Chapter 20

Twenty

My eyes flutter open, and for a moment, I’m disoriented. I’m no longer on the tour bus; instead, I find myself in an extravagant bedroom. The king-sized bed cradles me in sheets that feel like pure silk against my skin. The room itself is jaw-dropping gorgeous.

The white walls are adorned with beautiful paintings of mountains and valleys. Above me, a glittering chandelier hangs from the ceiling with dripping crystals. A wooden carved dresser and cabinet are against one wall, making this space feel like a royal room. On the opposite side of the room, an enormous window offers a breathtaking view of the sky. It’s as if we’re soaring through the clouds. It’s incredible. The air I breathe carries the scent of fresh flowers. A vast difference from the stifling tour bus.

I blink away the last bits of sleep clinging to my eyes and realize I’m wearing nothing but a bed sheet draped around me. My memories gradually come back—my morning with Reed. He’d promised that I would pass out with how hard he’d make me orgasm, and it seems that he delivered on that promise. The thought sends an excited shiver down my spine. How hungrily we came together, even when I tried to tell myself to leave his side.

Hearing voices outside the bedroom, I swing my legs over the edge of the bed and stand. The floor beneath my feet is cool, but the presence of faux fur rugs is like a fluffy cloud beneath me. I wrap the sheet tightly around my body and open the bedroom door.

An enormous hotel suite spreads out before me. There’s no doubt this is the penthouse. Large windows and a balcony have panoramic views of the city below. The sight takes my breath away. In the center of the room, there’s a circular white couch surrounding a faux fire feature that makes me want to sit there. It’s the kind of place fit for royalty and the opposite of what I’m used to.

My gaze wanders farther, and I spot a circular staircase in the distance. It leads to another level of the suite with more doors. A massive TV is mounted on the wall near the cabinet stocked with all kinds of drinks, telling me this place is designed for entertaining. The glittering chandelier, the small lion statues at the base of the staircase, the vases of flowers… this is so much and so beautiful.

That’s when my attention is drawn to Jasper. He’s in a conversation with a hotel staff member. They exchange handshakes, and I can’t help but notice Jasper discreetly slipping a substantial amount of money into the guy’s hand. The man smiles appreciatively and nods before hastily making his exit.

What was that all about?

Jasper’s grin widens as he approaches me, and it’s impossible to ignore the powerful presence he exudes. Every part of his stride, the movement of his shoulders, and the tightness of his jeans over that huge bulge demands my attention. His eyes lock onto mine like a predator sizing up its prey, and I can’t help but feel a rush of excitement. Things between us have escalated to the point where I get exhilarated every time I see him, adoring the way he stares at me like I’m his world. And I love that feeling he brings out in me.

“You’re awake, my little mouse,” he declares in a playful tone. “Reed carried you up here while you were asleep. Isn’t that nice of him?”

I’m not sure if I should be horrified or embarrassed to death that people in the hotel saw me in that state. I chuckle at his comment.

“Well, I definitely like my room,” I reply, looking around the rest of the penthouse. “But I’m wondering where my clothes are.”

Jasper’s grin remains, and he moves closer, brushing a strand of hair from my face.

“My beautiful mouse, that’s actually our room,” he reveals. “But how about you go have a shower? We have to head to the stadium for practice runs.”

“Wait, so I don’t get my own room?” I ask, glancing up at the numerous doors on the upper level.

He gestures toward the staircase with a lift of his chin. “There are only three bedrooms in this penthouse, so you’ll have to bunk up with us. My room is yours, okay?”

I blink at his overly wide smile. “Only three? But this place is massive. What are those other rooms for?”

“All kinds of things.” Jasper shrugs nonchalantly, nudging me back into his room and pointing to an en suite door I completely missed earlier. “A gaming room, a cinema room, a gym. Normal stuff.”

I chuckle at his definition of normal in this lavish setting. He seems eager for me to join him in his room, and I can’t help but wonder what he’s up to.

“Your clothes are already in my wardrobe.” His enthusiasm is admirable as he guides me toward the en suite door, and my head is spinning with questions, but I agree to go ahead and have a shower first.

I’m greeted by a luxurious space that feels like heaven. The shower is elaborate and made of what looks like pearl-white tiles, with enough room for five people under the two shower heads. The warm water cascades over me, washing away the uncertainty from earlier.

After a refreshing shower, I step out, feeling rejuvenated and ready to face the day. My clothes are neatly arranged in Jasper’s wardrobe, and I quickly get dressed in a simple blue dress with long sleeves and a tight bodice. The day looks warm outside, so I opt for sandals.

Next, I quickly swallow one of the suppressant pills Seth got me to tame my scent, though I know it won’t settle my arousal… that was obvious the last time I took one.

As I step into the living area of the penthouse, I’m met with an eerie silence. It appears that everyone has left.

I call out, “Jasper?”

No response. Deciding to do a quick check, I remember Jasper’s earlier explanation that there are only three bedrooms in the penthouse. Which I find difficult to believe.

I rush upstairs. Each room on the upper level is filled with various items and furnishings that seem out of place. For instance, there’s a fully equipped gym, but some of the rooms appear to have random pieces of furniture, like just a dining table and chairs. It’s puzzling why such a setup exists when there’s a larger dining area downstairs.

Narrowing my eyes, suspicion begins to creep in. Did Jasper intentionally arrange for these rooms to be changed? Did he tip the hotel staff to set things up this way, ensuring that I would be forced to share his room? That sneaky dick! It certainly feels like a setup, and I can’t help but smile at his tricks to get me to sleep in his bed.

Jasper returns to the penthouse, a bulging brown paper bag in hand, accompanied by his ever-charming smile. Despite my suspicions about his motives, I’m captivated by his grin and the genuine care he’s shown me.

“Got you some goodies for the trip,” he announces cheerfully. “The other two are downstairs in the car, waiting for us.”

“Okay, perfect. I’m ready,” I reply, grateful for the snacks. I eye him curiously, knowing there’s something more to his actions. “What’s going on?” I ask. “You’re looking at me like you’re up to something.”

“Got you a treat.” He hands me the brown paper bag, and I eagerly take it, opening it up to smell the most divine pastries. I’m practically drooling.

“I know what you did in the penthouse,” I tease.

He chuckles, clearly enjoying the playful banter. “Don’t have a clue what you’re talking about,” he replies, his smirking expression giving him away.

I laugh, unable to resist. “Sure you don’t, Mr. Trickster.”

As we step into the elevator, the sweet aroma of pastries tempts my senses further.

“How else was I going to get you in my bed?” he asks with a mischievous glint in his eye.

“Um, by asking?” I suggest, fluttering my eyelashes at him.

“Nah.” He shakes his head. “Not if you had your own room. This is better because now we have all the amenities in the penthouse.”

“Yeah, like two dining tables?”

He laughs heartily as the elevator doors open, and we exit. “I ran out of decorating ideas,” he admits with a grin.

We walk through a side door, avoiding the prying eyes of a young couple who had recognized Jasper, their hushed excitement clearly audible. The hotel staff member quickly closes the door behind us, and we make our way downstairs to an underground garage, where a sleek black limo awaits.

“Wow, that’s fancy,” I comment, impressed.

“Nothing but the best,” Jasper replies proudly as we approach the limo. We step inside, and I sit on one of the long side seats against the side windows, with Reed across from me and Seth lounging at the rear, his arms stretched out over the back of the seat. Jasper takes a seat near me. It reminds me of those party limousines you can rent. It’s just missing a disco ball.

The powerful scents of the Alphas engulf me instantly, sending an electric jolt through me. My nipples harden without pause, my insides heating up like the scent of them all together in such close proximity has my body preparing for them. Except someone should tell my libido to cool it with instant lust. A wave of dizziness comes over me, and I’m on the verge of swooning from the overwhelming sensations.

“Now, this is the way to travel,” I remark breathlessly, feeling a bit nervous with all their eyes on me. My gaze keeps dipping to Reed, my cheeks flushing at remembering how we woke up and where that led. The atmosphere in the limo grows thick.

As I make myself comfortable in the plush seat, my attention is drawn to Reed, who’s staring at me with something dark yet amusing in his emerald gaze. It’s as if he has something to ask me, and in all honesty, I’m scared to hear it.

Seth is looking at us, grinning mischievously. Does he know what happened with Reed and me on the bus? Did Reed tell him? My cheeks are burning up to think what Reed told him about me sneaking into his bed to play with his dick.

Jasper’s next to me, staring at me, too, with that same stupid grin. God, he knows, too, doesn’t he?

Reed

Ifind myself utterly captivated by Danica as she indulges in the chocolate croissant from her paper bag. Every subtle movement, every bite, it’s as if time slows down just for her. My gaze traces every inch of her as she takes another crunchy bite.

The aroma of the freshly baked pastry fills the air, mixing with the soft smell of her skin with her lavender and mandarin Omega scent. As she takes a delicate bite, a small, satisfied moan escapes her lips.

A fire’s erupting inside of me the longer I stare at her, remembering what it felt like to be buried deep inside her sweet pussy.

Crumbs from the croissant fall onto her top, some catching in the long strands of her white-blonde hair. My gaze locks onto those offerings as if they hold some kind of irresistible calling. Following the path of the crumbs, I watch as they cling to the corners of her mouth.

Danica’s tongue darts out, a slow and deliberate sweep, capturing those stray crumbs. It’s a simple, everyday act, but the way she does it is undeniably sensual. My breath hitches, and the heat in the limo is rising.

I promised myself that I would maintain my distance from Danica, but it’s proving to be an impossible task. Especially seeing the simple act of her eating in front of me has me rock hard in my pants.

Seth’s sly grin doesn’t go unnoticed. I can practically hear his silent teasing. The knowing look in his eyes adds to my growing tension at how I can’t control my feelings.

Shifting uneasily in my seat, I try to regain my composure. I remind myself that we have a packed schedule ahead, including rehearsals and concerts. But none of that matters when it comes to how hungry I feel for her, how quickly my breaths are speeding up, how my mind’s conjuring images of her naked and me fucking her every position in the Kama Sutra.

A growing desire stretches inside me, a longing that’s messing with my head.

Jasper’s grin widens as he leans in closer to Danica. “You’re doing a fine job of killing me today,” he purrs, his eyes locked onto her as she takes another bite of the pastry. Crumbs cascade onto her top and nestle in the corners of her mouth, and it’s a sight that leaves me spellbound.

“Oh, really?” she asks innocently, as if she doesn’t know what impact she has on us. I doubt that very much by the tiny grin on her face.

Jasper’s breath catches. “First, you were teasing me to hell and back with your handy work on Reed this morning, and now you’re teasing us with the way you’re eating that croissant. You’re doing it on purpose, little mouse, aren’t you?” Jasper’s voice drips with teasing. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, as if trying to contain his drooling. “I can tell you that it’s working…”

“Wait… are you serious?” She finishes off her pastry with the final bit popped into her mouth.

Seth, sitting in the back, can’t help but groan under his breath, his gaze locked on Danica’s lips.

She blinks, staring at each of us, then pausing on Jasper. “You were spying on Reed and me this morning?”

Jasper raises an eyebrow in a semi-defensive manner. “Technically, Seth and I walked in on you both sleeping when we went to wake up Reed,” he explains with a cheeky smirk, as if implying we weren’t the ones who were surprised by her presence.

I chuckle because that’s so like Jasper to walk into any of our rooms, even when we have girls with us.

Danica’s gaze shifts to Seth, who wears an unabashed smirk and shrugs nonchalantly, clearly unapologetic for their intrusion. He surprises me, appearing more impressed than anything by the revelation.

“There’s nothing private between you three, is there?” she asks, brushing the crumbs off her chest, and my gaze is locked on the slight jiggle of her breasts each time she flicks the back of her fingers over them. She’s going to ruin me.

“Not when you sneak into my bedroom most mornings, using my body like a toy.”

Those intense eyes are daggers, driving into me, and I love seeing her hatred toward me. It warms my cock.

“Bruh, what the hell are you complaining about? That you were getting the world’s best handjob?” Jasper blurts.

“God, can we stop talking about this?” she murmurs, her cheeks so beautiful and rosy. Much like when I was fucking her… damn gorgeous. “I have a sleepwalking problem. We all know it now. So, I will make sure never to end up in your bed again. Don’t worry,” she says directly toward me.

I grin at her with a sarcastic chuckle because, of course, I don’t believe she can do it.

She straightens, glaring at me, and it’s laughable because the thing is, she’s too good for me. Her beauty leaves me sleepless most nights, but my mind’s not right. It’s so fucking broken, I remind myself why I should keep my distance.

After a long day of meetings with the team and Wing Music, discussing the logistics of our upcoming concert, we concluded it was best for Danica to stay in a hotel for her own safety and peace of mind, at least for the first day or so until everything is set up. She agreed, albeit reluctantly with clear disappointment in her eyes.

It broke me as I’d prefer to have her by my side, but during these meetings, she’d be bored out of her mind.

The three of us are now back at the penthouse, and I stretch my back, feeling the strain of the day’s tensions. Heading to the bar in our place, I decide a scotch on the rocks is in order. Seth’s already there, giving me a look that clearly says he wouldn’t mind one himself.

“Planning on just watching me drink, or you gonna growl for one too?” I tease, pouring the amber liquid over the clinking ice for him too.

Seth chuckles, the tension of the day momentarily forgotten. “Make it a double for me, then.”

“Okay, who the hell took all my clothes and bedsheets from my room?” Reed bellows from his doorway, his gaze darting between me and Seth. “It’s you, isn’t it, Jasper? Is this some kind of prank? Because you know I’ll rip you a new one if we”re starting a prank war.”

I take a sip of my scotch, studying him with amusement. “What the fuck are you talking about?”

Seth and I meander over to his room, only to find it almost bare of clothes and bedsheets, a sight that sends me into a fit of laughter. “What, did a fan sneak in and make off with your wardrobe?”

Meanwhile, Seth checks his own room, only to find a similar scene. “All my stuff”s gone too,” he calls out, sounding slightly concerned.

With a growing sense of unease, I head to my room, the humor of the situation quickly fading. “Danica?” I call out. We haven’t seen her since walking into the penthouse. My mind races with possibilities, none of them good.

As I push open the door to my room, the sight that greets me stops me in my tracks. There, amidst a makeshift nest of our clothes and bedsheets, lies Danica. She’s curled up, fast asleep, the exhaustion and stress of the past days etched on her peaceful face. The sight is so unexpectedly tender, so vulnerable, that my heart aches.

Reed and Seth join me, and any irritation at the missing items evaporates at the sight of her. We exchange glances.

“She’s starting to nest,” I say softly. “The climax of her heat is not far then.”

They both nod, yet their sights are on our Omega, wrapped up in our clothes, bedsheets, and our scents. She’s breathing heavily as if she can’t get enough… it’s only when she shifts slightly, that her bare shoulder is revealed. She’s sleeping naked under there, and my cock’s already thumping with an urgency to join her.

As we stand in the doorway of my room, I note that this, right here, is what it’s all about. Protecting her, giving her everything she needs. It”s become a shared bond, one that ties us together in ways I never anticipated.

“I’m going to join her,” I murmur, the protective instinct within me flaring up at the sight of her curled up among our stuff.

Reed shoots me a look, disbelief etched on his face. “What the hell for?” he hisses, his usual composure slipping.

“Have you suddenly become a monk, Reed? Because last I checked, you two weren’t exactly keeping it platonic. Or are you going to deny the pull you feel toward her?” I shoot back, a hint of challenge in my tone.

“Maybe we let her sleep,” Seth interjects.

“You too?” I retort, frustration creeping into my words. “What the hell?”

“Not for Reed’s reason, where he’s afraid to admit his feelings,” Seth’s response is calm.

“Fuck you,” Reed growls.

Seth continues, unfazed, “But because she looks so peaceful right now. When nesting, her body’s going through changes, preparing for her full-blown heat. She needs her rest.”

I let out a snarl under my breath, my frustration at being out-argued by common sense bubbling to the surface. “I hate your fucking logic,” I mutter, watching as the other two make their way out of the room, leaving me alone with Danica.

As I throw myself onto the stripped bed, my gaze is drawn to her, nestled in the corner on a makeshift mountain of our clothes and sheets. The sound of her steady breathing fills the room, a comforting rhythm in the silence. Studying her in this vulnerable state, a sense of awe washes over me. Her beauty, even in sleep, is undeniable—each breath she takes, each subtle movement, only serves to deepen my admiration.

That protective instinct within me roars to life, stronger than ever before. Seeing her so exposed, so reliant on our care, ignites a fierce determination in me. I realize in this quiet moment, that my feelings for Danica have deepened beyond mere attraction. She’s become a vital part of my world, someone I would stand against an army to protect. Someone that I will burn for… and she will burn in exchange for me.

Her presence, her innocence, it all calls to something primal inside me, a need to shield, to safeguard. I’m struck by the realization that I’m irrevocably, undeniably falling in love with her. And in this moment, with the weight of my growing emotions pressing down on me, I vow to myself that I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her forever. Whatever the sacrifice, I’ll make it for her.
