Chapter Nine

Elias Cross

A dream. That’s what I thought it was when my dick was inside her because that’s what it felt like. Her warm, wet pussy gripping me as I focused on making sure she had hers first. This new obsession is highly addicting, like flammable liquid dangerously close to fire…all it takes is one spark and it’s all up in flames. It doesn’t matter that the whole world might burn, as long as I burn with her.

“How many do you think we need?” she asks, holding the solvent in one hand and a large black bag in the other.

“You need different chemicals to dissolve certain parts of the body.” I smile at her innocence, and she frowns.

“There’s too many of them to dissolve them all and I don’t want to be digging graves either.”

“We could always burn them?” I whisper and her eyes light up.

“That’s brilliant.”

Grabbing the lighter fluid boxes, she throws them in the cart, her hood and hat covering most of her face. It’s extremely risky being out here with her, but I didn’t want her to be alone in this. After the party at her house, the police are on high alert. Even though we cleaned up, the bodies were still there when we left and no doubt some of our DNA.

We pay for the items and leave, getting into the new ride we managed to steal from one of her rich neighbours.

“Don’t think I’ve ever sat on leather seats in a car before.”

The soft thud of her door sounds as she enters, closing it behind her.

She shrugs, looking around the interior of the car. “It’s nothing special. Let’s go. I want to get ready for tonight.”

I feel her excitement radiating through her smile and my cock tents in my jeans.

“You have to stop doing that,” I warn, pushing the start button.

“Doing what?”

“Talking dirty to me.”

She giggles, playfully slapping my arm and I pin her to the back of the chair with my hand around her throat.

“I’m serious, or I won’t be able to control myself.”

Her mouth falls open, her eyes dropping to my lips as she grabs my hand and guides it into her panties. “Self-control is overrated.”

Slipping a finger into her, I groan, my cock now painfully hard.

“You’re teasing me.”

“No…” Removing my hand, she places it in my mouth and the taste of her buzzes on my tongue, heightening everything around me. “I’m warming you up for the finale.”

I’m fully aware that there is only two of us. I’m insane, not stupid. I know they’re greater in numbers and I know this most likely won’t end well for us. The gravity of the situation might be enough to throw some people, but I haven’t sensed an ounce of hesitation or heard a sound of regret in her voice.

“ Slasher , let’s agree on one thing before we head in, okay?” I level with her because for the first time in my life I’m afraid of something.

“Don’t tell me you’re scared.” She scoffs, shuffling her feet and grabbing the handles of the plastic bags.

“I am.”

She whips her gaze to me, surprised.

“I’m fucking terrified of losing you.”

Her expression goes from shock to awe. “Nothing’s going to happen to me,” she reassures me and I admire her for it. “They should be worried about what’s going to happen to them.”

Grabbing the chainsaw onto her lap, she strokes it like a pet. “ Spike and I are charged and ready. Let me know if you need a breather.”

I remain bewildered by her as she gives me a peck on my lips and slips out the passenger door, waiting for me.

“Fuck, I think I’m in love,” I murmur to myself before reaching for the axe in the backseat.

Guns are too mainstream. Too easy. One pull of the trigger and they’re dead.

Where’s the fun in that?

Where’s the savouring of the moment?

The sweet pause right before they realise they’re about to die is one of my favourite seconds. As they draw their last breath, knowing my face is the last one they’ll see, it makes me want to take a photo of them to create an album.

“If they touch me, I don’t want you to intervene.” She gives the chainsaw a test run, the blades whirring beside her.

“No fucking way, you can’t ask that of me.”

“Elias. I need to do this myself.” She walks in before I can agree, which is probably a good thing because there is no fucking way I will let them touch her. She’s mine and always will be.

Walking past the gates, we enter the yard in the middle of nowhere, nothing but a lone warehouse in sight as goosebumps rise on my skin, covering my neck, back and arms. The moonlight casts a shadow on the various abandoned vehicles by the building, only one of them looks like it's in working condition.

A thud vibrates the metal doors of the warehouse and we both take cover behind a wrecked car.

“How many people do you think they have in there?”

“I don’t know, it could be from five to fifteen but when they had me, I saw five men. Two were outside keeping watch and the others were inside with the victims,” she explains.

“I’ll follow your lead.”

I don’t follow anyone, I don’t even listen to many people but for her, I’ll bend over backwards, offer myself up as bait or be the grim reaper at her service.

Edging closer to the door, we spot a man in all black putting a cigarette butt out with his boot, carrying a pistol in the back of his pants. Just as I’m about to speak Rue saunters off in his direction, the chainsaw resting on her shoulder, her denim shorts barely covering her ass with the way her hips sway when she walks.

Damn it. I’m hard again watching her.

“You!” He reaches for his gun as he spots her, my stomach almost falling out of my fucking ass but before he can grab it, she saws his hand off. “Ahhh! You crazy fucking bitch!”

She laughs as I approach them, his eyes now on me.

“Actually, he’s the crazy one.” She kisses me as he falls to his knees. “Have fun, baby.” She trails her hand down my shirt and steps aside.

There are so many ways I could kill him and yet I can only think of one that would satisfy me right now.

“Are you curious to know what your spine looks like?”

The scent of his fear makes things so much more arousing as he whimpers, the adrenaline no doubt coursing through his veins.

“What’s the matter with you, man?” He sniffs, the end of his radius and ulna now exposed to the air. “What do you want?”

“Well, the simple answer is your life.”

He begins to pull himself along the dirt, glancing back and forth from me to Rue.

“Hold still.” Rolling him over to his front, I remove my shirt and force it into his mouth. “You might feel a little pinch.”

Lifting the axe above my head, I swing down hard on his back, his muffled screams barely over a decibel as I remove it and do it again on the other side of his spine.

It’s ridiculous just how strong the human body can be. I know, I studied human motion and physics. The body can be the most dangerous weapon if you train it correctly or it can be the biggest, useless sack of meat if treated poorly.

“I might need that.” I point at the chainsaw in Rue’s hand, and she gives it to me.

“All this blood is making me thirsty.” I chuckle, shoving my hand into the axe wound, the firm muscles beneath his skin unwilling to move as I feel my way round for his spine. Sawing into the other side, I almost slice my finger off.

Looking up at Rue, I notice the look on her face, the same one she was giving me in the car earlier.

“I told you not to look at me like that.”

“Maybe you can make good on your threat when I finally kill them all.” She takes the chainsaw from me and places the blade on my throat. “I’m getting impatient.”

I hold her gaze as I pull at the man's spine, the vertebrae dislodging from the disc and muscle surrounding it. Opening her hand, I place it in her palm.

“A souvenir for your growing collection.”

“What collection?” She rolls it over in her palm, the blood dripping from her fingertips.

“One I’m about to start.”
