1. Killian
Our new neighbor was in trouble; I just knew it.
“What do you think he’s gotten himself into?” Finn, my partner in life and at work, asked me.
“I’m not sure yet, but I’m gonna figure it out.”
All I had was a name and a hunch, but I’d figured shit out on less.
We were at HQ, using the BCA—Brinnswick Central Agency—database. The BCA took care of all supernatural problems in Central Brinnswick, so we covered a large area. Finn and I had been agents for nearly a decade, and we’d been together almost as long. We’d been partnered together as soon as Finn got out of the academy, and the second I’d laid eyes on him, I’d known he was mine.
My witch magic had reacted to him, and his fae magic had reacted to me. We’d been drawn together, and neither one of us had fought the pull. He was mine, and I was his, and we loved each other deeply.
But even feeling that he was my viramore—my soulmate—we’d both known we weren’t complete. Not yet. There was a missing puzzle piece that we wanted to fill, and I had a feeling I knew exactly who’d fit with us perfectly.
If only I could figure out what he was hiding from.
“Anything?” Finn asked impatiently, sliding his cute ass onto my desk.
“No hits yet.” I sighed and rubbed my face, then gave my all-black cat—my Bonded familiar—a pet on his head. Viper was sleeping on the other side of my desk, seemingly unconcerned about everything around us, but I knew he’d wake in a millisecond and bite off the head of anyone who messed with us.
Finn reached over to give Viper a pet, and the little cat leaned into him, even in sleep. I loved how much my Bonded One and my viramore loved and trusted each other. Viper may’ve been my Bonded, but he was just as much Finn’s as he was mine.
“What if we reach out to one of the local dens and see if they know anything?” Finn suggested.
I grimaced. Talking to the vampire den leaders wasn’t always a pleasant experience. “What if he’s hiding from other vamps? I don’t want to alert them of his presence, just in case. At least not yet.”
“He’s gotta be getting blood from somewhere. Single vamps get help from local dens all the time for blood, even the ones just passing through.”
“True, but there are plenty of places he could go for a willing donor so he stays under the radar. I don’t think we should contact anyone yet.”
He sighed and rubbed his face with his hands. “I know you’re right, but this sucks. I just want to… knock on his door and tell him that we’ll protect him.” He looked at me, and I could see the concern and pain in his eyes. “We can’t let anything happen to him, Kill. We have to keep him safe.”
Reaching over, I rubbed his thigh. “We will. If we can’t find anything, we really might have to knock on his door.”
Finn met my gaze. “We should. I want to meet him. I want to know…”
“If he feels the same pull toward us?” I lifted a brow. We hadn’t exactly talked about it, but I knew him and his emotions better than my own. Our bond made it possible to feel his emotions in my chest, although it wasn’t as strong as it could be. I knew it would grow stronger once we found our third. But I still knew he’d been having similar thoughts.
“You feel it too?”
“Yeah, I do.”
He stared at me for a beat, then slid off my desk to his feet. “Then let’s go. No more waiting. We need to talk to him.”
I checked the computer screen one last time, then sighed and stood, giving my partner a nod. “Let’s go.”
I scooped Viper off the desk, much to his displeasure, and followed Finn out the door.
* * *
Finn knockedon the door for the third time, then turned to me. “What if he’s hurt?”
“Maybe he doesn’t want to answer to two total strangers,” I said with a shrug. Since Viper had yawned in my face when I’d asked if he wanted to come, I decided to leave him in our apartment while we went to talk to our neighbor.
The man had moved in a few days ago, and it was quite obvious that he was on the run, from his caginess to the fact that he’d only had one duffle bag when he’d moved in. Luckily, the place had come furnished, but I’d never seen anyone travel so light.
Maybe it was because of the pull we both felt, or maybe my witch magic and Finn’s fae magic had picked up on it, but neither of us had any doubt that he was in trouble.
“What are we going to do?”
Before I could respond, the door opened a crack, and I sucked in a breath when I felt my magic reach out toward him. I heard Finn do the same thing, and even though the vamp didn’t make a sound, he tensed and opened the door a little wider.
Finn’s magic felt earthy and familiar in a way that soothed and comforted me. But this little vampire’s magic felt… sharp and bright. Exciting.
I could only imagine what he was feeling from the two of us.
“Who are you?” he asked, staring at us with wide eyes.
“My name’s Killian Blackwater, and this is Finn Herlen. We live across the hall.”
His gaze moved back and forth between us before it hardened. “No. Who are you? What are you doing here?”
“I told you, I’m?—”
Finn cut me off. “We know you’re in trouble, and we want to help.”
Well, I supposed that was one way to do it.
The vamp tried to slam the door shut, but Finn put his booted foot in the way, using his fae magic to reinforce the movement. The vampire’s eyes went wide with fear, and he backed up quickly.
Vamps were fast, and I knew if we gave him the chance to run, he’d be gone in a flash and we’d never find him again.
So even though I didn’t want to hurt or scare him, I drew on my shadow magic and threw a shield around him. My magic’s power came from the shadows, so it was dark and probably looked creepy, but it wasn’t evil. No witch magic was inherently evil. Lucky for me, there were shadows everywhere, so it would be nearly impossible to run out of my power source, although my body could get tired after using too much magic. But a shield was no issue. I was used to holding them for hours at a time for work.
Which meant our little vamp wasn’t going anywhere.
Finn muttered, “Shit,” under his breath, and I didn’t blame him. We were scaring our poor hopefully-future-mate.
As we came inside and shut the door behind us, the vampire backed up to the farthest side of the shield, bouncing on his toes and looking like he was getting ready for a fight.
“We’re not here to hurt you,” I said.
“Could’ve fooled me.” He tapped on the shield. “Let me out.”
“No.” I cleared my throat. “We’re not going to hurt you, but we need you to listen to us. If I let you out, you’re going to run.”
His nostrils flared. “Let. Me. Out.”
Finn stepped in, saying, “We will. But please hear us out first.”
The vamp’s eyes went back and forth between us again before giving a single nod. Not like he had much of a choice with me trapping him like that.
Finn gave him a nod back. “We work for the BCA?—”
“I want nothing to do with your ridiculous organization.”
“I only said that so you’d know we can help you. Against anything that’s coming for you.”
“The BCA has never cared nor have they ever helped me before. Why should I think you’d help me now?”
“We’re not here as BCA agents, Torin. We’re here as your neighbors.”
“How do you know my name?”
I shrugged. “I asked the superintendent.”
He grunted and crossed his arms over his chest, glaring at us. “I don’t care why you’re here. Just let me go, and I’ll be out of your hair, okay? I’ll leave this place, and you’ll never have to worry about me again.”
A sharp pain pierced through my heart at his words, and when Finn started rubbing his own chest, I knew he could feel it as well.
Torin’s eyes narrowed as he rubbed his chest too. “What are you doing to me, witch? What spell is this?”
Stepping closer to the trapped vamp, I met his hazel eyes. “Can’t you feel it? You’re connected to us.”
“What spell did you put on me?”
“I didn’t put a spell on you, sweetheart.”
He blinked at me, and I saw his chest move with a shaky breath.
Finn stepped up beside me, placing his hand on the magical shield. He pressed his shoulder to mine, and I knew he wished the shield was down so he could reach out and touch our vampire too. “Do you feel it?” he asked.
The vampire glared for a moment before sighing and running a hand through his blond hair. “I feel something, but that doesn’t mean shit when you have me trapped.”
“Drop your shield.” Finn said it with force, and I blinked at him.
“He’ll run.”
“No, he won’t.”
I stared at him a moment longer before looking back at Torin, but the vamp was already staring into Finn’s eyes. I didn’t really think this was a great idea, but I’d do anything for my Finn. So with a breath and a wave of my hand, I let the shield drop.
Everyone was still for a moment, and I was surprised Torin hadn’t already run by the time Finn held his hand out.
Torin hesitated before sliding his hand into Finn’s. Both of them gasped, their eyes going wide. I watched in amazement as Finn’s magic surrounded Torin, and whatever vampire magic lived in Torin’s body came out to play.
Finn stepped closer to the vampire so they were almost chest to chest, and my mate whispered, “Do you feel it now?”
Torin nodded and swallowed thickly. “Wh-what is this?”
Finn smiled brightly. “You’re our viramore, Torin.”
“Our?” Torin finally moved his gaze from Finn to glance at me before refocusing on my fae. “B-both of you?”
Finn nodded. “Both of us.” He held his free hand out to me. “Come here, baby.”
I grabbed Finn’s outstretched hand and gave it a squeeze of appreciation. If I’d been handling this by myself, I surely would’ve scared Torin away… or kept him in that shield for so long he’d hate me. Thank the Mother of All I had my Finn.
I stepped up to the pair, and Torin eyed me warily.
Unsure of what else to do, I held my other hand out to the vampire. It only took a few seconds for him to make the decision and slide his hand into mine.
The second we were touching, we all gasped, and my witch magic exploded out of me in a harmless display of shadows, swirling around and mixing with Finn’s fae magic and Torin’s vampire.
“Holy shit,” Torin breathed out. “Wh-what is this?”
“You’re our viramore,” I said. “We’ve been searching for you for a long time.”
He stared me in the eyes. “You’re telling the truth. I-I can feel it. H-how can I feel it?”
“You’re our viramore, darling.” I sent him a soft smile. After all these years, Finn and I had really found our missing mate. Mother of All, I hadn’t thought we’d ever find him.
I could practically see the moment Torin accepted this as true. “Holy shit.”
I couldn’t help but laugh a bit, and I pulled Finn closer to me so I could kiss his temple. I wanted to do the same to Torin. I wanted to pull him into my chest and hold him for all I was worth. But it was way too soon for that.
“Y-you’re really my viramores?” He shook his head in amazement. “I didn’t even think the stories about viramores were true. I didn’t think I’d ever…”
Finn smiled softly at him. “I didn’t believe them either, not until I met Killian.”
“I always hoped it was true,” I admitted.
Finn sent me a fond smile before speaking to Torin. “You wouldn’t know by looking at him, but Killian’s a romantic at heart.”
I snorted but didn’t deny it because Finn had my number, and he knew it.
Torin suddenly swayed on his feet, and Finn was there to wrap an arm around him before he fell. “What’s wrong?”
The vampire shook his head. “Nothing.”
“Then why can you barely stand on your feet?” I asked, annoyed that he’d play it off. Supes healed quickly, so they didn’t sway like that unless there was something seriously wrong.
He stared at me for a long moment.
“You can be honest with us. We only want to help you,” Finn said quietly.
Torin sighed. “I haven’t fed in… a few days.”
My eyes widened. “A few days? Mother of All, darling, you need to feed every day.”
He shot me a lopsided grin and shrugged. “Couldn’t find a supplier.”
“Shit.” Finn shook his head. “Let’s sit on your couch, and you can feed from us.”
Torin’s eyebrows rose. “Both of you?”
Finn pulled Torin onto the couch beside him, then gestured for me to take a seat on the vamp’s other side as my fae said, “If Killian’s feeling even half as protective of you as I am right now, then he’s going to want you to feed from him too.” He tapped under Torin’s chin. “Now where do you want to bite me, love?”
Torin let out a strange sound that was sort of like a groan but also had a bit of that vampire hiss in it. “Wrist is fine.”
We didn’t know each other yet, so it made sense to go for the least personal spot. But now that Finn had put the idea in my head, I really wanted him to bite me on the neck. Or the thigh. Or… shit, I needed to stop picturing that before I wound up with a boner.
Finn held out his wrist, and Torin asked, “Are you sure you’re okay with this?”
“Yes. I want you to.”
They held each other’s gazes for a moment before Torin grabbed hold of Finn’s arm and quickly sank his fangs in. Finn flinched, but then a look of pure bliss crossed his face, and through our bond, I could feel how elated he was.
Finn scooted closer to Torin, wrapping an arm around his back, and he closed his eyes and let out a moan that went straight to my cock, making me squirm in my seat. I wanted to kiss him, but I didn’t think Torin would appreciate it if I leaned over him to reach my fae. So I held back and tried to keep my lust in check.
But the two of them looked lovely together, and I could practically picture them naked. All the pretty skin on display with Finn’s tight muscles and Torin’s small stature. Mother of All, that would be a sight.
All too soon, Torin pulled off Finn’s wrist, making my fae whimper. Torin eyed him for a moment before he licked up the rest of the blood on Finn’s wrist and let his saliva do its thing. Vampire saliva healed, so there would be no evidence of his bite.
“You okay?” Torin whispered.
Finn nodded, a pleased expression on his face similar to the one he wore after he orgasmed. Finn sent me a smile and a wink. I couldn’t help but smile back. My fae was so proud of himself for making us come here and getting Torin to trust us enough to drink from us already.
He should be proud. I wouldn’t have been able to get this far with Torin without him.
“My turn,” I said, scooting closer to Torin.
The vampire turned to me. “You sure?”
“Absolutely.” I held out my wrist, but he didn’t grab onto it.
“Wait.” Torin looked me in the eyes. “Before we do this, promise me you won’t trap me in a shield again.”
“I can’t do that.”
He glared, clearly getting pissed off at me again. “Why the hell not?”
“If you’re in danger, and the only way to protect you is to shield you, I’m going to do it. Whether you want me to or not.”
His glare didn’t let up. “Promise you won’t do it unless it’s an emergency.”
I leaned in close so my lips were nearly touching his and my breath ghosted over his skin. “I promise not to trap you unless it’s to protect you. Sorry, darling, but that’s as good as it’s going to get.”
He huffed. “Fine.” Then, without warning, he buried his fingers in my hair and tilted my head to the side, exposing my neck. He bit into it before I could respond.
It hurt, a stabbing pain piercing through me. But then he lifted his fangs a little to let the blood bubble out, and when he sucked, euphoria raced through my veins. A moan came out of my mouth, and Torin let out a soft groan of appreciation.
I grabbed onto him blindly. My eyes closed as I savored the sensation, and I reached out for Finn.
My sweet fae pressed his chest against our vampire’s back, his arms wrapping around him, hands grabbing my arms. I pulled our vampire closer to me until he was almost in my lap.
All too quickly, he pulled away and licked my skin, making me groan, but I still managed to say, “You didn’t take enough.”
Torin straightened to look at me, then surprised me by crashing his lips to mine. I groaned and kissed him back, opening up when his tongue sought entrance. I thought that the metallic taste of blood would be unpleasant, but Torin’s natural flavor overpowered it, and all I could think was more, I need more.
I grabbed him and pulled the smaller man onto my lap, then reached out to drag Finn closer.
Finn pressed into our sides, and after knocking my socks off with his kiss, Torin let go and immediately reached for Finn. My fae kissed our vampire back fiercely, and I watched the beautiful sight while my cock made a valiant effort to escape my pants. Mother of All, they were beautiful.
When they broke their kiss, Finn didn’t hesitate to capture my mouth with his. His kiss was familiar and easy but just as hot and soul-stirring as it’d always been. Our tongues danced with each other, and my poor cock started leaking and aching inside its confines.
“Fuck, you’re both gorgeous,” Torin breathed out.
Finn and I broke our kiss, staring at each other for a moment, and I said, “I love you.”
He smiled, warm and tender. “Love you too.” His smile turned to a smirk. “Ready?”
“Hell yeah.”
We turned to our vampire at the same time, and his eyes widened—in surprise, not fear. I captured his mouth, and Finn stood from the couch and moved behind our vamp, who still sat in my lap.
Finn reached for Torin’s shirt, pulling it up, and I broke the kiss so he could pull it off. Seeing all that exposed skin made me groan, and I started pressing kisses down Torin’s throat, across his collarbones, and down his chest.
Torin reached for my shirt, so I helped drag it over my head, then tossed it across the room. His hands roamed my chest and shoulders, and I heard his appreciative groan of pleasure. I worked out regularly for my job, and it showed. It pleased me that my new mate liked the way I looked.
“Da-amn.” Torin groaned before kissing me again and rutting against me.
I could feel how hard he was, his cock pressing against my stomach, and I really fucking wanted him naked. Right now. But I couldn’t stop kissing him long enough to make it happen.
Finn’s hands were running all over Torin’s exposed skin, his lips and tongue trailing across his neck and shoulders. My fae ran his hands through my hair and over my sides, making me shiver. Our vampire broke the kiss and leaned back with a sigh.
Finn pulled his own shirt off and threw it to the side, then pulled Torin’s body back to lean against him, skin to skin. My fae glanced at me, and I knew exactly what he was thinking.
So I cupped Torin’s face in my palms and said, “If this is as far as you want to go, if you just want to make out and leave our pants on, that’s completely fine. We don’t want to do anything to make you uncomfortable.”
“You’re not,” he breathed out.
Finn spoke into his ear. “If you want to go further than this, we’ll be happy to oblige. But it needs to be your decision, love. We don’t want you to have any regrets.”
Torin twisted to press a quick kiss to Finn’s lips and whispered, “I want you.” He glanced at me. “Both of you. Please don’t stop.”
“If you need us to stop at any time, we will?—”
Torin covered my mouth with his hand. “I know you will. I… I can feel how honest you both are. I don’t understand this thing, not completely, but I want it. Probably more than anything else I’ve ever wanted.”
Well, that was definitely good enough for me.
Finn yanked his pants off while I kissed Torin, and then my fae sat beside me and tugged Torin into his lap. I missed the weight of our new lover, but I quickly took my pants off, then I stood and moved behind our vampire while the two of them kissed and touched and lost themselves in each other.
Torin was in sweatpants, so I tugged them down and over his pert ass and didn’t hesitate to push his cheeks open and swipe my tongue over the pink flesh there. Our vampire moaned loudly, and I hummed, happy he enjoyed my ministrations.
Finn said, “We need to get his pants off, Kill. Now.”
I released my grip on his ass and stood, lifting Torin in the air.
“Are you two just going to keep manhandling me?” the vampire asked with a laugh as Finn yanked his pants off.
I chuckled. “Sure are. You got a problem with that?”
He smiled. “Nope.” He popped the P. “Just checking.”
I chuckled again, but it didn’t last because I set him back on Finn’s lap. After giving my fae a thorough kiss, I went back to playing with Torin’s ass so I could get him ready.
Finn started jacking Torin and asked me, “Kill? Do I get him first this time?”
“Yes. I want to watch.”
I could hear the smile in Finn’s voice when he said, “How does that sound, love? I’ll take you first and get you nice and ready for Killian? You think you can handle that?”
Torin groaned. “Yes. Please.”
Calling on my magic, I conjured some lube in my hand—a nice trick that one of my older brothers taught me when I was a teenager. I didn’t hesitate to push a finger inside our vamp.
He pushed his ass out, already eager for more, but I wanted to get him nice and ready and pliant, so I took my time. I used my other hand to spread lube on Finn’s cock, then kept it there to play with him too. Eventually, I added a second finger to Torin’s ass, then a third, and then I stood and lifted him enough for Finn to line himself up.
When I released him, I sat on the couch to watch my two beautiful mates together, stroking my cock slowly and spreading lube over it so I’d be ready for my turn.
The two of them were kissing again, and Finn was rubbing his hands all over Torin while our vampire bounced on his lap. The sight was gorgeous and more than I could’ve ever dreamed.
Finn and I had always known we were missing a partner, and a few times over the years, we’d tried to play with other people, but it had never felt like this. Never felt like anything more than a little fun.
But this was so much more than that with the way our magics were reaching for each other, with the way my soul was singing in my veins, ecstatic and excited that we’d finally found our third mate.
I wanted to claim this vampire, and I really fucking wanted to see Finn claim him.
And I wanted us both to be claimed in return too.
When they climaxed at the same time, I had to hold the base of my cock to keep from coming myself, not wanting to miss out on my chance to take our vampire’s ass.
It felt like something was building between us and all around us, and even though I couldn’t see it at the moment, I was pretty sure it was our magic, our souls, coming out to play.
I let the two of them kiss slowly for another minute before my patience ran dry. I gave Finn a long kiss, then pulled Torin off his lap and set a pillow on the floor. Then I put him on his knees on the pillow, facing the couch. He leaned heavily on the cushion as I moved behind him, lining myself up with his entrance.
“Are you ready for me?” I asked, moving the head of my dick over his sensitive hole.
He moaned.
“I need to hear you say it, darling.”
“Y-yes. Please.”
I pushed in to the hilt in one go, and he screamed out in pleasure. He was so wet for me, and knowing it was Finn’s cum inside made it even hotter.
I started moving slowly, not wanting this to be over too soon. I was determined to make Torin come again. It was torture of the sweetest kind, and I fucking lived for it. I fucked him like that until his cock started to harden again, and then I sped up, but only a hair. I wanted to make this last. I wanted to make it go on forever.
Finn was watching us with bright eyes, staring at where our bodies met as if he was watching the most interesting show he’d ever seen.
“It is the most interesting show I’ve ever seen,” he said, clearly overhearing my thoughts.
Viramores could communicate telepathically, and while Finn and I had been together for a long time, that was one skill we hadn’t developed well. We’d heard each other’s thoughts every now and then, and if we concentrated hard, we could speak, but it was never as easy as it should be.
But I had a feeling that was about to change with Torin here.
Torin had his cheek on the couch, facing Finn, so I wasn’t surprised when my fae moved closer to kiss our sweet vampire. Then Finn slid off the cushions so he was lying on the floor along the couch, and I moved myself and Torin’s hips back when I figured out what he was doing.
When Torin yelled out, I knew Finn had taken him into his mouth.
I started speeding up, my thrusts sending Torin deeper into Finn’s mouth, but I knew my fae could take it. He didn’t have a gag reflex, and he’d always liked having his face fucked.
I was so close, so damn close. But I’d be damned if I came before Torin. I sped my hips up again, and Torin cried out while Finn groaned appreciatively.
Torin’s body tensed, so I reached under and plucked his nipples, and after only two more thrusts, his body quivered and shook beneath me as he moaned loudly. His hole tightened around my cock, and I couldn’t hold back any longer.
I came with a roar, and the euphoria rushing through my veins nearly blinded me. The pleasure was almost overwhelming, and I was sure I’d blacked out for a moment there.
My magic swept out around all three of us. It only took a second for me to realize Finn and Torin’s magics were joining mine in a swirling dance that made our hair blow and a piece of paper float around the room.
Our magics were an extension of our souls, so I wasn’t surprised I could feel both of them so strongly in this moment. It felt like a thread formed between us, connecting us and bonding us together. The thread was thin and so very new, but it was strong. So strong I doubted anything or anyone would be able to break it. I had no doubt that it would grow stronger and stronger with time.
Finn moved out from under Torin, a look of astonishment on his face as he sat against the couch. I kissed Torin’s back before pulling out, sitting down, and tugging him on my lap. Finn scooted closer when I lifted my arm up in invitation, and we arranged our little vampire so he was resting on top of us both while all three of us watched in wonder as my black magic, Finn’s green, and Torin’s red continued to swirl around us.
I had a feeling this swirling magic thing was going to be happening a lot while we were still getting to know one another and forming our bond.
I wasn’t sure how long we sat like that, watching our magics, before they finally calmed. All three of us were sticky and tired—but very, very happy; I could feel elation coming through the newly-formed bond from both my viramores. My heart was full to bursting, and I absolutely wanted to keep cuddling together.
As if reading my mind, Torin said, “Let me go clean up in the bathroom, and… um, do you want to maybe… lay in bed together?”
I kissed his forehead. “That sounds wonderful, darling.” Truth be told, now that we were here, he was going to have a difficult time getting rid of us. I didn’t want him to leave my sight—even the bathroom seemed too far. But I wasn’t about to smother him either, so I kept that thought to myself—at least I hoped I kept it to myself.
He smiled up at me, pecked my lips, then climbed out of our laps.
When he shut the bathroom door, Finn managed to scoot closer and whispered, “I can’t believe we found him.”
“Me either, sweetheart.”
“I’m so fucking happy, Kill. So fucking happy.”
“So am I.” And I was determined to keep it that way.
Our little vampire might’ve distracted me with sex, but that didn’t mean I’d forgotten the reason we’d come over here in the first place.
He was in trouble, and Finn and I were here to help him.
We’d keep him safe no matter what.
