Chapter Thirty Three

I feel like I have lost count of the days again as I slowly pace the cell. Waking up the day after Jaiden told me what was really going on, I slowly started to change my routine. Instead of laying on the cot all day, I got up and slowly began to pace.

I would be useless in this fight if I was weak. I don’t know what I would be able to actually do if it came down to using my fists but something is better than nothing, surely.

After pacing for a while, I begin doing stretches. My limbs scream at me, protesting after not being used for so long.

Stretching soon turned into exercises I could do in such a confined area. Lunges, sit ups and star jumps.

As to not raise any suspicion, I ensured that there were times that I allowed myself to ‘break’. Jaiden informed me that I had to put a show on for the cameras.

Information in regards to when my Alphas planned on coming to save me was sparse. All I knew is that I had to be prepared. That it would become obvious to me when it was time .

I wake when I hear the first gunshots go off. It startles me enough that I shoot straight up in bed. The next few shots to go off have me flinching.

Yelling soon follows the shots as more continue to go off from above me.

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I stand up and begin to collect myself.

I feel it in the air. Almost like I can sense them.
