Epilogue
The doorof my workshop opened and in walked Honey, her face beaming with excitement. “Did you hear the news, Tillie? About Jasper and AJ?”
“I had a sense everything would work out for them. But tell me how it all came about.”
Honey babbled on about what happened with the Quinces, how they each were willing to sacrifice for the other, and then Jasper’s romantic proposal. “I’m so proud of Jasper for following his heart and going after what he wanted. And now they get to realize their restaurant dream together, as well.”
“Those two together will work magic on that place. I’m sure of it.”
“And Jasper surprised AJ, and had Raven design a new logo for the restaurant, renaming it Aurora’s. Isn’t that the sweetest thing? I knew that boy had charisma in spades, but I didn’t realize he was such a romantic.” Honey’s voice brimmed with pride and joy for her youngest son.
“Love will do that to a person. He just hadn’t met the one to inspire that in him. He hadn’t met Aurora yet.” A satisfied smile stretched across my face. Another successful match. I knew those two would be perfect for each other. They just needed a little push.
“And Aurora’s is a very elegant and classy name for a restaurant. I bet people will come from all around to eat there.” Honey predicted, and I couldn’t agree more. “So Tillie, now that three of my children have found their soulmates, who do you think will be next?”
I tapped my finger to my lips as I pondered this question. “Good question, Honey. I’ve been wondering about that myself. Let me light a candle and ask the powers that be for guidance.” I stood in front of my special table adorned with a candle, crystals, and oracle cards. I lit the candle and stood staring into the flame for a moment, waiting for an answer or a sign. Who would be my next match?
A boom of thunder sounded outside. We rushed to the window to see what was happening. The skies had been clear earlier. But now dark storm clouds were rolling in. Interesting.
“Well, Honey, I guess we have our answer.”
Her face lit up. “Storm is next? Oof, Tillie. I think you’ve got your work cut out for you with that one. He’s pretty adamant he has no interest in settling down. Doesn’t want to get married or have kids. If Jasper needed a push, Storm might need more of a shove.” She chuckled, watching the clouds continue rolling in.
“You’re exactly right. That’s precisely what he needs. And I’m happy to be the one to give it to him.” I rolled my hands around one another and cackled, my excitement building like the storm outside. “He’s not gonna know what hit him.”
