Eye Color — Species Determination

Ombre: Vampire - A descendant of an Original that has the Obsidian Drifter, Thraller, and Shadow Forger power.

Black Flecks: Vampire — Shadow Forgers. Mostly extinct following an assassination order from the Syndicate centuries ago. Shadow Forgers can form and manipulate the shadows that dwell within them, shaping them to cause severe harm or pleasure.

Red Flecks: Vampire — Thrallers. Known for their ability to compel victims through manipulation. They can also access a person's past actions by drawing from their blood.

Silver Flecks: Vampire — Obsidian Drifter. Only those descended from the Syndicate's original bloodlines carry this power, passed down through descendants of an Original.

Gold Flecks: Werewolf. Known to travel in packs, with only a limited number able to shapeshift.

Ravenger: A vampire created through near-fatal draining, not born. Ravengers are ravenous with bloodlust, burn in daylight, and have ash-like skin with razor-sharp nails and teeth. Direct feedings were banned in the early eighth century due to a growing Ravenger epidemic.
