CHAPTER 50
Aefre
Back in the strategy room, I pull up the schedule for the next few days’ events, my mind already dissecting the challenges ahead.
I glance at Ash’s profile on the holographic display. My Wild One . Perhaps I should send the Octopods a bottle of their favorite nectar as a token of my appreciation.
Kaelin enters. “High scores today.”
“People are talking. Bets are coming in. They think you’ve done the impossible, turning Wild One into a real contender.”
“She’s more than a contender,” I correct him. “She’s a champion. It was obvious she even enjoyed the crowd watching. She was born to be a show pet.”
“Yes. You had her under complete control and she adored it,” Kaelin says. “The Aria-7 female cried when her trainer made her orgasm.”
I flinch. “No one wants to see a human pet cry.”
“Unless you’re on a military vessel. They love to torture the poor things.”
I nod. “It’s true. Perhaps if they acquired pets through more established traders and not shady Dulu sellers, they’d have better pets to begin with.”
“Some trainers are complaining saying Ash should be disqualified because you bought her at a discount.”
I pause, a slow smile crossing my lips. Then I laugh. Kaelin joins in, and for a moment, the tension in the room dissolves into shared amusement.
“They can complain all they like. Ash was purchased from a legitimate seller.”
Kaelin nods. “I think a lot of people paid more than they ever have before for humans, given the new law and at that humans are harder to come by. So they’re jealous you got Ash for next to nothing and trained her in eight months.”
“What can I say? I know what I’m doing when it comes to human pets.”
“I was surprised you didn’t bring her to the galactic cock fixture? She must have been aching for it.”
“You know she doesn’t like that,” I say. “I dealt with her myself in one of the trainers’ rooms.”
“Ah,” Kaelin replies, and that one sound speaks volumes. He thinks I should have forced her instead of taking the pleasure myself.
“Her bond to me is still fragile.”
“You’re the expert. Now, I’ll leave you to your planning. Let me know if you need adjustments made.”
Kaelin leaves and I lean against the console, my gaze lingering on Ash’s profile. I recall the look she gave me after today’s performance, relief mingled with pride. She wants to prove herself. She wants my approval. And I want to give it to her. Finally, we’ve settled into a good trainer to pet dynamic.
The comm-line crackles to life. Ira’s face appears in holographic form above my desk, his razor-sharp grin all too familiar.
I incline my head in polite acknowledgment.
“Aefre,” he begins without any religious preamble, “I heard about Ash’s latest triumph. I trust this little success is due, at least in part, to my suggestion that you acquire a new human?”
My jaw tightens, but I keep my expression neutral. Ira has a knack for taking credit, whether it’s warranted or not. “Ash performed well today. She’s exceeding expectations.”
“You see?” Ira leans in. “I insisted you buy a fresh pet—something untamed. You had your doubts, but now look, she’s become the highlight of the circuit.” He sits up straight again, taking a sip of something from a black ceramic cup, as though our conversation is a casual toast to her brilliance.
“You did suggest I buy a new pet to replace Fifi,” I concede. “But my methods shaped her into the pet she is.”
Ira waves a hand and I suspect he’s drunk. “Of course, of course. Still, I’m pleased my little ‘nudge’ proved so… fruitful. Everyone loves a good success story, and yours is one of the best this season. Quite a return on investment, wouldn’t you say?”
“Most definitely,” I answer. “Ash’s rise benefits us all, especially you, considering your share in her winnings.”
“Precisely,” he says. “You’ll continue to keep me apprised of her progress? I wish I could have been there. Damn Agnorrians always causing trouble on the border.”
“I’ll keep you updated.”
He lingers a moment. “I want to see for myself the masterpiece we’ve cultivated and send over a holo of her masturbating, I’ve promised the crew. And Aefre, do let her know I’ll be watching.”
“I will,” I say, “Was there anything else?”
“That’s all, Aefre. Keep up the excellent work.” The comm-line flickers then his image dissolves in a swirl of static.
I exhale, rubbing a hand over my jaw. Ira has a knack for making me grit my teeth. Still, he’s right about one thing, Ash is shaping up to be quite the show pet. But, she is a testament to my training—not his.
I tell myself it doesn’t matter; I can let him gloat. When the final scores are tallied, I will be the one standing in the winner’s circle with Ash at my side.
My IC chimes. It’s Ira,
Send me the video of her.
I search my database for the best video of Ash masturbating. I realize I don’t have that many as she’s so new I rarely let her touch herself. But finally I find one and briefly watch it before sending it over.
In the video I hear myself saying, “Touch yourself, Ash.”
“You mean,” she says in accented Imperial. “I can rub myself here and you won’t punish me, Master?”
“Yes. I want to watch you.”
This human woman has such a hold on me.
I am never letting you go, Ash. You’ll be mine forever.
