26. Blair
Blair
Elijah slept like a wild animal in the bed, and I spent most of the night trying to keep him from kicking me off the bed. Every time I moved him over; he found his way closer to me. I was sweating, fighting for my life, and almost certain that he was holding my bonnet with a death grip. He wasn’t the biggest fan of us boarding the jet without Quasim again.
I couldn’t even calm him down because I felt the same way. When he had Hassan turn off with me, I was losing my mind. As much as I knew I wasn’t equipped to handle things like Capri could, it made me feel better knowing I had eyes on him. The entire flight to Barbados drove me crazy because I wanted to know if he was alright.
Needed to know.
Capone was the one that kept me sane, reminding me who I was marrying. Quasim Inferno knew how to handle himself, and he had everybody with him to make sure that he would come back to me safe and sound.
The sun crashed into the windows, as I stared up at the ceiling while Elijah clung onto me. I smiled at him while rubbing his curls, and he farted. I covered my nose while scooting to get away from him.
“Jesus, Elijah… I told you to calm down on that cake last night.” I whispered.
Checking my phone, I didn’t have a call from Quasim, and my chest started to hurt. How was I supposed to become his wife? I couldn’t deal with the unknown and sitting and waiting to hear something.
“I’m right here, my love,” I heard that familiar voice, and still looked up like it came from the sky.
In the corner, crunched up on the couch, Quasim was there. I jumped off the bed and ran across the room, jumping on him and kissing his face while he hugged me. “Simmy, don’t scare me like that again.” I continued to kiss his face while he laughed, and accepted all the kisses I was smothering him in.
“Sim?” Elijah popped his head up like he wasn’t snoring in my ear seconds before. Soon as his eyes adjusted to the room, he jumped down from the bed and came flying onto the already cramped couch.
“What up? You was protecting my lady?”
He smiled. “Yep! I stayed up making sure she was safe all night.”
I folded my arms. “If staying up means snoring, snatching my bonnet, and farting… then I guess you did that.”
Elijah smirked. “I didn’t wet the bed.”
“Word? Proud of you, Eli.”
Elijah got down from the couch and ran to use the bathroom while I kissed Sim’s lips. “I was tossing and turning all night, thinking about you.”
He puckered his lips, and I kissed them. “Elijah wasn’t the only one that was snoring, Anjo. you sounded like the engine of a damn train.”
“Don’t even do me like that. What time did you come in?”
I watched as he lifted my night shirt and looked at my stomach. “Can’t wait to see your stomach grow… stretch marks and all on it.”
“Wait a minute now, I can wait for the stretch marks… don’t be wishing that on me.” I laughed, knowing that I would take every stretch mark in the world if that meant my baby was safe and here in the world.
“Doctor appointment when we back home… no more stalling on it, Blair.”
Quasim got up from the couch and went to get into the bed. I followed him into the bed and pulled my legs under me. “Simmy, I’m scared.”
He yawned and looked at me. “Tell me.”
“Everything that Bento told us, then the baby… I’m scared that my cancer can return. I don’t know what’s going to happen with my studio, not to mention Augusta Mae. I don’t want to stress you out because you have so much going on, so I try to keep it to myself. You lost your home, and I’m here complaining.”
Suddenly he wasn’t interested in sleeping anymore. “Don’t say that shit, Blair.”
Whenever he said my name, I knew he was serious. Although, he was always serious with me. “What?”
“That you’re complaining. Your fears are fucking valid, and I wish you would tell me about them. Stop letting it fester, and then you’re stressed out while carrying my baby.”
Tears fell from my eyes. “I worry a lot about Elijah and wondering if someone will take him from us.” It had been added to my long list of fears, and it was something I couldn’t think about long because then my heart would break.
He was comfortable with us, and I had a feeling that Lucia wasn’t going to let this go. Whatever Elijah knew was big, and they wanted him. “What kind of cake are we having?”
“Don’t try and distract me, Quasim.”
“I want a banana cake… with that good frosting, too, none of that whipped shit.” He kissed my head, as he continued to pull my thoughts away from all the stress going on in our lives.
“I do like banana cake, and I hate whipped frosting.”
He kissed me again. “Which is why I’m marrying you. I knew the minute I laid eyes on you that you hated whipped frosting.”
I pulled away from him and slapped him with a pillow. “I don’t like you, Quasim.”
He laughed. “You don’t even believe that shit you just said out your mouth.”
I couldn’t help but to laugh because he was right. This man meant everything to me, and I loved his dirty draws. “We really gonna get married?”
“Always been the plan since I bought that ring in Italy.”
I gasped and paused as I looked down at my ring. “You bought this in Italy?”
I watched as he nodded his head and got his hands comfortable behind his head. What I learned was one of his favorite sleeping positions. “Yeah.”
Grabbing the pillow, I smacked him in the face a few times before he opened his eyes. “The fuck is that for?”
“You had me thinking I was crazy, and you bought me an engagement ring while we were there?”
“Never had you thinking you were crazy.” He defended.
The knock on the door disrupted our conversation. “Come in.”
Syn popped her head in. “Good morning, babes. Us girls ar?—”
“And guy!” Kobe made himself known.
Syn rolled her eyes. “And guy. We’re going to have brunch at the restaurant on the beach… throw anything on.”
“Okay, give me a few minutes.”
“Hams is boarding his flight with Yasin and Kiki now,” Kobe informed us.
I don’t remember how Kobe got invited on the jet, but he was there waiting when I arrived. He couldn’t stop snapping pictures of himself and then spent the rest of the ride talking to me about his relationships.
It was the distraction I needed from thinking about Quasim.
“Why didn’t he fly with you guys?” I questioned, as I looked back at Sim, who had his eyes closed again.
“He and Yasin wanted to make sure their mother was straight.” He replied, never opening his eyes and settling more into the bed.
“Good morning, Kang!” Kobe laughed.
Quasim held his middle finger up as Elijah came out the bathroom. “Is Ryder up?”
“She’s washing her father’s hair.”
“Washing his hair?”
Syn shrugged. “Capri said that’s their thing.”
Elijah headed out the room and Syn closed the door back. Soft snores escaped his nose, as I watched his chest slowly rise and fall. The sun hit his body, and his tattoos seemed like they were shimmering in the sun.
His lips resembled a cloud and softened his scowl that he wore when he slept. Didn’t matter if we just had the best sex, my baby was going to have a scowl when he slept. One of his arms rested behind his head, as his lips twitched.
I’d never pretend to know the things that he has done and will do, but I can imagine it wasn’t easy to do, and it often took sleep away from him. Witnessing him sleep so peacefully, I didn’t want to disturb him because I knew he needed the rest.
Kissing his lips a few times, I felt his hand wrap around me. “Go feed my baby, Anjo.”
I smiled and kissed him again. “Going now… want me to bring you some food back?”
He kept his lips puckered for another kiss, which I gave him. “Yeah, bring me back whatever. I’m gonna sleep for like an hour, and then gonna take Elijah to the beach.”
“Okay.”
I climbed out the bed, and he pulled me back onto him, and wrapped both his arms around me. “We gonna get through anything, right?”
“Yes.”
“So, I don’t need you stressing about nothing. Your cancer isn’t going to come back, our baby is going to be healthy and strong, Elijah isn’t ever leaving, and Augusta Mae will be moved into the house.”
“Why do you think you can solve everything? You didn’t mention my studio.”
He smirked. “Cause as your man, I’m going to solve all your problems. Never leaving you the room to start to spiral… when it comes to you, I’m gonna figure that shit out every time.”
I smiled as I slipped out the bed and went to get myself ready for the beach.
By the time I was ready, Ryder was massaging oil into her father’s locs, while he was half asleep in the chair. “Meer, you need rest like your brother is getting.”
“He don’t listen.”
“Missed my baby, needed her to wash my hair and oil my scalp.” His head was back, so he looked directly at Ryder. “Right, Peach?”
She smiled and kissed her father’s burns. “Yes, but you do need rest… me and Elijah are going to the beach soon.”
His eyes popped open. “You ditching me when I came here for you?”
Ryder smiled. “We can spend now together, daddy.”
He pointed to his cheek, and she kissed it. “Go grab my wrap so I can wrap my locs.” Ryder ran upstairs to get what her father wanted. “You give birth to her, and this is how she acts with you… just leaving you.”
I stared at my future brother-in-law and tried to think about what he had just said. “Meer, you didn’t give birth to that girl.”
“Unlike Naheim, I don’t have a baby mama… I’m a fucking seahorse… I spit Peach out myself.”
Capri eased herself down the stairs as I stared at her. “Baby, I’m gone… go and get some sleep, please.”
“Shit, don’t have no choice since Peach leaving me and now you… Cherry over there with your mother.”
“Don’t you dare let Goon meet her until I’m back.”
I gasped. “Goon’s out of prison?”
“Fuck you mean, Queen… they can never hold a nigga down long.” He yawned, as he came from a back room.
I rushed over toward him and hugged him. “Gerald, I put money on your books, and didn’t even get a letter. I know you didn’t need the money, but I just wanted to do something.”
“I sent you roses to the studio.”
I tried to remember when I got flowers, and then I smiled when it connected. The flowers that had arrived on the day that I wasn’t there. Syn had put them on display on the counter and I never thought to read the card because I assumed it was from Zay.
“You know… I thought that was from somebody else.”
Goon laughed and went into the fridge to grab something to drink. “Ready?”
Cappadonna came in from the backyard dressed ready for a run. “Hell yeah… don’t let up on me either.”
“Nigga, fuck you thought? Six miles… I wanna run past that new resort that’s further down. Heard they got some cigar lounges shit we can take Sim to tonight.”
“Good morning, lovers and Meer.” Zoya sang as she came down the steps, dressed in a one-piece black swimsuit, and a Celine sarong wrapped around her with matching sandals. Her hair was pulled up in a high pony, and she wore a dark pair of shades.
“See, you always being shady.”
“I asked you for an extra blanket last night and you gave me a towel, asshole.”
Capri continued to limp around the counter while she laughed. “Why didn’t you text me?”
“You know exactly why.” Zoya pulled her glasses down and gave her the evil eye. I watched as she realized that Goon was standing in the kitchen. “Gerald, what th…”
“What up, Ms. Lawyer?” He smirked, as he came around the counter. “I can’t get a hug or nothing… damn?”
Zoya floated across the kitchen over toward him, wrapping her arms around his neck as he hugged her. “Are you alright? How is your mental?”
Goon smirked. “Better now… but if you cold, I got you tonight.”
She shoved him and laughed. “Whatever, Gerald. Camron didn’t tell me anything.”
“Asked her not to… you look good as shit.” He licked his lips as he took her in, and she was blushing, which wasn’t the case with Zoya.
“I’m ready whenever you guys are,” Syn and Kobe came out of the room they were sharing. It was crazy how these two were connected at the hip already.
Kobe came out with oversized Gucci shades on and a two-piece linen set with his shirt opened. “I need about seven drinks in me before noon.”
“Kobe, the fuck up?” Goon held his hand out, as Kobe walked over and held his hand, and they embraced.
“You better stay home, too… can’t be making trips to visit you now.”
Goon looked at him. “Nigga, you never even came to visit me.”
Kobe sat with his finger on his chin pondering. “Yeah, you right… wrong nigga.”
“There you fucking go,” Goon shoved him and grabbed a water before heading out toward the back door. “Baby cakes, save some time for me later… ight?”
“I have some calls that I have to make later for work, so I don’t know.”
“Bet… where you gonna be taking these calls?” He questioned, as he stretched in the doorway.
Zoya was fighting for her life, trying not to blush. “My room has a desk, so there.”
He nodded. “Pencil me in.”
Cappadonna had already taken off running, and he put the towel on his shoulder and took off behind him.
“Pencil him in, Zoya.” Meer’s dumb ass yawned as he stood up and headed up the stairs. “Peach, you making my damn head wrap?”
We laughed as we made our way out the back to walk along the beach to the restaurant. “Girl, are you good?”
Capri rested on the steps leading onto the beach. “I’m sorry, Blair… but the way Meer fucked the hell out of me when we landed… Jesus, I am sore.”
“I’m okay with you telling me to mind my business.”
She started laughing while leaning on the stairs. Everyone had started walking ahead of us already. “Things have been tense between us with everything going on, and then having to handle things yesterday… every time he watches me in action, it turns him on. I sat my suitcase down and was about to take a shower, and he grabbed me up and turned me every way but loose. Zoy knocked on the door and he tossed a towel at her and got right back to it.” I watched as she fanned herself with this lover girl look all in her eyes.
One that I knew had been in my eyes the times that King got hold of me and didn’t let me loose until he said so. “This why you can’t walk and I’m pregnant… let’s go, Limpy.”
“Very fitting that their last name is Inferno cause… whew, Big Pa.”
I stopped in my tracks. “Capri, I will block you in real life… I don’t even want to hear about Meer like that.” I broke out into laughter.
“I can’t leave ‘em alone,” she sang out while we limped along the beach.
The walk on this beach felt different this time. I’ve walked along this beach before as I walked to the restaurant we loved. This time, it was different because I knew I would be getting married to Quasim on it. My mark in the Inferno family tree would be made here, and I would be becoming Mrs. Inferno.
It was beautiful when I watched my best friend make her mark, and now it was my turn. I got misty eyed, thinking about everything that led us to this. All the pain we both suffered, and the running that we did, mostly Simmy, and now we were here. Being united together while our family watched.
“With the way you were hugging him, I couldn’t tell you had yous a man,” Kobe looked over the menu, as he crossed his legs.
Syn nodded in agreement. “Yeah, you both look cute together… very comfortable.”
“I have a whole man, and Gerald is a family friend apparently.” She sighed.
“You want him to be your man, though.” Kobe continued to probe, as me and Capri took our seats.
“Your mouth says one thing, but I bet you pencil him in.”
“Only because I want him to tell me what exactly went on. My friend didn’t put me onto anything once I told her to take over his case.”
“Righttt,” Syn and Kobe both said at the same time as Zoya looked at them both, and then over at me.
“Uninvite them to the wedding now.” She joked.
Capri tried to cross her legs a few times before she got it right. “I don’t know why you walking around delusional like you don’t have feelings for that man. I get being in a relationship, but you should already know those Gods get what they want, and Goon has been telling you for a while that he wants you.”
“Do they get what they want?” Syn’s hot in the pants ass fanned herself with the fan, and Kobe snickered.
“Hams for sure always gets what he wants.”
“Who the hell is Hams?” Capri asked.
“Havoc.” I informed her.
“Ohhh.”
“I would say that I’m scared for you, but with those nipples pierced, and the way you waving that menu… you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into.”
Synthia laughed. “He has a situation, so we’re only friends… a friend could admire a friend, right?”
“You don’t even need to worry about her…. Hams has been bored with her for years. She’s familiar… that’s all.” Kobe waved off what Synthia said.
“Familiar is also dangerous… means he’ll go back because she is familiar and not someone new like Synthia. I kept going to familiar because it was safe, knowing it was wrong.” Capri spoke.
“From the way you walked over here, and Meer in the kitchen, you eventually woke up. Hams is very aware, and he knows shorty isn’t end game for him.”
“Hmm.”
“Don’t even do that… we spent half the night talking about this.” Kobe pulled Syn’s hair as she laughed. “I have a personal investment in this happening… I like her.”
“So, you about to force Havoc with her because you like her.” Zoya laughed. “You know what… I ain’t even mad at it.”
Kobe leaned up. “His last relationship was toxic, and he knows it, but he can’t stop messing with her ass. Girl used to sneak out their house to hang with her hoe friends like she didn’t have free will. One time, she hid that man’s implants, so he didn’t know she left the house. I can promise you that if I didn’t track his phone and see where he was at, he would have been in prison.”
All of us were at the edge of our seats, waiting for him to continue. “What did he do?” Syn said.
“That nigga was about to drive his truck through her cousin’s lounge. Revving the engine and everything when me and Sin pulled up. Yasin had to physically stand in front because that nigga was still going to do it.”
While any other woman would have backed down and said he was too crazy for her, Syn was still on the edge of her seat. “He should have. Why would she take his ears for? Anything could have happened, and she hid them… now I have beef with her.”
“Oh yeah… Syn, I don’t care about you using that friend card.” I laughed.
“Inferno girls don’t know how to call the Delgato girls?” Aimee squeezed next to Kobe, as Erin and Alaia sat in the last two empty seats.”
“I called you bitches… and you told me that you were busy.”
“Girl, I was. Promise was throwing up all night. She gets motion sick after the motion. Mommy had her and the twins, so when we came in, I took her.”
Erin cleared her throat. “I damn sure didn’t get a call.”
“Y’all are in the same damn house.” Capri laughed while Erin grabbed fish cakes. “How is Capone?”
“You know how he is… never wanna take the time. I appreciate both Cappadonna and Quasim for listening to me. I love my husband, but he so fucking hardheaded.”
I could see that she was stressed, and I felt for her. Having a husband with sickle cell, and then four kids, was a lot for anybody. Especially when your husband was hardheaded as hell.
“There go my baby,” Alaia smiled when Cappadonna and Goon both ran by on their run. He winked at her as he continued running, and Goon made a detour over to where we were sitting.
He sat on the edge of the chair that Zoya was sitting on. “Eww, Gerald, you all sweaty.”
“I promise I won’t say eww when I got you all sweaty.” He winked, as her phone lit up and I could tell it was her boyfriend. “Go ahead and answer the phone for Thun-Thun. Won’t be too much of you answering to that nigga, Baby cakes.”
She held her phone as he stood up and took off running behind Cappadonna. “Answer that phone, baby cakes,” Kobe sipped his drink while we all fell out laughing.
We spent the afternoon on the beach, and then by the pool with the kids. I held Cherry and kissed her cheeks, as she made spit bubbles. How could a baby be so perfect? Meer and Capri literally created this angel with love.
Her parents are so in love that they couldn’t help but create this angel. I kissed her cheeks as she tried eating my face, and I allowed her to slobber on my face, glad that I didn’t put sunscreen on my face earlier.
“How could you not want a million more?” I joked as I continued to kiss and smell her little chubby self as Capri read her kindle.
“Being as that anytime I pull this out, she yanks it out my hand… I can wait for the million more.”
I laughed. “I cannot wait to smell that fresh baby smell and hold my baby.”
Capri put her kindle down. “And I cannot wait to be there to hold your hand like you did with me. How has Sim been with everything?”
“Good. We talk about the baby often… I was scared to get pregnant because I didn’t know how he would take it.”
Zoya put her magazine down. “That man loves the hell out of you. Every time he was in the same room as you, he couldn’t stay away. His eyes would follow you around the entire room. This was meant to happen, and you both were supposed to have this baby, and this union together… I love that my girls are all having babies and getting married.”
“It’s your turn now… we wanna see you have some babies and get married.”
Zoya smiled. “First, I’m not taking my birth control out until I am married… then I will work on babies. These men got my trust fucked up and I refuse to become a baby mama.”
“Goon gonna stand on everything he been saying. I think that’s why you are scared of him, Zoy.” Capri called her out.
It was just the three of us sitting around the pool at the Delgato beach house, while everyone went back to the other house or inside to change for tonight. Jean was on her way over here to pick Cherry up so we could go out tonight. Quasim slept the entire day, and I hadn’t heard from him. He needed the rest, so I didn’t bother him.
Elijah was at Jean and Des’s house with Ryder and CJ.
“I’m not scared of him.” Zoya defended.
“Lies… you are scared that he’s going to make you pull them walls down and allow him to love on you. Zoya, you are the least affectionate person I know, and you said that it bothers Sigel.”
“Put my business out there then.”
I rubbed her arms. “It’s just the three of us.”
“Even if I did want that man, once he got to know me, he gonna run for the hills. Say I’m too spoiled, difficult, and emotionally cold.”
“Emotionally cold?” Capri raised her brow.
“Sigel always says that I’m emotionally cold or whatever that means… says I show no emotion when we’re arguing. How can I show emotion when all I wanna do is take my gun and empty it in his chest for the stupid shit he says.”
Me, Capri, and Cherry looked at her. “You know… I’m starting to see the resemblance of you and Menace.”
“Don’t even do that,” she laughed.
“All I’m saying is, empty your gun in his chest? Damn, the fuck do he be doing?”
Zoya sighed. “He’s not a fucking leader… doesn’t know how to lead but swears that he do. The fact that he always venting on social media pisses me off. Always in his stories talking shit, like what? Having all those kids and baby mamas isn’t the prob?—”
“Girl, don’t even say that’s not the problem… having all those kids and baby mamas is the problem.” I cut her off.
“It’s not the problem when he knows how to keep his shit straight. The problem with him is he allows them to do whatever and don’t check that shit. He’s been on me to move in, but why would I move in when his baby mamas come and go as they please? Last time, one of them called herself wanting to fight.”
“And you should have whooped her ass.” Capri became upset just hearing the story.
“Not wasting my time or risking my career. I have to move differently because I have more. She has no choice but to move the way that she does. I did tell her just because I was walking away didn’t mean that I couldn’t get someone to handle her.”
“I know this was a game to fuck with your brother. When is this game going to be over, Zoya.”
She took Cherry from me and kissed her. “I actually care about the nigga.”
“Zoya, damn.” Capri muttered.
“I know I can never be with him long-term. I have this stupid ass dream of having kids with someone that doesn’t have kids… a first for us both, you know? It’s getting hard finding niggas that don’t already have kids.”
“Goon doesn’t have any kids, right?” I looked at Capri for clarification.
She shook her head. “He doesn’t have kids.”
Capri smiled and I looked at what she was looking at, and Meer, Quasim, and Goon were coming into the backyard. “Hey, Meercat, did you sleep good?”
He came right for his wife and kissed her lips. “Didn’t realize how tired my body been.”
“Cause you don’t sleep,” she kissed his lips and smelled him.
They were all dressed to head to the resort to some cigar lounge that Cappadonna had found. This was their night out, and we were going to give that to them while we had dinner.
Quasim came right to me and pulled my head back and covered my lips with his. His tongue roamed my mouth as I held the side of his face, and he finally released me. “Missed you, my love… you fed my baby?”
“I missed you, too… you smell so good,” I smelled his neck as he continued to peck my lips and run his hands through my messy hair.
Being on the beach and swimming all day had my hair a mess. “You didn’t answer my question.”
“I ate earlier… not really in the mood for something right now.”
I ducked when Meer shoved a water bottle in my face. “Go ahead and drink some damn water, B… can’t have you dehydrating my damn niece or nephew.”
“You damn near knocked her out with the bottle,” Goon said next to Zoya and looked at Cherry.
Capri clapped her hands as Zoya handed her over to him. “Hold your God daughter and give her like three bands for missing her birth.” Meer waved them off.
Cherry was so little in his hands, as he held her. “Hey stinky mamas… hey my girl… yeah, you remember my voice.” She was cracking up at the voices he was making as he kissed her stomach, and she kicked her legs.
Me and Capri both broke out in tears, watching him with her. All Goon spoke about was coming home to meet her. He was so excited when they made him her God father, and I could tell it was a job he planned to take seriously.
Cherry never had to worry about a thing when it came to Goon. With Simmy being Ryder’s God father and uncle, then Cherry having Goon as a God father, the Inferno girls were well protected.
Sim sat behind me as I leaned back on him, and he kissed me all over my face. “You really missed me, huh?”
“Woke up needing something but your ass wanna be sunbathing.”
“You saw me?”
“You lucky our beach is private,” he pinched my hip and laughed.
“I gotta make sure the tan is even.”
“For what? Who else seeing it but me… hmm?”
We paused our conversation because everyone was staring at us. “Well damn, can we help you all?”
“Girl got her man and then forgot all the nights we stayed up on the phone with her… just trifling.” Meer was leaned across Capri’s pool chair, with his head in her lap.
I started laughing. “Whatever… shouldn’t you both be going out on your boy’s night? Are you taking Kobe?”
“Nah… we asked and he acted like he gotta pencil us in or some shit.” Meer was real deal offended that Kobe turned them down.
“Kangggg,” Zoya busted out laughing.
“Aye, Zoy?”
“What’s up, Sim?”
“Fuck ya.”
She started laughing. “Baby cakes, I need you to be practicing how to hold babies… damn, need another one so you can hold them both at the same time.”
“Gerald, please… I don’t have babies without a ring and the certificate that comes with it.”
He nodded as he kissed Cherry, and handed her back to Zoya. “You ain’t said nothing but a word. Soon as we attend Thun Thun’s funeral, we can go and get the marriage taken care of.”
He quickly hopped up. “I’m going to meet with Havoc and them.”
“Gerald, what do you mean funeral?”
He jogged backwards and did the gun motion. “Baby, you already know what I’m on… ain’t about you either… shit personal, but I’m gonna take good care of his girl… gonna make her my wife.”
“Give me my baby because if you drop her because you about to lose your shit.” Capri snatched Cherry back.
“Why would you say that?” She went behind him, and he backed her up against the wall near the stairs and leaned over her.
Zoya didn’t need to come back over here and say nothing, but her knees were weak, and sis wasn’t about to stand on any kind of business when it came to her man’s life. She should have just started preparing his will for the kids and baby mamas. Once he said something and she nodded her head up and down, I fell back laughing.
When I looked back, Sim was staring down at me. “You so beautiful, Anjo.”
“Thank you, baby.”
He got lower to my ear. “I wanna see something spilling from your lips, though.”
My body got chills, as it reacted to wanting the same thing. “Now?”
“I’ll let you know.” He slipped from behind me, and I rolled over, watching him walk away with his bow-legged stance.
God, I was grateful that Mina didn’t correct it when he was a child. “Quasim!”
“Told you I run this, my love.” He winked and headed down the steps, while I groaned and kicked my feet.
“Reason yo ass knocked up now.” Meer kissed both Capri and Cherry before he headed with Goon and his brother.
Zoya came floating back up the steps. “Sigel squeezes the toothpaste, and my brother has always hated that… maybe he should go.”
“Zoya!” I hollered as me and Capri both fell out laughing because sis was screaming a different tune now that Goon had spoken some act right into her.
“He spoke with my brother.”
“Oh shit.” Capri beat me to the punch.
I stood up and clapped. “Well, let’s go on for dinner… cause if that man reached out to Menace… he not bout to play with you, baby.”
After Jean came to pick us up, we went inside to see if Alaia and Erin were coming out since Cappadonna and Capone went to meet with the guys already. They told us they were coming to dinner, so we knocked on Aimee’s door.
“Aim, we’re going to dinner… you coming tonight?” Capri asked.
“Hmm?” she moaned, and I covered my mouth.
All three of us were looking around like children witnessing their parents having sex. “Is she in there getting fucked?” Zoya asked the question we all already knew the answer to.
“And is… she not coming out tonight… right, Aim?” Capella mocked us, and Capri covered her ears.
“Nooo.”
“Not Auntie’s babies… Jesus.”
The grunts and her moans sent us all running away from their door to go back and get changed for dinner.
When I walked back into the house, Havoc was standing with his back toward us. Syn poked her head from around him. “Get ready because our reservations are in thirty minutes.”
Capri rushed to her room while Zoya did the same and my nosey ass walked over toward them. “Hey Havoc and Syn.”
“Did you bring it?”
“Yeah.”
“So, you gonna do it?”
“Possibly.”
She shoved him and he didn’t budge as he smirked down at her. “What you want?”
Syn looked up into this man’s eyes with a serious expression. “I want ‘bite me’ on my ass… and I want you to bite me, and fill the bite mark in.”
I was in the background pumping my fist because being nervous didn’t exist with my girl. She was bold, told it how it was, and she was going to bring Havoc to his knees. That silly ass grin he wore on his face told me that she hit a reverse uno.
She never broke eye contact with him. “I got you, Tiny.”
Syn held her hand out. “See, this why we’re friends... appreciate you, Hamza.”
“Ain’t trying to be your friend after I bite that ass cheek, Tiny.” He licked his lips as he walked toward the door to meet up with the guys.
Yasin came from the back with Kiki. “Do you hear how crazy you sound? He’s a good guy, and I like him.”
“Dead that shit… not saying it again,” Yasin lifted his shorts some, and continued past us as Kiki looked at his back.
Kiki looked at Havoc and he shrugged. “Dead that shit,” his ass mocked, and she flipped her finger at him.
I finally took my ass to shower and get ready for dinner.
