Epilogue

Dear Bob and Hildy,

We hope you’ll accept our sincerest apologies for this delayed reply, but we’ve had a busy few months.

We had to weather one storm, a best friend’s broken engagement, then Sayla’s mother’s wedding before the holidays.

Not to mention we’re both in the middle of planning two massive renovation projects.

In case you didn’t hear, the school received insurance money to repair the theater, and we’d settled on using the FRIG for the gym, but then an anonymous donor ponied up extra cash to make sure both our renovations are top-of-the-line.

Nothing too good for us Gray Squirrels.

At first, we were pretty sure the donors were Lincoln James and Hadley Morgan. They’re notoriously generous celebrities, and we figured they probably wanted to even the playing field between Harvest High and Stony Peak.

Literally. All of our fields are being redone.

Except when they were interviewed about it, they swore the money didn’t come from them.

So maybe they really do want to stay anonymous.

Or maybe there’s someone else keeping a secret.

For now, the source remains a mystery. And we don’t even care.

Because of the biggest news, which is that Sayla and I fell in love with each other.

For real love. Like stupidly, head over heels, can’t-breathe-without-you love.

So we feel like now is a good time to come clean and admit that our relationship was only fictional while we were at Camp Reboot. We cooked up the story because Tori was coming on a little strong at first, and we didn’t want her to embarrass herself.

But don’t worry. We reached out to her over social media last month and met up to confess everything. She was very sweet and understanding, and we were relieved. After all, we don’t want to start the rest of our lives on anything but the truth.

So if you decide to put this letter on your office wall, make sure it’s in a spot where everyone can see that Camp Reboot is a place where truth begins.

And last but not least, please see the enclosed invitation.

We found a way to finally give Sayla the birthday she always wanted. Of course, this invite comes with zero pressure. At the very least, it’s more pretty wallpaper for your office.

But either way, you two inspired us with your happily ever after, and we would like nothing more than for you to witness ours.

Fondly,

Dex and Sayla,

The Reboot Editions

PS: Fern is welcome to join the party too, but we may be too excited to breathe that day, let alone all the way to our feet.
