Celeste gasps. “Why would you punish me?”

I growl as I set her sexy ass in the passenger seat of my SUV. I get in, squeezing the steering wheel way too tightly as I drive toward my house. “Why would I punish you, wife? How about because you scared the shit out of me? You disappeared. I thought you’d been kidnapped! I nearly lost my mind. I spent way too long combing the streets of Las Vegas for you before I found out you’d flown home of your own free will. I’ve called and messaged you countless times. I was going to fly back yesterday, but a storm rolled into Vegas, so all planes were grounded, including mine.”

The corner of her mouth quirks up. “Wow. Rich guy problems.”

“Don’t test me, Celeste. I’m hanging on to the last thread of my control.” We are home in minutes. I pull into the garage and go around to her side, quickly tossing her back over my shoulder. I walk inside and take her to my bedroom. I set her down on the bed, while I pace.

“Now, tiny goddess, we are going to have a very serious conversation. Why the fuck did you leave me?” I ask, trying to keep the hurt out of my voice.

She sighs, looking down at her hands. “I overheard someone on the phone calling me a gold digging slut and talking about you divorcing me. I couldn’t believe you would do that to me after everything you said. I mean, do you just go around marrying women then divorcing them?”

I smile. “No, sweetheart. There are no others. You are the first and last woman I’ve ever married. And there will be no divorce, now or ever. I told you, you are mine . I meant it. I will never let you go, Celeste. Never . By the way, here is your ring.” I slip it back on her finger, where it belongs.

“Had you stuck around a few minutes longer, you would have heard me firing my attorney and threatening him within an inch of his life for what he said about you. I hired a new attorney, who was more than happy to get my business and didn’t argue with my wishes. Everything I own is being put into both our names as we speak.”

Her jaw drops. “Why on earth would you do that, Nathan? That’s insane! I’m sure you are worth a few million dollars.”

“About a hundred times that, actually.”

“Three hundred million?” she says, gasping.

“Yes, sweetheart. You are now a very wealthy woman.”

“Holy shit!” She shakes her head. “Nathan, I don’t care about your money. I only want you.”

“I know. And that’s why I gave it to you. Regardless, I still need to punish you.”

“You are really going to punish me?”

“Oh, yes, sweetheart. I will punish you, then reward you.” My cock hardens painfully, anticipating what’s to come.
