the whiteboard without me noticing are miles away.
My idea was an interesting looking piece of dirt, but they’re making it into a diamond.
“Great work, everyone!” Natalie claps her hands. “I’ll type this up and delegate the tasks by the end of the day.”
Everyone rushes to the door, leaving me and her to exit last.
“Maybe you should pay more attention in the meetings.” She smirks.
“Maybe you shouldn’t look so fucking hot,” I say underneath my breath before exiting. Her laughter follows me out.
Thankfully, I have a couple of client meetings before lunch, which will take my mind off her. Some of the law clinic clients contacted us, and I’m excited to meet up with them. There are three families in need of a better, affordable place to live, and I plan to find a space for them, probably in Connor’s building. We will also enroll the kids in our programs, so childcare won’t be an issue. And there are two other families needing me to represent them in court.
Underprivileged people are often victims of the justice system, simply because court appointed lawyers aren’t as skillful and motivated as the courtroom sharks waiting for their massive bonuses. Some cases will probably take a lot of researching and prep time for me, but I’m looking forward to it.
After finishing the last of my client meetings, Kiara calls to me from her office.
“You needed me?”
“Please, take a seat.” She gestures to the chair in front of her desk. “Are you satisfied here in our little slice of heaven?”
I smile, happy the topic of this conversation isn’t ‘I watched the security footage from a couple of weeks ago.’
“Honestly? I’m loving it. I don’t want to sound like a suck up, but I’m extremely glad I made the decision to come work here.”
“I’m glad to hear that. We’re also very happy to have you. I heard about the gala theme you proposed, and I love it. Your initiative with the law clinic was incredible, and you fit in seamlessly with the rest of the team.”
“Thank you, Kiara. I actually have two more law clinic families coming tomorrow that need my help with immigration papers.”
“That’s great, Matt. As I said, we appreciate having you here.” The wrinkles beside her eyes deepen with a smile. “You can get to lunch.”
It’s good to be appreciated.
Heading to the break room on Friday, Sarah sends me a video of Benji. He’s running towards her, more stable now, with an adorable smile on his chubby face. My lips can’t help but turn up.
“What are you smiling about?” Natalie asks when I enter. I have no idea when she and I will meet up again. She hasn’t made any moves, and I’m following her lead. Staying away and playing it cool is torture, but letting her close herself off again isn’t an option.
“My sister sent me a video of Benji running.”
“Ooh, let me see.”
“He’s adorable,” she says, staring at the screen.
“Enjoying your lunch?” I nod towards another prepackaged salad she’s eating.
“Not really.” She shrugs.
“At least the company got better.”
She laughs, and the sound goes straight to my chest. Making her come is a treat, but making her laugh is something else.
Anne enters the break room, and I dig into my lunch.
“Are you guys coming tonight?” Anne asks.
She swallows her food before saying: “Sure. But I want to do a yoga class before, so we can meet around eight?” Fuck, the image doesn’t help my plan to stay away.
“Works for me. You?” Anne turns to me. “You haven’t responded in the group chat.”
“Sorry, haven’t read it. But sure, why not?” I’m not expecting anything after, but the thought of seeing her again today is enough to lift my spirits.
“OK, then. Eight o’clock, Factory?” She points at me, I nod, and she repeats the same with Natalie. Grabbing her food, she leaves the room.
“Wow, someone really wants to have drinks tonight.” Natalie says, sarcastically, making me swallow a laugh.
“Yeah...I guess she’s sick of the pointless dates.” Anne is on the same mission as I am, finding love. Unfortunately, her first dates are just as unsuccessful as mine.
“How about you? How’s dating going?” Natalie asks me, her voice is playful.
“Oh, you know. It’s fine. Nothing to write home about.” If by fine, I mean I haven’t opened a dating app in weeks. But I sure as hell don’t plan to freak her out by telling her that.
“Good. I mean good that it’s fine.” She quickly recovers, but my heart decides she meant it’s good it hasn’t been going well.
She drops her container into the recycling and heads towards the door.
“I guess I’ll see you later.” Her smirk is pointed, but she’s quite a mystery to me.
“You’re done for the day?”
“I have some meetings outside of the office, and I’ll head to yoga straight after.”
“Enjoy yoga.” I’ll surely enjoy imagining you in the painted-on yoga pants.
Eight o’clock rolls around quick as I FaceTime with Sarah and the boys. I throw on a black Henley paired with jeans and head out.
Anne’s the only one there when I arrive, which isn’t unusual since I managed to arrive five minutes early.
“Long time no see,” I joke, giving her a small hug.
“Ha-ha. It kind of is, since you spend your days at the office focused on someone else.”
“Ooh, is that jealousy I hear, Annie?”
“Envy, to be precise. It’s sickening to look at you shoot heart-eyes at Natalie, while the best date I had in the last month ended in a high five.” She groans.
“Don’t worry. My eyes might say different, but I’m not in a much better situation with ‘Ms. I Don’t Do Commitment’.” I clink my beer bottle to her gin glass.
The others join soon after. Natalie sits across from me, acting as if nothing’s going on between us, so I follow along. She’s in a tight, short black dress and heeled boots. At least three men are checking her out as I speak, not including me. My cock is standing on business, ready if she decides to look our way twice.
Connor is saying something to Noah and me, but I have a hard time focusing while she’s telling a story to Anne and Rina. Her voice and laughter fill the room, even with the music going. Connor smacks the back of my head, pulling my attention back.
“Sorry.” I flinch.
“Try to keep the drool inside.” He smirks, making Noah laugh.
“You were saying?”
“I was talking about how my latest project is ahead of schedule. And for my next one, I have a special idea.” His voice lowers. The girls are still laughing at their own stuff, not bothered by us. “Well, you’re now a part of them, but I guess you’ll stick to the guy code first.” He regards me with caution. “So, for my next project, I want to make the BYC a building.” My sip catches in my throat, so I cough out.
“What?” I whisper, while Noah lets out a low whistle.
“I want to make a new office space for BYC, but not only that. I plan to make space for different programs of theirs to take place. Of course, an ice rink isn’t in the plans, but you know, for regular programs, I think it would work. What do you think?”
“I think we would have a weeklong party at the office if that happened,” I say, still in shock. It would change so much for us. We struggle to take count of all the volunteers and the kids because our programs are scattered around the city. It’s also a problem finding spaces to rent out where our programs can take place. This would be a game changer.
“That’s pretty sick,” Noah adds, nodding his head.
“Of course, the BYC would need to pay some kind of rent, but I’d be the landlord, so you know it would be lower than it currently is. Rina still doesn’t know. I plan to make it a surprise, so don’t you dare tell her.” Both of us agree.
The girls join our conversation, and soon we’re on the topic of skiing.
“We’re thinking of renting a cabin in Stevens Pass. Connor wants to teach us to ski,” Rina says.
“Ooh, sounds fun. I’ve never been skiing,” Natalie responds, her lips wrapped around the straw of her drink.
“Neither have I.” I shrug. With a single mom, skiing was not in the yearly budget.
“We could all rent out a cabin together and have some fun,” Anne adds.
“Yes! We just need to find when it works for all of us.” The girls all nod, agreeing.
I never thought about skiing, but if Natalie is going, I’m going, too. Still, I know this group of people pretty well, and this will probably be another idea that never makes it out of the group chat.
By the end of the night, Noah leaves to meet up with Alex. They’re still casual but obviously still seeing each other. It’s looking more serious than he lets on, but I might be projecting. Anne catches a ride with Rina and Connor, since she’s on their way, and Natalie and I are left last to exit the bar.
“You need a ride?” I offer.
“No, thanks. My car’s right here.”
“But you were drinking, no?”
“Not really. I don’t really drink much.” Her gaze shifts to the side.
“What do you mean? I’ve seen you get tipsy a bunch of times.” I give her shoulder a nudge, jokingly.
“Oh, that’s just my vibrant personality.” Her lips turn up. “Truth is, I’ll drink a glass or two, but never more. Not anymore.” Her voice gets low by the end, and I sense there’s a story there.
“Ok. Let me walk you to your car.” My hand finds its way to the small of her back. It fits there perfectly, and a zing of possessiveness courses through me. As if sensing it, she shivers under my touch.
She unlocks her car and steps inside. Our eyes lock, and a breath escapes her. I lean into the car door to say goodbye, but she pulls me by my shirt, pressing her soft lips to mine. She tastes of cherries, and suddenly they’re my favorite fruit.
Control is hard to find, so I enter her mouth, our hot tongues battling. She moans into my mouth, and the sound goes straight to my dick. My rock-hard dick begging to join. Fuck, we’re in a parking lot.
I release her mouth and press my forehead to hers. The sounds of our heavy breaths fill the otherwise empty lot.
“We should probably stop,” I say.
“What? You’re done with public adventures?” She bites into her lip, and I need to shake my head to stop myself from fucking her right there.
“Our luck of not getting caught is bound to run out sometime.” And I’m not sure what I would do if some creep were to see us. See her.
“Guess I’ll see you Monday, then.” She winks and closes the car door.
I was hoping to go back to my place, but maybe it would be too much for her. We did just have sex yesterday, after all.
My need for her is never-ending, but I can’t expect she’s feeling the same.
