Chapter Four

Ghost

W AITING ON ALANA is fucking killing me. I know she wants to spend the week with Savage and Reagan before heading to Cedar Bay. What I didn’t expect was to feel as if each day lasts a week because I’m ready for her to be here with us. Geek and I have talked to her every single day. We’re getting to know her as she is now and were even given the speech from Savage about hurting her and him kicking our ass. I assured him the last thing we’d ever do is hurt the woman we’ve both been waiting for over the years. I don’t know if Geek and I convinced Savage about our intentions, but it doesn’t matter to me. The only person who matters is Alana and how she feels about us. As long as she believes in us and realizes our intentions are filled with doing everything we can to ensure she’s happy and loved, we’ll be good.

Geek and I have made sure that the room Alana will be staying in here is perfect. We’ve bought brand new bedding, a ton of pillows and blankets to fill the bed. There’s every streaming service we have set up on the TV in her room as well. I bought her a bookshelf and we filled it with the latest books that compare to those she’s been reading. I’m not sure if she’s already read these ones, but she has them if she needs something to read when she has some down time. We also turned the corner of her room into a little nook for her with one of those overstuffed chairs and a blanket over the back in case she gets cold. There’s a mini fridge in her room that we’ve filled with her favorite drinks and snacks. I don’t know what else we can do to make it perfect for her at this point. It doesn’t stop Geek from going in there almost daily to make sure everything is perfect.

Today, I’m going crazy and everyone is giving me a wide berth because they know when I get stuck in my head, I tend to take it out on everyone around me. Walking through the common room, I don’t pay attention to anyone as I leave through the back door and pull out my phone.

“What’s goin’ on, Ghost?” Cage answers his phone with worry filling his voice.

“Just checkin’ in to see if you’ve heard from Alana. I know she left yesterday mornin’ and that she was plannin’ on drivin’ the long way to Cedar Bay in case Terrence is followin’ her. I haven’t talked to her today and it’s gettin’ to me,” I answer him honestly as he starts chuckling on his end of the phone.

“I talked to her about twenty minutes ago. She should be callin’ you very soon to meet her. She’s made a ton of stops along the way and I know she plans on takin’ gifts to the kids. Haley is gonna fuckin’ hate what she got some of them,” Cage responds, laughing as he thinks of what his daughter is doing.

“Okay. I was worried,” I state, not sure what else to say as my body relaxes slightly with the knowledge Geek and I will be seeing our girl very soon.

“I get it, Ghost. I told you before I gave you my blessin’ to be with Alana. If there’s anyone out there who will give my girl the life she deserves, it’s the two of you. Jameson told me he already gave you the big brother speech. I would go all asshole dad and give you my own speech, but I know neither one of you are gonna hurt her. If you did, not only would you kick your own asses, but your dads would also beat the hell outta you. Stryker knows you’ll be meetin’ my girl and that she’s movin’ down there to be with you and Geek. I’m sure Playboy knows by now too,” Cage informs me as a smile breaks out on my face.

If I haven’t gotten a call from my mom or sister yet, it means my dad is keeping this information to himself. My mom has been bitching about wanting me settled down and giving her grandbabies for the last two years. Natalia also wants to be an aunt even though she hasn’t given our parents kids so far. Apparently it’s up to me to give grandkids to our parents and no one else.

“I’m sure our parents will be down here soon then. You know they won’t stay away once they know Alana is here and that we’ve been talkin’ to her. I’m sure the entire club will show up and they actually just left,” I inform him, thinking about the clubhouse going back to normal after the other clubs left because of King and Brynn having their triplets.

Talk about a mindfuck. None of us knew they were having triplets until they gave birth to them and gave us their names the next day. The newest members of our family are Remy Kay, Alara Haven, and Bishop Gunner. Two girls and a boy for Brynn and King. They’re the cutest babies I’ve seen in a long time, though I’ll deny that if anyone says that’s how I feel. I know Alana is excited to get here so she can do a photoshoot with the triplets, King, and Brynn. They just got their pictures from the maternity shoot and showed us all. If I had any doubts about Alana’s ability to be the best photographer I’ve ever seen, they were quickly removed from the first picture I saw. My girl is a fucking genius behind her camera and you can see how much she truly loves it.

“How are the babies and new parents doin’?” Cage asks, his voice serious now.

“They’re doin’ good. King always has one of his babies in his arms and dotes on all of them. He doesn’t let Brynn overdo anythin’ and makes her sleep when the triplets are. He’s a hands-on dad and doesn’t let anyone get too close to his little family. Kim went off on him because he was hoverin’ as she held one of the babies and Jemma had the other one,” I say, laughing at the image of Kim going off on her son that they weren’t gonna hurt the babies and to back the fuck off.

“Good. I’m sure we’ll be down to see them all soon. I’m gonna let you go. If you want, give Alana a call. She’s got her phone hooked up to the Bluetooth in her car,” Cage says before hanging up the phone.

I lean back against the clubhouse and close my eyes. Soon, we’ll have Alana with us and can make sure she’s really okay. There’s only so much you can truly discover through phone calls. Alana can tell us anything she wants and it not be the truth about this current situation she’s been facing all on her own. Even when we video call her, Alana is really good at hiding what she’s truly thinking or feeling. Instead of calling Alana, I slide my phone back in my pocket and make my way back in the clubhouse. She’ll call soon and we’ll head out to meet her.

A lana called us an hour ago and we met up with her just outside of Cedar Bay. Vault knows we’re heading out and has called Venom to let him know. Instead of going to the clubhouse, we went straight to Haley’s house. They have a house on the compound and it’s fucking huge. I love their house and, honestly, ours isn’t much smaller than the one she shares with Viking, Bull, and their kids. Haley gave us a tour of the house and showed us the room we’ll be sharing. Yes, she put the three of us in one room with the largest bed I’ve ever seen in my life.

“Are you tired, Tink?” I ask Alana as she sits on the edge of the bed after Haley leaves us alone for a minute.

“A little bit. I forgot how tiring road trips are. Add in all the extra bullshit with Terrence and it makes the exhaustion even worse,” she answers me honestly as I make my way over to sit next to her on the bed, pulling her into my arms and holding her close.

Seeing the remainder of the injuries on her face and neck along with the cast on her hand filled me with even more rage than I felt just hearing about her attack from Cage. Geek and I both stiffened and the tension filled the air around us. We were outside and you could feel it. Alana gave us a sad smile and let us bring her into our arms as we held her close. Geek pulled her body to the front of his and I stepped up behind her to hold her close. Looking at my best friend over her head, I could see the pure happiness and excitement in Geek’s eyes. He was right where he wanted to be and so was I.

“Why don’t we lay down so you can relax? I won’t fall asleep so we can go down when Haley lets us know dinner’s ready,” Geek says as Alana tries to stifle a yawn.

“Are you sure? We’re just seeing one another for the first time since the wedding,” she asks, her cheeks turning a faint pink color as she looks between Geek and myself.

“Sweet Angel, you come first. Always,” my best friend answers her as I stand and help her to her feet while he pulls the blankets back so she can slide in bed.

I remove Alana’s flip flops as she undoes the button on her jeans and slides them down her legs. My eyes are locked on every inch of skin she bares to our gazes and nothing will make me look away from the tantalizing view in front of me.

“A picture will last longer,” Alana sasses me as my eyes dart up to see a soft smile on her face.

“You wanna send me a picture of you with, or without, clothes on, I’ll keep it forever,” I tell her honestly with a smirk as I climb in bed next to her after removing my cut and shirt.

“We’ll see,” she says, her eyes already sliding closed as I pull her into my side, watching as Geek slides in bed behind her and wrapping his arm around the middle of her body.

Alana is asleep in seconds with her head in that spot between my shoulder and chest. Her arm is draped over my torso and one of her legs is thrown over the top of mine. Geek is plastered to her back with his arm holding her in a possessive manner. I let my eyes slide closed as Alana’s breath blows across my chest and sends chills through my body that feels as if it’s on fire.

W aking up, it takes me a minute to remember that we’re in Cedar Bay at Haley’s house. I allow my eyes to travel over Alana’s body where her shirt has ridden up, showing more of her pale skin. It’s ridden so high, I can see the bottom of the scar Cage told us about from that stupid fucker stabbing her. It takes me several minutes to calm myself down so the rage doesn’t explode and freak my girl out.

“Are you awake?” Alana asks me, her voice a whisper as I look over to find Geek passed the hell out.

“Yeah, Tink. Are you okay?” I return, my voice low and raspy with sleep.

“I’m good. Never slept better,” she answers, turning her head to place a kiss on my chest, her soft, full lips making goosebumps break out over my skin. “You both make me feel so safe and cared for. I don’t ever want to leave this little bubble and have to face the real world again.”

“We have to, Tink. If I know anythin’ about you, it’s that you don’t let the hard shit keep you down for long. You take a little bit, process what’s happenin’, and then kick ass to make the problem your bitch,” I tell her honestly as a soft knock sounds on the door and Haley pokes her head in the room.

“Viking and Bull just got home. Dinner’s ready if you want to eat,” she says, waking Geek up as he tightens his arm around Alana’s body.

“We’ll be down in a minute. Thank you, Haley,” I answer as Alana buries her head in my chest as if her twin can’t see her in bed between the two of us.

Haley isn’t gonna give a fuck about my Tink being with Geek and myself. She’s with two men herself and that’s how they grew up. Skylar, Cage, and Joker make having this kind of relationship easy when I know that’s not true at all. It takes more honesty and communication than a normal relationship if you ask me. Since this is all so new, I can see my girl being unsure about us and I don’t take it personally. It will be an adjustment period for all of us. Maybe it will do good for Alana to be here so she can see a different way this kind of relationship works.

After the door closes behind Haley, we all get out of bed and Alana gets dressed in a pair of leggings. I slide my tee-shirt and cut back on before we all slide our shoes on. Alana makes sure she looks halfway decent before giving us a smile and wrapping her arm around Geek’s. We make our way back downstairs and find everyone in the dining room. Viking and Bull stand from their chairs and greet us before pulling Alana into a hug. She sits between her oldest niece and nephew while Geek and I take seats on the other side of them.

The table is filled with every kind of food imaginable. I can’t even begin to think about how long it took Haley to cook all this stuff. However, the smile on her face lets me know this isn’t a chore for her. She loves cooking and taking care of those she loves by feeding them.

“So, how long are you gonna stay here?” Viking speaks up as we pass the dishes around the table and fill our plates.

“Just a few days. I don’t want to be on the road anymore and it’s gonna take time to settle in at the clubhouse in Pine View,” Alana answers with a smirk on her face. “Trying to get rid of me already, Viking?”

“Of course not. I’m just trying to figure out how long we’ll be missin’ our wife as the kids run all over the house like maniacs,” he answers, laughing as Haley glares in his direction.

“Tomorrow is the photoshoot so you two aren’t going anywhere,” Haley reminds her husbands as they groan in response.

Talk around the table is light and happy as we all watch Haley and Alana catch up with one another. Seeing the two of them sitting so close reminds me of all the times kids in school would mix them up. Personally, I don’t see why it’s so hard to tell the sisters apart. They couldn’t be more different from one another. Both girls look like Skylar with their generous curves and pale skin that’s smooth as silk. They’re soft and full of love, baking and cooking are important parts of who they are and the girls are never happier than when in front of the stove or in a kitchen.

Haley is slightly taller than her twin and having kids has only added to the curves she had before pregnancy. Her hair is darker than Alana’s and she dresses in skirts and dresses versus the jeans and sweats I’ve seen Alana wear countless times over the years. Alana has the freckles and pale blue eyes with the darker bursts of blue around them. She dresses for comfort and while comfortable in the kitchen, she prefers to be behind the lense of her camera. Haley loves interacting with everyone around her and is definitely more outgoing than Alana is.

When dinner is done, we all help clean up and put the leftovers away before making our way outside so the kids can burn off some of the excess energy they seem to have. While Alana and Haley sit in some chairs, the guys and myself run around chasing the little ones in a game of tag. Hearing their laughter is something that will never be old for me. Honestly, I can’t wait until I get to hear my own little one laugh and giggle because of some game we’re playing. That’s a thought I keep to myself so I don’t scare my girl off before we’ve had a chance to really make her ours.
