Chapter 14
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Elton
I did not realize how much I would like this.
I mean, watching the porn and doing the porn are two different things. I figured I’d like it some, but not as much as this. Not like this where my blood is soaring through my veins and my heart is beating a mile per minute. The adrenaline of being chased—hunted—is more than I could have expected.
“Oh, fuck me!” I yell as I collide with one of the speakers backstage. My eyes widen and I slam my hand over my open mouth as I realize I’ve given away my position. Fuck, Elton. Be stealthy, motherfucker.
Looking around, I don’t see any sign of Knox. I giggle in victory as I hunch over and tiptoe towards the back storage closet like some 80’s cartoon supervillain. But I can’t stop my somewhat hysterical chuckles as I do. God, this is so much fun.
I decide that hiding in the closet is the best thing I can do right now. I figure maybe it’ll tire him out and I’ll be able to reveal myself as the winner of this sexy little game we’re playing.
I open the closet door slowly, inch by inch, wincing when it creaks obscenely loudly. I wedge myself in the tight space and raise my arm up to turn on the hanging light, but it doesn’t turn on.
It doesn’t fucking turn on.
Now, I’m a grown ass man and there aren’t a lot of things I fear, but the dark… I mean, come on. Who wouldn’t be afraid of the dark? You literally can’t see. That’s terrifying, right?
“So predictable.”
I suck in a sharp breath at the voice on the other side of the door. Predictable? Did Knox… Jesus, he knew I’d come in here. Props to my husband for knowing me well enough to anticipate my plan, but I really thought I could get one over him this time.
“Should I give you to the count of three, sweetheart? Or are you going to let me in willingly?”
I square my shoulders and lift up my chin. My cover is blown, so, fuck it. “I’m not scared of you.”
Yet, I squeak when the door knob starts slowly turning. My breath is caught in my throat. There’s sweat running down my temples as I swallow audibly.
“Are you sure about that, Elton? Isn’t that what you wanted? You wanted to be scared.”
Okay, well, yeah. I did. I do. I realize that there’s no actual way this will ever be real. We can play pretend all we want, and I do want that. But, if this is going to work—as Knox obviously wants it to—I have to play my part.
I dart forward and grab the knob before it can turn all the way. Holding it with all my strength, I try to keep the door closed as best as possible. Love my husband, but I’m a shit ton stronger than he is. “Get away from me!”
There’s a pause and a slight give of the knob before an evil chuckle reverberates around me. “So, we’re going to do this the hard way, then?”
I nod to nobody. “I suppose we are Hunter Daddy.”
There’s silence on the other end. I can tell—I know—that Knox is rolling his eyes and cringing at Hunter Daddy.
But, true to his undying love for me, he just goes with it.
Although, there is a slight amused lilt to his voice as he answers, “Hunter Daddy is going to fuck you so hard, you’ll wish you never ran from him.
He’s going to tear those slutty shorts of yours and show everyone who you belong to. ”
My dick hardens. We’re not exhibitionists. Sure, we’ve had sex in public places, but never with the purpose of actually being caught. Still, the idea of him fucking me in front of all of my friends fills me with horny excitement. I’d never do it, but thinking about it…
“Spare me! Please!” I fake beg.
Suddenly, the door is yanked open, and I fall forward.
Before I can eat shit, Knox’s arms are there to catch me, but they’re not gentle or loving.
No, his hold on me is harsh as he twists my body until he’s dragging me away from the closet.
He doesn’t grab me to the point of pain, but it’s definitely uncomfortable.
But, damn, I like it.
“Where are we going?” I cry out in my most dramatic voice. “Please! Don’t hurt me, Hunter Daddy!”
“Shut up,” he snaps, and I think a part of it is real because he’s actually slightly annoyed. “You ran, I caught you, so I’m going to do whatever the fuck I want to you.”
I gasp the loudest gasp I can when the lights to the stage come on. But they’re not their usual color. They’re tinted red and only light the stage so it looks like we’re bathed in some sort of satanic blood ritual.
Hot.
I’m even more dramatic when he tosses me onto the ground, flopping both ways as I fake a cry. “Oh no! My fate is sealed! Whatever can I do!”
“Elty, you really suck at this!”
“Shut it, Skylar! What the fuck are you still doing here!”
“Didn’t want to miss the show!”
“Cassius…”
“Yeah, I know, I got him!”
There’s a scuttle on the other side of the club—on the balcony where the lights are—and I can’t help but laugh.
Like hysterically. I throw my head back and laugh until my stomach cramps.
I can see Knox pinching the bridge of his masked-nose as he shakes his head.
“I swear to fucking God, I hate everyone.”
Now that the spell is over, I stand on shaky legs and drag him into a hug. “Oh, Grumpy Bear, it’s fine. They’re just having a laugh.”
His upper lip curls in disgust. “I don’t know what I hate more. Hunter Daddy or Grumpy Bear.”
“You hate neither.” I remove his mask so I can press a kiss to his damp forehead. Poor thing looks so disappointed. I know it must have taken a lot of effort to plan all of this, so I rub my nose against his in a gesture of comfort. “Hey, I loved it. It was really fun.”
“Skylar wasn’t wrong, sweetheart. You’re so cringe. Whatever can I do? What are you? A Victorian damsel?”
I slap his shoulder hard. “And you? I’m going to breed you? Where did that come from?”
We both start chuckling in each other’s arms until I sigh and nuzzle my face in the crook of his neck. “It was great, though. I liked Scary Knox.”
He rolls his eyes. “Please, as if you’d ever buy that I could hurt you.”
“No, I’m serious!” I insist. “For a minute there, I was really scared.”
“Sure.”
“I swear!”
“Elton—”
“I love you,” I say quickly, shutting him up and making that sweet smile appear on his brooding face. “Seriously, Knox. Thank you for putting this all together.”
He cups my face in both of his hands. Pressing his forehead against mine, he grins against my lips. “I’d do anything for you. Fuck in a weird mask, have you call me Hunter Daddy, anything. I even delivered those damn Boo Baskets for you.”
My eyes are just a bit misty. Can you blame me? I’m a sensitive guy.
For such a long time, I thought I’d be alone. I never thought that after all those girls that just wanted me for sex or a good time, that I’d find my happily ever after. But I did. Knox came in like a carnal wreckage that simply ruined everything, but in the best way possible.
And I’ll love him until the day I die.
“Let’s go tell Davis he can open the club,” I tell him, linking our hands together. “You can breed me later.”
“Fuck me, I’m never going to live that down, am I?”
“Nope.”
We both laugh before giving each other a quick and chaste kiss. Even though it was a little clunky—and okay maybe I’m not the best actor—it was a perfect Halloween. Now, I just have to see what I’ll do for him next year.
“Aw! That’s so sweet! Now, take your pants off!”
“Skylar!”
