My Millionaire Husband Faked His Death and Moved to Costa Rica (She Gets Revenge #5)
Prologue
Drew said till death do us part.
And then I discovered he faked his death.
Drew said I love you to me every single day of twelve years of marriage.
I believed my husband because I thought we were happy. He doted on me. We had a healthy sex life. We were trying for children. I thought I was the happiest woman in the world.
Two months ago, I buried my husband. Freak boating accident, no remains. “It happens,” they said.
Then I found out all our money was gone. House double-mortgaged. Millions of dollars just gone. My private investigator found all of it. Off-shore accounts. A luxury house in Costa Rica. A twenty-five-million-dollar life insurance policy with another woman’s name as the beneficiary.
I had no idea he had a mistress. There were never any of the tells – unexplained late nights, lipstick on his collar, him neglecting me.
So when I found that woman’s name on his life insurance policy, I did what any woman would do – I hired a private investigator.
Because if I didn’t know that about my husband, maybe there were other things, too.
Now, I’ve found them. I have the photos of her on my phone, right next to the surveillance shots of Drew — alive, relaxed, eating lunch in a shirt I bought him for his birthday. All timestamped. All admissible.
Next to where the bougainvillea spills over the neighbor’s wall, my private investigator is standing behind me. He’s ex-Army intelligence and has a body to die for.
My husband faked his death.
But now I’m standing at his door, at a house bought with money he stole from me.
And now I’m going to get revenge and he’s going to pay.
