Chapter Ten

A few hours later,I glanced over a Saber, who had come to hang with me while I played on the instruments Bastian brought. He was shirtless and covered in splattered paint as he frowned at the canvas in front of him. Since we got back and Sky moved into his room, I’d offered to share my music room with him. This was our first time sharing it and he was distracting as hell. I couldn’t focus on music when he was so gorgeous and focused on his art. He refused to let me see what he was currently working on, wanting me to wait until he finished it even though I burned with curiosity.

I’d missed him lately. It seemed like forever ago when the two of us lounged in bed as I taught him how to play the ukulele. Ever since then, things had unfolded too fast to keep up with. And now there were five kindreds to spend time with. I was grateful four of them were already friends, family really. Hell, even lovers. It meant we were happy all being together, but I still needed to make time to spend with them one on one.

With a sigh, I set aside the guitar and tiptoed over to Saber. He smiled and set aside his paintbrush and palette, scooting the easel around so I couldn’t see it.

I smiled back and pressed against him, throwing my arms around his neck with such enthusiasm he stumbled back a few steps with a chuckle against my mouth.

I licked his lips, and he opened for me, tangling his tongue with mine until we were both shaky and breathless. We stumbled over to the small sofa and I ended up sprawled in his lap. I squirmed around until I straddled his waist, grinding on his hard length beneath me. He groaned into my mouth and I drank the sound like it was my favorite brandy.
