Chapter Thirty-Six
Vex
Vaina Loca – Ozuna, Manuel Turizo
Her body is unreal. There is a sense of anticipation in every move she makes once I’m gone. I don’t wait for either of them to vacate the tub, knowing they’ll do as they’re told.
Sitting on the chaise lounge in the room, I wait for them, tapping my fingers patiently against my trousers. After satiating my intense hunger earlier, it’s easier to not appear like I’m uncouth.
Dulce is the first to come out, her thighs glistening with water as she makes her way toward me. Her eyes roam over my bare chest, and I love the way her expression is filled with awe. I’ve yet to clean her blood from it, unwilling to erase that part of our reunion. There’s something hedonistic within blood exchange and consumption.
Especially where she’s involved.
Raevar trails behind her, his hulking frame towering like the giant he is. It’s easy to see how he enraptured my mate. If you were ever concerned with being unprotected, he embodies that nature of someone who would destroy the world for you. Zero questions asked.
He’s a soft sage shade of green, brighter than pastel but not as saturated as blades of grass. Despite his slender waist, he has a strong and muscular upper body, with wide shoulders. Not as lithe as me, but not as large as all the Orukna I’ve met in my lifetime.
As our gazes connect, a cold sensation spreads across my body, triggered by the fear evident in his eyes. I don’t get cold, not unless I’ve abstained from blood consumption for too long. After taking from Dulce, I’m all warm and toasty. This response stems from a strong aversion to fear.
Rather than doing what I planned, I stand. My body hums the nearer our bodies get. Dulce turns to look at Raev, but my body blocks him. As I observe his physique, I admire his well-defined muscles that clearly reflect his hard work.
As I examine his chest, my gaze lingers on his semi-erect state, taking note of the marks. They’re the same color as the darker peach skin between Dulce’s thighs.
Our gazes meet, his throat bobbing with jumpy energy. I don’t hesitate to lean forward and ask the burning question inside me.
“Can I touch you, poppet?” My voice comes out a lot deeper than intended, almost sensual to even my own ears. We won’t be fucking. Like with Vera, a connection has only begun. And fostering that is of the utmost importance. His expression morphs, and instead of nerves, it’s full caution and wariness. His eyebrows dip and his forehead wrinkles as he offers a nod. “Words,” I demand.
“Y-yes,” he awkwardly stumbles.
A smirk plays at my lips, and I shake my head with humor fueling me. “You can call me Sir or Vex when we’re in a scene.”
His eyes dilate with the words as he licks his lips. Whether it was consciously or not, I trace the movement with apt attention.
“Tell me you understand.” I step closer, knowing Dulce is probably trying to see around me. This moment is for him and me, and to offer trust.
“I understand,” he murmurs quietly, and when I go to correct him, he quickly fixes it. “Sir.”
“Very good. Seems you’re a quick learner. Much better than my naughty dove over there,” I croon, noticing the shudder that runs through him with the honorifics. Like my little dove, he enjoys praise. “Can you give me a word that you’d like to use if anything we do is too much?”
His eyes trace me, as if committing this moment to memory. “Nomás,” he answers. Dulce snickers from behind me and luckily for them both, I know this phrase.
“No more is good,” I approve, closing the distance between our feet. Now we stand chest to chest and unlike I worried, he doesn’t pull away or flinch. “Are there things you’re not comfortable with trying?”
“I’ve never—” he pauses, running a hand through his wet hair. “—done anything like this.”
I nod approvingly. “Thank you for your honesty, poppet,” I appreciate openly, bringing my hand to touch his chin. His body shudders again at the contact, and there’s no denying the familiar way his skin feels against mine. “We’ll start out slow with our mate, and go from there.”
The moment our leaves my mouth, his eyes soften. She’s ours. His, mine, and Vera’s. There’s no denying the obvious, and no part of me has the desire to do so. Was it a rocky and wild start? Yes. Do I think we need to discuss his part in her disappearance? Yes. However, I’ve missed my dove, and they both seem to need this.
“Dove,” I coo, blindly reaching behind me. “Raevar wants to show you something.” His body freezes, his back stiffening. She comes around me, her eyes glancing at mine before meeting his.
He swallows again. Poor lad looks terrified. I try to ease that by trailing my hand down his throat and resting it against his chest.
Craning down to look at our girl, he leans into her. “You’re my mate.” Her head bobs, acknowledging something she’s already known. She may not realize what it means to Orukna, but there’s no denying the sparks that fly when they’re close.
He shakes his head, needing her to understand. Big palms grip her jaw, worshipping every inhale she takes. “You’re my fated, mi salvavidas.” She peers at me with a raised eyebrow, emotion cloying to surface. Then her hands settle on his chest, shaking, but purposeful. One covers mine, closing the connection.
“While I don’t know what a fated mate entails,” she whispered, her grin massive and enamored. “I know you’re mine too. Mi caballero.”
His chest rumbles with that, the softest but strongest purr vibrating against both of our hands. She squeaks as her body shakes and the scent of her arousal infiltrates my nose. It’s delectable, heady, and I know that tonight will be fun.
“Wait, there’s something else,” Raevar utters, closing his eyes and letting his hands fall from her face. It’s almost like he’s unable to look at her with his next admission. With both my hands, I trace Dulce’s jaw and throat, then hold her shoulders. Leaning in, I lay a chaste kiss on her pulse point.
“Don’t be too hard on him, love,” I tenderly request, nipping at her when she presses against my lips. She lets out a hum and jerkily nods her head.
Dulce reaches up his chest more, but with her being so short, she can’t even reach his jaw. “Go ahead,” she affectionately reassures.
His eyes finally open and an understanding passes through them and to me. “I’m the reason you’re here.”
Her confusion hits our bond, poking and prodding at the information I’ve locked away. I’ve had two weeks to come to terms and attempt to understand why he did what he did. Although I don’t approve of him depriving her of the ability to give consent to leave, I can comprehend the overwhelming need that compelled him.
“What do you mean?” she prods, her voice not as soft as before.
He leans down, then touches her chin. There’s so much worry there and I hope like hell she can forgive him.
“I kidnapped you,” he shamefully confesses, flinching when her hands drop from him. Annoyance, humor, and curiosity filter through our bond. The emotions weren’t as solid two hours ago before I bit her, but now they’re more prominent, persistent and clear.
“That’s...” she trails off, her hand rubbing her neck. “That makes a lot of sense, actually.” His gaze travels across her face, trying to detect emotions, and that tells me they’ve not completed their bond.
“Are you mad?”
I chuckle at the vexed noise that leaves Dulce. “I’m mad that I’m not mad,” she admits and turns toward me with a grimace. “I should be pissed.” The last part is whispered and it’s too hard to keep in my amusement.
Another laugh escapes me and I throw my head back at the pout in her expression. “This is hilarious.”
Raevar lets out a little rumble in my direction for laughing at his expense but our girl is understanding and kind. The fact that he worried is adorable to say the least.
“I feel like I should be angry that you stole me from Vex,” she explains, or rather, attempts to. “But I’m not,” she reiterates, turning back to him, beckoning with her finger for him to come closer.
Their lips meet and they both let out similar hoarse moans. When she pulls back, she turns to me and makes the same gesture. I raise an eyebrow, and like the brat she is, she stomps her foot with the demand. Knowing I’ll spank her for it later, our lips meet and I nearly buckle at the love she sends through our bond.
Her hands slide up my face, reaching for my horns. She knows what touching them does to me and instead of allowing her to make me fold quickly and get the orgasm she so desperately needs, I grip her wrists, forcing them at her sides.
She pulls away from me, her lips protruding in a pout. “Rude.”
Raevar laughs from behind her. Giving him a narrowed look, he slams his lips shut, but the blush covering his cheeks tells me he knows exactly who leads.
“If the result of me finding Raev and Vera is a result of him being a little sneak, I say it was well worth it,” she finally responds on a sigh. Then her eyes—mischievous things—peer into my own. “But I think he deserves a punishment.”
“Little dove is devious,” I praise, kissing her forehead before looking at Raevar. “You heard the brat. On the bed.”
His expression goes from amusement to a sultry kind of fear, more eagerness than anything. He doesn’t need me to tell him twice before he’s on the bed. It’s massive, and luckily, since he’s the biggest creature I’ve been near.
“What are you waiting for?” Dulce’s eyebrows raise in question, and I swat her arse. “Swotty little dove. You’re in trouble too. Remember our rule?” When she peers around the room, not realizing what I’m referring to, I reach between her thighs, cupping her cunt. “No orgasms where I can see them.”
“But I—” she starts to make excuses, not knowing I witnessed the way she writhed with Raevar in that field. Nipping at her throat, I lick the edge of her ear.
“I watched you fuck him, dove. Which means I saw you fall apart.”
“Fuck,” she hisses, a little whimper escaping her when another slap lands on her other cheek.
“Fuck, indeed.”
