CORSICAN:

Arcu di sera, tempu di spera - Literally, “rainbow in the evening means good weather the next day”, meaning that after rain always comes the rainbow.

Ciucciarella - A nickname for a little girl, not to be used as a pet name between lovers

Mammona - grand-mother

Patrimonio - A grape variety, that only grows in the region on Patrimonio, in Corsica (usually, red wine)

Picculina - little one (for a girl), affectionate between family members or friends, can be used as a pet name

U mu sole - my sun, used a pet name

Zia - Aunt

ITALIAN:

Carina - my dear

Fratello - brother

Fratellino - little brother

Luna Mia - my little moon

Zio - Uncle
