From Titan to Temptation—Keaton Douglas on Life After Crestwood

By Kara Paige

June 10

Kara: Well, well, if it isn’t Keaton Douglas. Back from the dead. I’m actually surprised you agreed to this interview.

Keaton: smirks I missed you too, Paige.

Kara: That’s not what I said. You disappeared after the season ended—no press, no post-game interviews. Everyone wants to know: what happened?

Keaton: I took a break. Not illegal, is it?

Kara: Depends. Did you disappear alone?

Keaton: tilts his head That’s an interesting question.

Elodie: from off-camera It’s a nosy question.

Kara: eyes widening Elodie Winters. Should’ve guessed.

Elodie: smiling Just Elodie Douglas now.

Kara: Wait—what?

Keaton: smirks again Keep up, Paige. I know you’re looking at a gig for the Detroit Serpents, but still.

Kara: flips through notes There was no announcement, no pictures—when the hell did you two get married?

Elodie: Three weeks ago. It was private. No reporters, no cameras. Just us.

Keaton: And Vegas.

Kara: You got married in Vegas?

Keaton: What can I say? She bet on me. Smart girl.

Elodie: rolls eyes We did not get married in Vegas.

Keaton: And yet, here we are. Married and disgustingly happy.

Kara: sighs You were supposed to be the villain of this story.

Keaton: grinning I’m everyone’s villain, sweetheart. But I’m her problem now.

Elodie: deadpan Tell me about it.

Kara: Okay, fine. Marriage aside, the hockey world is buzzing with rumors that you’re skipping the draft. Want to comment?

Keaton: I make my own rules. Always have. Always will.

Elodie: He’s signing in Europe for a year.

Kara: blinking Seriously?

Keaton: What, no sarcastic comeback?

Kara: No, I’m just shocked someone finally got you to commit to something.

Elodie: smirks Oh, I have my ways.

Keaton: looking at Elodie with that look You really do, don’t you?

Kara: I hate this. You’re supposed to be an insufferable ass, and now you’re in love? This ruins my whole brand.

Keaton: grinning You’ll survive.

Kara: mutters Unbelievable. All right, last question. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Keaton: smirking Wouldn’t you like to know?

Elodie: laughing He’ll be wherever I am. That’s the only answer that matters.

Keaton: leans in Exactly.

Kara: Okay, gross. We’re done here.

Keaton: Pleasure’s all yours, Paige.

Elodie: dragging him away Come on, love of my life. Before she throws something at you. Which you deserve.

Kara: muttering under breath Crestwood men are the worst.

Saint: appearing out of nowhere Want me to hit him?

Keaton: laughing You can try, buddy.

Saint: Maybe later.

Kara: sighs I need a drink.
