How (Not) to Renovate a Haunted House
The Lizzie Borden Ghost Ball
The video opens on a dark screen, broken up only by the face of a woman aglow from the night vision camera. She’s breathing heavily, and her face is twisted in fear.
“Oh my god,” she whispers. “Did you hear that?”
There’s a lump in the bed beside her in the shape of a person. She shakes their shoulder, and her companion responds with a groggy murmur. The woman’s eyes widen at the camera as silence settles over the room. Her cheeks puff out like she’s holding her breath.
There’s a beat of quiet that seems to extend into forever, until it’s broken by a rhythmic thump, thump, thump.
With shaking hands, the woman shifts the camera so it’s facing the wood floor below the bed. Thump, thump, thump. This time, it sounds distinctly like a bouncing ball. Yet nothing rolls by on the floor.
After one more round of thumps, the video cuts off.

I spent the night in the Knowlton room, guys, and the rumors about the ghost ball are real. This video is PROOF…

@ECraig13 I am booking my trip IMMEDIATELY. This is WILD.
@SGreene29 Even just watching this video I can sense the spirit’s presence.

@Theo_HarlowsRestHistoricalSociety.com This is incredible, GhostGirlie. This is exactly the kind of evidence I’m trying to capture on film in Harlow’s Rest, but so far the spirits don’t want to be perceived.

@NotThatAmity Any chance there’s a flag hanging off the house? Ours sounds exactly like a bouncing ball when the wind catches it.
@Theo_HarlowsRestHistoricalSociety.com The flag would have to be in the room @NotThatAmity for it to sound this clear and distinct.
@NotThatAmity Occam’s razor, friend. GhostGirlie probably has excellent sound editing equipment…
