21. Chapter Nineteen

CHAPTER NINETEEN

BETSY

B etsy wiggled in Daddy’s arms, trying to get out of his hold.

“No!” she yelled. “Don’t you dare. That’s private and you shouldn’t be looking at it!”

She continued to push off of Daddy’s chest, trying to get out of his hold but his arms just tightened.

“Let me go!” Betsy screamed. “Let me go now! You had no right to look and read the note, Angelo!”

She continued to push and wiggle in Daddy’s arms.

“It’s not private and you should have gone to your Daddy right away. You should have called him when it was left wherever it was and not touched it until he got there,” Angelo stated.

Betsy finally got out of Daddy’s hold and ran towards Angelo, trying to get the note from his hand. But he held it above her head.

“Stop! Let me have it! It’s mine, not yours!” She jumped in the air, trying to grab it.

But Angelo was too tall for her. She grabbed onto his arm, trying to pull it down, but he was too strong.

“Please,” she begged. “Give it back to me.”

Angelo shifted his arm so Daddy could grab the note.

“Please, Daddy. You don’t need to look at it. It’s private!” Tears had formed in her eyes, dripping down her face as she blinked several times. “Please. It’s private.”

Daddy looked down at her, cupping her face with his free hand. “If Angelo said you should have come to me right away, then I’m going to take a look.”

Dread filled her stomach as Daddy started to read the note. There was no way out of this. She looked around, trying to find a way to get out and away from them. Angelo was blocking one of the exits, but there was another one across the room. Maybe she could get to it before they got her.

But before she could even take a step, Angelo wrapped his arms around her waist.

“You aren’t going anywhere,” Angelo said.

She kicked and screamed, trying to get out of his hold. Why did all of them have to be so strong? Why couldn’t they be weak so she could get away?

“When did you get this?” Daddy asked.

She closed her eyes and tried to claw her way out of Angelo’s arms. No matter how much she dug her fingernails into his arms, he didn’t budge.

“Betsy, when did you get this?”

“You shouldn’t have read it,” she wailed. “It was private and I was dealing with it on my own.”

Angelo snorted as she opened her eyes, looking at Daddy.

“Sure you were. You passed out,” Angelo said.

She turned her head and glared at Angelo. “I was dealing with it and you need to fuck off. It wasn’t your business to read the note and then give it to Daddy.”

Angelo’s face went blank as he stared down at her. It was an awkward angle with his arms wrapped around her, keeping her in place so she couldn’t run away.

“Little girls who keep things like that from their Daddies ought to get spanked every night for a week. Little girls who curse should get spanked for their potty mouths. It’s unacceptable and you are in danger,” Angelo scolded her.

“Look at me,” Daddy commanded.

She looked over at Daddy. Searching his face, she tried to find anything to help her understand what he was feeling. Was he disappointed, angry, concerned, happy?

“I want to know when you got this.”

There was no use in lying anymore. He knew she had gotten the note and if he looked back at the video, he would find out exactly when.

“Right before I walked into the apartment,” she whispered.

“Where did you go?”

“To the stairwell so I could hack into someone else's internet and figure out who sent it.”

Her eyes went wide. She had just given away that she had gotten other ones before this. Shit.

“How many have you gotten?” Daddy asked.

Betsy pushed against Angelo’s arms again, trying to get out.

“Stop,” Daddy asked. “Angelo will hold you like this as I ask questions. You won’t be able to run away from this.”

Great. Just great.

“How many have you gotten?” Daddy asked once again.

She looked away. Should she just say how many notes she had gotten or should she include the text and also the phone call?

“Betsy.”

“One other note, a text, and a phone call,” she mumbled.

“I’m sorry, can you say that again. I didn't hear you.”

“One other note, a text, and a phone call.”

Daddy started cursing as he looked away. He looked mad.

“Go get the other note and let me see your phone,” Daddy said, turning back around and holding out his hand.

Angelo let go of her and she grabbed her phone from him. Angelo had grabbed her phone and the note. Why did he have to be there? Why did he have to pick it up and look at it?

“Go get the other note,” Daddy pointed to her room. “I’m assuming it’s the one you got when we went to grab your things.”

Betsy looked away. He knew and there definitely wasn’t any way to hide it. She slowly made her way towards her room, opening up her laptop and grabbing her note before heading back to Daddy and Angelo.

The guilt was still there, eating her alive and Daddy probably knew. Betsy handed over the note.

“I’m taking care of it and you don’t need to get involved,” she whispered, feeling uneasy as she spoke those words.

“Your business is my business. You should have come to me sooner.”

“No.”

Daddy’s eyes went wide for a couple seconds. “No? I don’t think I like that word.”

“No.”

Daddy bent down to her height. “Little girl,” he growled. “You’re in big trouble for keeping this from me. You know one of your rules is no lying and how many times did you lie to me when I asked if everything was okay? When I asked what the note was? One of your rules is to be safe and you are not safe. You should have come to Daddy sooner.”

She opened her mouth but closed it quickly. He was right in everything he had said.

“But it’s my business! It was a job that I did before you found me so it doesn’t pertain to you!”

She smiled, feeling good that she came up with that.

“That’s where you are wrong. Like I said before, your business is my business, even if it was before I met you. If it puts you in danger, you are to tell me right away. If it bothers you, even in the slightest, you are to tell me. Not in a week but right away.”

Her smile fell as Daddy said those words.

“Didn’t think I would say that?” Daddy asked. “Well, you’re in luck. Your well being is my top priority. I take it very seriously and you put yourself in danger.”

She looked down at her feet, not able to maintain eye contact with Daddy. His stare was intense.

“You are in trouble for keeping this from me, putting yourself in danger and not telling me. You are also in trouble because you left the apartment before hearing from me if it was okay.”

“I just went to the stairwell! I didn’t actually leave the building!” she raised her voice, looking up.

“Tough. I told you before not to leave the apartment without hearing from me first. I told you before I left. What if you went out and the person came to you, hurting you or kidnapping you? What then? You broke a rule and you are going to get spanked for that.”

Before she could stop herself, Betsy had her tongue sticking out at Daddy.

“Do that again and your punishment will be worse,” Daddy growled.

She stuck her tongue out again.

Angelo chuckled as Daddy handed him the notes and her phone. “You’re in for it, little Betsy.”

Daddy grabbed her arm, guiding her towards the couch. He sat down and patted his lap.

“Get over my lap,” Daddy said.

“No.”
