CORD
Velvet, huh? Where the fuck had Georgie been hiding this one? He must’ve been new because I would definitely remember if I’d seen him before. The guy was graceful and gorgeous but didn’t appear arrogant. A little sad maybe, but that wasn’t unreasonable. In his line of work, he probably had to deal with a lot of assholes, and that would make anyone sad.
There was a confidence to him I wasn’t used to seeing in the omegas that danced for me. He wasn’t playing coy or shy. He knew what he offered, and more importantly, he knew what I wanted. He held the cards in this interaction and he knew it.
He watched me like he was trying to figure me out. Carefully studying my every move while I studied him. Fuck, I wanted him. This was gonna be even better than I'd hoped.
I put a stack of cash on the table by the door and then leaned forward, getting close enough to kiss him.
No words were exchanged for several long moments. His coal-lined eyes took in whatever was written on my face. He didn’t beg, didn’t offer promises. He just stood there. He knew his worth.
The silence was heavy as I realized how badly I needed a boy like this. An omega to worship me the way only someone getting a fat wad of cash would and also know the value of the power he held. When I couldn’t resist any longer, I pulled him to my chest and inhaled the sweet scent emanating from his sweaty skin and his slick ass.
Fuck, he wanted me too.
My mouth covered his and I kissed him. I never kissed. In high school, I kissed a few guys here and there, but that was it. It just wasn’t something I wanted to do. But as soon as Velvet opened his mouth to me and groaned, I wanted it more than anything. Almost anything.
He did too. That was obvious in the way he kissed me back.
I forgot about the grimy room we were in and the power I was supposed to exert over the omega when he pressed his body all the way against me. If we were playing poker, I would have folded despite holding the winning cards. I yielded to this omega.
Velvet made an indistinct sound in the back of his throat as I slipped my hand into his hair and gripped him. “What do you want from me, alpha?”
Everything . I groaned against his mouth as my hands wandered to his ass, cupping his firm cheeks. “Distract me, sweetheart. I had a bad day that I want to forget about.” That last bit slipped out. That wasn’t a detail he needed to know, yet I didn’t stop it. He nodded in understanding, his eyes turning sympathetic.
When he reached for my zipper, a bolt of electricity shot right down my spine. Would I even last? The guy’s fingertips slid under my waistband, and despite their cool temperature, a warmth spread through me. I hadn’t felt my heart pump so fast in months. Maybe years. “Velvet…”
“Let me taste you.” His palm went under my shirt and up my chest as his lips brushed across my mouth. Then he started working his way back down.
I suddenly felt nervous about what I was about to do. A little voice in my head told me if I didn’t walk away, I'd do something stupid like fall in love with the omega. But there was no way I could just leave. Not with the way he was grinding his hard dick against my thigh.
Fuck, I needed him.
He pushed his hand inside my pants and gripped my cock. The sudden contact made me almost light-headed. It had been a while since I’d gotten off, but that wasn’t the reason for my response to his touch.
It was all about him. His touch was a testament to his name.
Velvet leaned down to take me into his mouth, and my fingers curled into his hair.
As much as I wanted to fuck into his face, I held him back to stop him. “Come home with me.” My voice was rougher than I expected.
He cocked his head, questioning me…and probably my sanity. His eyes were narrow as he pulled back like he was waiting for the punchline. “What?”
“I mean it.” I nodded and made the offer again, working to convince myself as much as him. I never shied away from the back rooms before. They were meant to be comfortable. The club was full service. Yet, I wanted to take this omega back to a place where I could take my time without the clock ticking in my ear. “Just for the night. After I fall asleep, my driver will take you anywhere you want to go.”
Velvet’s eyes went back and forth between mine as he did his best to read me. Finally they narrowed as if he decided. “How much?”
“Ten grand.” That was ridiculous and frivolous, but money meant nothing to me anymore. I had plenty of that. What I didn’t have was physical touch. I didn’t have Velvet. “I’ll be asleep before midnight.”
He nodded. Decision finalized. Deal reached. “I just need to grab my bag.”
Five minutes later, he was wearing a pair of tight black leggings in the back of my car, and we were speeding toward my family compound. A boy like Velvet didn't belong in my car or in my life. But here he was, sneaking glances at me as he probably questioned his life choices.
We didn’t speak at all until we pulled up to the house. When the door opened, I slipped out and held my hand up to Velvet.
He was slow to slide across the seat and drop outside next to me. “Is this your house?”
“Yeah.” I wrapped my hand around his back and held him to my side. “Davison, keep the car here. When Velvet is ready to leave, take him anywhere he wants to go.” I gave Velvet a squeeze and looked down at his face. “Unless you want to head out now?” I wasn’t stupid, nor was I a monster. The amount of cash I promised would not be easy for any working person to pass up, but I still offered the out.
He inhaled deeply and looked back at the house one more time before he shrugged. “I’m fine for now.”
The house was quiet when we entered. For as grand as the main entrance was, it was mostly for show. The entry hall had marble flooring and a grand chandelier hanging above us. The grand staircase to the second floor was all carved mahogany and red carpet. Obscene and ridiculous if you asked me, but it made an impression.
Velvet looked around, his eyes bored and his face a mask.
I gripped his hand and led him upstairs. We went straight up to my suite–a set of four rooms on the second floor that featured my massive bedroom, a sitting room, my private office, and a small kitchenette, which I never used except for the coffee machine.
Once the door snapped shut, Velvet took no time at all to kick off his slip-on shoes and peel off the leggings. His shirt landed next to them on the floor. He was back to wearing the short shorts he’d had on during his performance.
I licked my lips as I looked at him.
“Well? Care to do the rest? I can’t do all the work.” His lips curled into a smile, making his dark eyes brighten under my gaze.
I lifted him high enough that his legs closed around my waist as I carried him to my room and lowered him to the bed. The four-poster monstrosity was not my favorite feature of my room, but with Velvet in the center of it looking all sorts of delectable, I could see the appeal.
I hooked a finger under the waistband of his shorts and tugged. They didn’t remove easily since they were meant to be tight. Velvet wiggled enough to get the fabric to release its grip on his skin. Then he was naked before me.
“I trust you, alpha.” He shook his head as if he didn’t know where those words were coming from. “Prove me right.”
