Chapter 30

Thirty

Waking up with a smile is new for me, but it’s there, bright and undeniable, after a long, deep sleep. But it’s more than that. The uncertainty that once clouded my thoughts about Reed, Jasper, and Seth has cleared, leaving behind just their love, me being cherished, of belonging in a way I never imagined possible.

Rolling over onto my back, I expect to find Reed’s familiar warm body next to me, but it’s Jasper who greets me. He’s made it a point, somewhat possessively, that I spend my nights in his bed, except for the nights Seth stakes his claim first.

“Morning, little mouse,” Jasper purrs, his posture relaxed, an arm propping up his head as he watches me with an affectionate gaze. The guy is drop-dead gorgeous, and waking up to his smile is heaven. “You didn’t vanish from my room this morning. That’s a beautiful surprise. You know what this means?”

Blinking the sleep from my eyes, I muster a confused, “What’s that?”

His grin widens. “That you’ve found where you belong. That you’ve made your connection to Reed by you both lowering your guard.” He pauses for a moment, studying my face for a reaction, but I’m still processing it all myself. “And it means you are mine in the mornings from now on.”

Before I can respond and let it all sink in—how my mind is working, how for so long it had me sleepwalking into Reed’s room—Jasper’s pulling me into an embrace, his fingers playfully tickling my sides. I erupt into laughter, the sound filling the room.

Yesterday’s rescue, the fear and chaos we faced, seems a world away. We spent the rest of yesterday in the penthouse, recuperating with food and old movies. It was a much-needed reprieve, a chance to breathe.

Now, invigorated by a night’s rest and Jasper’s infectious energy, I lean in and kiss him all over his face. I can’t get enough of our bodies pressed tightly close, how his mouth is on my neck, driving me insane so quickly.

A knock at the door cuts through the moment.

“Really?” comes Jasper’s instant response. “It’s too early. Go away.”

“Get your butts out here. You’ve got to see this,” Seth announces.

His words aren’t exactly playful, and with a puzzled glance exchanged with Jasper, I scramble out of bed before he starts tickling me again.

“Hey, don’t leave,” he whines with a puppy dog expression.

“Let’s go and see what’s going on.” I reach for my robe draped over the chaise lounge. As I wrap myself in its soft embrace, Jasper makes a show of unveiling himself, flipping the blankets off himself, an open invitation to his huge, erect cock waiting for me.

Damn, he’s so big.

My thighs tremble at the memory of how sexy he feels buried deep inside me and how he’s offering me every delight, all the orgasms.

He beckons me back with a curl of his finger. My knees are close to buckling, so I fall back into bed with him. Despite my heat having mostly passed for now, the connection I have with my Alphas has only intensified. The primal hunger between us remains, my body responding so quickly, I already feel wetness trickling down my inner thighs.

I’m amazed by how an Omega’s body responds to Alphas, not to mention no one at the Omega school ever told us there would be so much wetness, so much slick produced by our bodies.

“Seth just wants you for himself,” Jasper states, reaching down to grope his massive cock. “Now, get your ass back here. Goliath misses you.”

Suddenly, the door opens, and Seth’s there, rolling his eyes as his gaze lands on Jasper. “Man, put that away. And get your ass out of bed.” He isn’t exactly asking nicely, so something else is happening.

Seth meets my gaze and blows me a kiss. “Morning, sweetheart.”

Just then, the penthouse doorbell rings, and as Seth hurries away to answer it, he throws over his shoulder, “Gorgeous, can you go get Reed, too, please?”

“Sure thing,” I answer while Jasper groans.

“This better be for a damn good reason, Seth,” he calls out, grumpily pushing out of bed, which has me laughing at him. His obsession with me sends a thrill through me.

As I tighten the robe around myself, Jasper grabs his and drags it on.

“Little Mouse, this isn’t even close to being over. I need my morning fix of you.”

“What have you been doing all these mornings when you don’t wake up with me in your bed?”

“Crying my heart out,” he answers deftly with a grin.

I laugh out loud. “Sure, you have.”

With a slap to my ass, he makes a beeline for the doorway, where Seth is accepting a tray of coffee and an assortment of pastries.

“God, I’m starving,” I groan, my stomach seconding the motion with a grumble. The aroma of coffee teases me, but I make a quick beeline for Reed’s room.

It’s the first morning since moving in with the pack that I haven’t woken up by his side, and I’m curious, maybe even a little anxious, about how he’s doing.

I enter his room quietly. He’s sprawled out on his stomach, the sheets a tangled mess around his waist, exposing the expanse of his tattooed back. The sight steals my breath away. The guy is made of lines of muscles, and to see the sheets just revealing the top of his tight ass has me grinning.

Stepping closer to the side of the bed closest to him, I reach out to gently wake him, my fingers barely brushing his shoulder. In an instant, his eyes snap open, and before I can react, I’m pulled down beside him, his arms encircling me in a protective embrace.

I yelp from how fast he moves as though he’s been waiting for my arrival, and him lying there all sexily was a trap to lure me to him.

“You’re coming a bit late to my room, aren’t you?” he whispers, his breath warm against my ear, sending delicious shivers down my spine.

“Did you miss me?” I tease, trying to lighten the mood, despite the pounding of my heart.

“You have no idea,” he murmurs. “It’s hard waking up alone, not having you there to hold. So, what, now that I’ve said I love you, you’re going to stop surprising me in the mornings?” He grinds his hips forward, his huge cock nestling against my ass. If I wasn’t wearing a robe, I’m convinced he’d already be pushing himself between my thighs to get inside me.

My body trembles with a hungry need at the promise of him fucking me. All while I’m lying with my back to him, and he’s spooning me. Did I mention one of my absolute favorite things to do is to be snuggled by these huge Alphas?

His words tug at something deep within me, and I turn my head to face him.

“Oh, Reed,” I sigh. “Just because we’ve finally admitted how we feel doesn’t mean I’ll stop being full of surprises. You have no idea what I have in store for you,” I tease.

He throws a leg over mine, pinning me in place, locked in his arms.

“Show me,” he challenges.

Giggling, I wriggle against him to escape. “As tempting as it is to stay here with you…” I start, my resolve beginning to waver as his hand slides under my robe, snaking up my thigh.

“You’re not leaving me,” he whispers in my ear.

Just as I’m about to give in to the temptation of the way his fingers are pressing between my inner thighs for access, I remember Seth’s earlier interruption.

“I want everything you’re offering,” I gasp as he pushes a finger between my folds. “But Seth wants to show us something,” I manage to say, though my voice is thick with desire. “He got coffee and pastries.”

Reed contemplates the choice for a moment, making a humming sound.

“Pastries or your sweet pussy? Tough choice, but I suppose the pastries can wait a little longer.”

He circles my clit, and I cry out at how quickly he undoes me.

A bang comes at our door. “Fuck, Reed, get your ass out here. Don’t make me come in there to rip her away from you,” Seth bellows from the living room, clearly having heard my cry for more.

“Fuck you,” Reed yells back.

I use that moment of distraction to extract myself from his hold, pulling free and scrambling to my feet. Turning around, my legs are jelly from the arousal he’s ignited. He’s still lying in bed, his finger that was seconds earlier on my pussy, now in his mouth. He studies me as he sucks on it with seduction in his gaze.

The temptation to just jump back into his bed is devastatingly hard.

“Stop teasing me,” I say and hurl a pillow at him before pulling my robe around myself.

“This is all you,” he insists. “You’ve come to my room every morning, your hand or sweet mouth on my cock, making me come. And now you’re just taking that away from me. That’s brutal, Danica. Savage.”

I howl with laughter at his over-exaggeration. “Come on, get out of bed, and we’ll have to see what we can do to fix things afterward.”

“You bet that’s going to happen.” He gets out of bed, then grabs his sweatpants and climbs into them. My gaze hovers over his huge erection and all the pleasure it promises me. Slipping his hand in mine, we emerge into the main room.

Jasper’s already shoveling down the pastries. Seth puts down a coffee he’d been sipping and calls us over with a tilt of his chin to the couch.

Seth grabs my hand and draws me to sit next to him on the couch, then lays a hand on my thigh. Jasper gives me a chocolate croissant while Reed’s stationed on my other side.

“So, what’s going on?” Reed’s voice cuts through the morning silence, but his question is left hanging in the air as Seth switches on the television on the wall in front of us.

Instantly, we are greeted by the chaos of yesterday’s sports field turned into a party zone. The bold headline underneath the footage reads Seth’s Surprise Reveal of his Mystery Hooded Girl.

Then the screen jumps over to images of me sitting in the backseat, on Reed’s and Jasper’s laps, my face clear as day, giving no one any doubt that it’s me.

“Fuck!” I cringe, staring at myself. Of course, I knew this would happen. I saw the camera flash in my face, but seeing it broadcast so quickly on air, not to mention on one of the most popular entertainment news programs, I’m starting to feel sick to my stomach.

We all sit in stunned silence as the entertainment news rolls footage of the event that’s now apparently the talk of the city. The reporter’s voice suggests that the whole spectacle was orchestrated by Seth to unveil me, not to mention that Seth seems content to share me with his band members.

I curl up tighter, wishing I could shield myself from the prying eyes obsessed with Fever.

Seth’s arm tightens around me. “It’s going to be okay,” he reassures me. “I’ve already contacted my lawyer this morning to contact Nexus and register you as our Omega. They can never hurt you again.”

“Really?” I blink at him, tears in my eyes, my throat thick with emotions. “You did that already? Is it going to work, seeing I was their prisoner?”

He nods. “I’m sure of it. I’ve got my lawyers on top of it to ensure that Nexus can’t use any loopholes to claim you back. As long as we can prove that we claimed you, that we are suitable Alphas, that you are no longer alone, they shouldn’t be able to touch you. And fuck them, but the three of us will fight them in court if that’s what it comes down to proving we claimed you as ours.”

I’m crying now, unable to believe how much they’ll fight for me.

“I wasn’t joking when I said you’re ours and that we’re no longer hiding.”

Hugging him, I might have sobbed a bit from the overwhelming emotions at the reality of everything happening so fast.

“It’s everything I wanted,” I murmur between sniffles.

Reed has his hand on my back, stroking me, while Seth kisses my brow.

“And… and what about your contract with Wing Music?” I ask as a flush of panic comes over me. “They’re going to sue you?”

He shrugs. “I’ve already started conversations with my lawyer on this, so she knows what’s potentially coming our way. But whatever it takes, we’ll face it together. I can’t keep hiding in the shadows for years until the contract ends.”

“Fuck that,” Jasper adds. “It’s long overdue that we break that damn contract.”

“Couldn’t agree more,” Reed murmurs. “Fuck Wing Music’s contract.”

I glance at all three of my Alphas, realizing the lengths they’d go to for me. I’m in complete awe.

As if on cue, Seth’s phone suddenly rings, and I can’t help but flinch at the sound. Seth, unfazed, glances at the caller ID and lets out a dry chuckle.

“Speak of the devils,” he mutters under his breath. He’s on his feet, phone in hand, and answers with a casual, “Rick, just the man I wanted to speak with.” He begins to pace the length of the penthouse. Seth is a man who thinks on his feet—quite literally.

My stomach churns uncomfortably at him talking to Wing Music.

I lean into Reed’s side, drawing strength from his presence, while Jasper jumps in and steals Seth’s spot. I’m in their arms, and all three of us watch Seth, only catching a word here and there, but it’s not enough to piece together the full story.

The conversation winds down, with Seth offering a final, “We’ll handle it, Rick. Trust me, and I’ll let my lawyer know to expect an email.” Ending the call, the tension in the room seems to lift ever so slightly. Seth’s return to the couch near us, his expression one of determined calm, has me completely confused.

“So, what happened? What did he say?” I ask, slightly shaking.

Seth settles back down with us, his phone now on the table, his expression unreadable. The tension coils tighter inside me, a knot of anxiety that threatens to unravel at any moment.

“Come on, man, don’t keep us in suspense,” Reed demands. “How much shit are we in?”

Seth takes a deep breath, and for a moment, I fear the worst. My mind races with dreadful possibilities—lawsuits, lost contracts, the end of Fever as we know it—all because of me. The guilt is a heavy shroud, suffocating me with its weight.

“Well, it’s like this,” Seth starts, his gaze dropping as if he’s bracing himself to deliver a blow. But then, I catch it—the slightest quiver at the corners of his mouth, a telltale sign he’s holding back a smile. What is he up to?

“Seth?” Jasper’s tone is a mix of warning and confusion.

Evidently, Seth can’t hold back any longer. “Fuck, fine, I’m trying to be serious, but I can’t. Wing Music isn’t suing us... if anything, they want us to start publicly appearing with Danica to promote the story of our blossoming romance with our Omega.”

I blink, stunned. “Wait, what?” It’s all I can manage, the words barely a whisper, as Reed and Jasper are equally dumbfounded.

Seth’s smile breaks free, his earlier grim facade replaced by an almost boyish glee.

“This is the thing... they’ve been watching the social media explosion around our concert, all the publicity about the hooded mystery girl I’ve been eyeing. And here’s the kicker… the media and our fans, they’re not hating the idea. They’re eating up this romantic story and want more of us together, our happily ever after. They are calling it the romance of the century.”

“Are you fucking with us?” Jasper asks.

“I’m fucking serious.” Seth is holding a straight face. “They’re even redoing our contract, which is going to our lawyer for review. We’re no longer officially single.”

The news hits me like a tidal wave, and tears spring to my eyes, not from fear or sadness but from an overwhelming sense of relief and joy.

“Oh my God,” I whisper, the tears now flowing freely.

Seth pulls me into his arms, kissing me, smiling like nothing in the world could touch him.

“Shit, man, you had us so worried. You asshole!” Reed’s words are light, mocking, and soon, he’s pulling Seth and me into a hug. Jasper’s there in seconds. Before I know it, I’m enveloped in their embrace, laughter mingling with my tears.

“I can’t believe this is happening... For the first time in my life, things are actually working out,” I manage between sobs and laughter.

Seth pulls back slightly, his eyes meeting mine with a promise. “Oh, this is just the beginning, sweetheart,” he assures me, Seth and Jasper nodding and smiling.

I can feel the collective tension of the past few days melt away, leaving room for something new, something hopeful.

For the first time, I dare to believe that maybe, just maybe, I’ve found my place, my pack, and my future.
