Chapter 27 - Riley

I closed the door to the bedroom and looked at Cayden, who was standing in the bathroom. He was brushing his teeth when his eyes snapped up in the mirror on me. He smiled. "Hey, you good?"

I nodded with a smile, walking into the bathroom with him. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure April is passed out. She was snoring when I walked by the bedroom."

Cayden laughed as he spit into the sink and wiped his mouth. "Do you need any help?"

"I need to change," I said, pulling my sling off, trying not to flinch. I couldn't deny that my shoulder hurt. It was more sore than anything. Cayden gave me a hand, helping me pull off my shirt and unclip my bra. He helped me pull on a new shirt before he helped me climb into bed, pulling the sheets back for me.

I yawned, feeling all the day's events starting to weigh on me. I decided to take some medication before bed just in case it started hurting more in the night.

"You think April is going to be okay?" I asked as he climbed into the bed next to me. "She didn't exactly tell us much about the divorce."

"Well, I'm sure she has a lot on her mind, just like you did when you got here. Give her a little time to settle, and I'm sure she'll open up."

I understood that, but April seemed off, and it worried me. I hadn't expected her just to be okay with Cayden and me being together as quickly as she had. I expected her to be a little angry, even more, when she found out how long we've known we were mated to each other.

"Are you okay?" Cayden asked, glancing at my shoulder. "Do you need any pain meds?"

I shook my head. "I took some earlier. It's just stiff, is all. The medication should kick in soon."

I could see the worry on his face, so I reached out, rubbing my thumb over his cheek. "But thank you for asking. It's nice to have someone worry about me. It's refreshing."

"I will always worry about you, Riley. You're the most important person to me." He took my hand and kissed the back of it. "You should know I'll do anything for you."

His words pulled at my heartstrings. I knew he meant the words. He had helped me change my life in such a short time, and I didn't even know it was possible. I didn't think there was anything better out there.

I went from a shitty relationship with no clear view of what I wanted to do with my life to being so deeply in love that I didn't want to imagine what life would be like without him. I had an amazing job that made me so happy, and I was around kids enjoying them.

Which sparked a new conversation.

"Since we have already opened the can of worms, should we maybe discuss everything else?"

Cayden looked at me, confused. "About?"

"Should I just stay here?" I asked, "Since we are together….is there really a need for me to move out? If you want me to, I will, but if not...I'd like to say."

"Only if you want to," Cayden said, giving me a soft smile. "But if I had a choice, I would love for you to say."

I smiled at him. "Then I will."

He leaned closer, moving a strand of loose hair. "Speaking of living together, what do you want your future to look like? With us?"

I thought about it, imagining a wedding and children. But they were things that I didn't want to wait on. It took me years to have Cayden, and I didn't want to wait longer.

"I don't want a big wedding. I would honestly go down to the courthouse tomorrow and marry you. I spent so much time with Brad, and I feel that I wasted it all. I don't want to waste any more time on things that don't matter."

Cayden looked a little shocked. "Seriously?"

I nodded. "I don't want to wait to be with you. And I know the idea is probably crazy considering how short this relationship has been, but it's how I feel."

Cayden pulled me close. "It's not crazy because that's how I feel. I've wanted to be with you for years, Riley. So, how about we go to the courthouse this weekend?"

I smiled. "So, were engaged? Are we really going to do this? Get married?"

He nodded. "We are."

I giggled, leaning closer. Cayden kissed me softly, chuckling at me. "Now that's settled, I'm going to ravish your body like no tomorrow."

"Oh yes," I said, feeling a rush roll over me.

Cayden laid me down slowly, being aware of my shoulder. He pulled my skirt back up, my breast popping free in the air, and I felt my nipples harden with the breeze. Cayden's head dipped down, and his lips circled over my nipples. I moaned slowly at the contact, and Cayden's head lifted slightly.

"While my sister may be snoring in the next room, I would be careful with how loud you are," he teased, his head moved back down, circling my other nipples. He bit down ever so slightly, and I bit my lip to silence myself.

My toes curled at the contact as his hand roamed my body, sliding down my hips to my ass. Cayden turned, hovering over me, and his knees popped my knees wide, spreading me.

"This is a beautiful sight," he growled into my ear before he leaned back, seeming to admire the view. "And I would love to memorize it."

I blushed, having no ability to hide even if I wanted to. But I didn't. I enjoyed having Cayden's eyes on me. I could see the hunger like that of a beast staring at a feast.

His lips traveled down over my neck and down my breast. Each kiss left little red marks, and I was panting with need. I was trying so hard to keep quiet, trying to keep it in, and he laughed.

"You really are trying to be quiet," he chirped, flicking one of my nipples.

I inhaled sharply. "I don't need your sister waking up and hearing us. She would lose her shit if she knew we were fucking right now after the day we’ve all had."

He chuckled. "I don't care if she does. I deserve to have you after today."

His fingers tugged at my underwear, sliding them down. His fingers moved, grazing my clit, and I gasped at the contact.

Cayden slid a finger into me, and I moaned, unable to keep it in.

"You're soaking wet," he purred into my ear.

"And it's all for you," I growled back.

I watched his eyes darken as his lips crashed against mine. The kiss was filthy, his tongue sliding into my mouth, taking my breath away.

He slid a second finger into me, and my back arched. But Cayden only moved quicker, his fingers filling and spreading me.

I felt that build-up in my stomach, so close to finishing.

Cayden leaned back, pulling his shorts off, and his cock sprang free. My mouth watered at the sight of it, knowing how he was going to stretch me in a way only he knew how. Cayden hooked my legs, sliding into me in one quick motion.

I inhaled sharply, and my head fell back hard against the pillow. It hurt, yet having him fill me completely felt so good.

Cayden's fingers tightened on my thigh as he slid in and out, grunting softly with each motion. I pulled my hand up, grabbed his back, and felt my nails dig into his skin. "Harder," I moaned slowly.

Cayden's lips pressed against mine roughly as he started to pick up the pace. His grunts grow louder.

"I'm close," I panted, feeling his hand move down, circling my clit. My toes curled once more, feeling that build-up growing once more. I was so close.

He continued to repeat the motion, keeping pace with each thrust. I knew my nails had broken the skin on his back, and I was begging. "Please…oh god damn…so good."

I felt Cayden pulse inside me, which tilted me over the edge as an orgasm took over me. I moaned as I came hard, stars filling the space.

We both panted as we came crashing down, Cayden holding himself up above me.

"Fuck you feel like home," he whispered before he placed a soft kiss on my nose.

I blushed, leaning up and kissed him softly. "Same."

He smiled at me, and my heart skipped a beat. I felt so lucky to have him in my life, and I never wanted to lose him.

"I love you," I admitted. "And I have loved you for so long."

Cayden's smile spread wider. "I love you so much. You have no idea."
