Chapter 45

FORTY-FIVE

KYREN

“Still with me, baby?” I whisper, slowing the thrust of my hips as Trinity’s eyelids flutter. “You can sleep now, if you want.”

Our plan to fuck Trinity into a coma appears to have been somewhat of a success. We’re only a few hours from landing, and I’m hoping it will be a little easier to transport a passed-out omega rather than one still crying and begging for a knot.

But I might just be on the verge of passing out myself.

I marvel at Trinity’s stamina as I slow my movements to give her a chance to rest. Twelve hours of almost nonstop sex, and she’s somehow outlasted all of us.

The rest of the us have cycled through periods of collapse and recovery, grabbing water and protein bars between rounds, but Trinity has barely slowed down. Her heat has created a level of insatiable need I’ve never witnessed before—not even during our previous heat-breaking session.

When her breathing finally slows and her eyes flutter closed, I try to carefully disengage from her. Just that slight movement is enough to snap her awake. Her eyes fly open, pupils still blown wide with need despite her obvious exhaustion.

She wraps her arms around my neck with surprising strength, pulling me back with a desperate whine that vibrates against my chest.

“No,” she purrs in my ear. “Need more.”

I try to gently reason with her, even as my body craves more connection. “You need to rest, sweetheart. We’ve been at this for hours.”

She responds by leaning forward and pressing her lips against mine in a languid kiss. When she pulls back, a mischievous smile plays on her lips. “You taste like Matheo.”

I raise an eyebrow, my mouth curving into a half-smile. “Hmm, I wonder why.”

A delicious giggle escapes her—the sound so different from the desperate moans that have filled the cabin for the last several hours. This laugh feels intimate, conspiratorial. Special, somehow.

But then her expression shifts, uncertainty clouding those beautiful hazel eyes. “Is that okay?” she asks, suddenly serious. “I know you guys aren’t actually together like that.”

The question catches me off guard. I pause, actually making myself think about it instead of rushing to reassure her. I glance over at Matheo’s sleeping form beside us, remembering the feel of his mouth against mine when Trinity asked us to kiss.

The memory doesn’t trigger panic or discomfort—just a warm sense of connection that feels... right.

“It’s more than okay,” I tell her honestly. “Being with you makes anything feel possible. Everything seems easy. ”

Her eyes search mine, something vulnerable and hopeful in her gaze. “Easy enough to bond?”

My breath catches. This isn’t heat-drunk rambling—there’s a clarity in her eyes that tells me she knows exactly what she’s asking. I smooth a sweat-dampened curl from her forehead, choosing my words carefully.

“Trinity, you don’t have to make a decision like that during your first heat. You should wait until?—”

“I’ve wanted to bond with you from the minute you showed up for our heat-breaking session,” she interrupts, her voice low but unwavering. “I knew it then, but you ran away. I’m not letting you run again.”

Something shifts inside me, a dam breaking, walls crumbling. All my defenses against happiness, against believing I deserve good things, collapse under the certainty in her voice.

In one fluid motion, I scoop her up in my arms, cradling her against my chest. Her surprised gasp turns into a soft sigh as I bring my mouth to where her scent pulses strongest at the juncture of her neck and shoulder. I pause there, giving her one last chance to change her mind.

Instead, she tilts her head, offering herself to me with complete trust.

I bite down hard, breaking the skin and releasing the concentrated pheromones beneath. The taste of her floods my mouth—sunshine and wildflowers and home. Trinity’s moanpierces the air, a sound of pain mingled with profound pleasure.

Before the echo of her cry fades, I feel a sharp, exquisite pain as her teeth find my shoulder, matching my mark on her with perfect symmetry. The bond snaps into place between us like a puzzle piece finding its mate—something that was always meant to be.

As her awareness blooms in my consciousness, I realize with absolute certainty that I’ve never felt like anywhere was home until this moment. Not the endless series of apartments I’ve crashed in, not my childhood house, not even the frat where I met Matheo and Cash.

Home isn’t a place. It’s Trinity’s heartbeat synced with mine, her thoughts whispering at the edges of my mind, her soul entwined with my own.

For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m exactly where I belong.
