Chapter 32

CHAPTER 32

T hree weeks later

Club Sin and Shame

Willow

Was love a many splendored thing? Was it for those with sappy stories and weak hearts?

Hmmm…

Or maybe the best love affairs were embroiled in danger and adventure. That was now my belief. I’d been looking in the wrong chocolate box, finding mushy candy when I’d been hungry for the hard rock kind of a guy.

Whew. I’d found one. Dimitrios might be a little tarnished in comparison to your average good guy, but I’d take a suave, dangerously delicious devil of man over a wet noodle any day.

Maybe he was right after all. I was a very bad girl.

“I can’t believe you’re getting married tomorrow,” Athena told me.

I shifted my hips back and forth. “Me neither.” I threw back a shot of ouzo and groaned.

“And to that sexy but dangerous man,” Katerina scoffed. “He’s damn good looking. How is he in bed?’ She laughed when I smacked her arm.

“None of your business.” I shivered on purpose and all four girls groaned. True to his word, Dimitrios had brought my best friend Betsy over from Boston.

“We need more drinks,” Betsy said as if she knew I was thinking about her. In the three weeks that had gone by, I’d finally started to heal.

“Agreed.” Chloe hailed a waiter who headed in our direction immediately. He’d obviously been told this was my protected bachelorette party.

As he took our drink orders, I continued dancing. While I was enjoying being out in such a sinful club, I was missing the hunk of a man. He was here somewhere in the club, but I hadn’t seen him in an hour.

“Are you pining away for him?” Athena asked.

“That obvious?”

She laughed. “Girl, you got it bad. I can’t wait to see you in your wedding dress.”

That was something I would miss more than anything. My mother helping me with my dress and my father walking me down the aisle. While my uncle Greg had been given the honors, it sadly wouldn’t be the same. At least Shane had arrived the night before, leaving his work behind.

He knew what I’d do if he hadn’t.

“I’m excited and nervous.” I was, but not nearly as much since I’d been able to spend quality alone time with Dimitrios, other than the three guards he’d brought to the States with him. I’d shown him around Boston, taking him to my favorite places. Some of which he’d remembered from attending Harvard.

I’d decided to sell the house, taking my time going through my parents’ things. It had been rough, but with Dimitrios’ help, I’d gotten through it.

Now it was time to celebrate for real. Not only our love, but the friendship the two of us had developed.

And trust.

The fact he trusted me meant everything to me. I did with him as well.

“You’re going to do great,” Betsy told me as she squeezed my arm. “You’re both lucky. He looks hotter than the picture you showed me a few months ago. More distinguished.”

“Yes, he does. Doesn’t he?”

I was in a dreamlike state when I suddenly noticed my dark prince was advancing on the table like the predator he was. He was wearing a dark suit and with a cobalt tie, he looked heavenly.

“He is a dreamboat,” Katarina whispered. “I heard he has two brothers?”

Leandro’s death remained a slight shadow, but it seemed Dimitrios was at peace.

For now.

“Two. You’ll get to meet them officially tomorrow,” I told her.

“I’m calling first dibs,” Athena said and all the girls started laughing.

Dimitrios closed the distance, nodding to all of them. “Ladies. How is your evening?”

“No boys allowed, but we’ll make an exception for you.” Chloe gave me a pouty look.

“Incorrigible,” I huffed.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to take my bride to be away for just a few minutes. I promise I’ll bring her back mostly unharmed.”

“Oh, wow,” Athena breathed.

“You’re very bad,” I told him.

“You don’t know how bad I can be, but that doesn’t compare to my little dove and her behavior. Now, does it? Why don’t you come with me?”

I’d be damned if the man didn’t have a mischievous look on his face. “What are you doing?”

“Spending some quality time with my fiancée before our wedding.” He led me through the club to what I’d learned was the executive’s private elevator.

“Isn’t that considered bad luck?”

“Nice try.” The elevator arrived almost immediately as he pushed me to the back wall, not bothering to wait until the doors were closed before planting both hands on either side of me. He took a deep breath and I almost melted into a puddle.

“You look beautiful tonight,” he said before lowering his head, nuzzling against my neck.

“You don’t look too bad yourself.”

He brushed his lips back and forth from one side of my jaw to the other before crushing them against mine. There was something even more dangerously obsessive about the heated moment of passion. I wanted to rip off his clothes as it seemed he did with me.

The way he swept his tongue inside electrified all my senses. He’d done so every night, yet it was never enough.

I clung to his shirt, my thong already soaked from the longing burning deep.

As he pulled away, he bit down on my lower lip before whispering, “I plan on devouring you later.”

“Mmm… I think I’d like that. If I can squeeze you in.” I pushed him gently as the elevator doors started to open.

His growl was as adorable as the man himself. I sidestepped him, facing him as I backed down the hallway to his office. When I beckoned him with a single finger, he stopped right then and there, shaking his head. “You’re not in control.”

“Are you sure about that?” I asked in the voice I knew he couldn’t resist.

“Oh, I’m certain.” He never blinked as he followed me down the hall. The door was already open by a crack and I waltzed right in. “What am I going to do with you?”

“Marry me for starters.”

When he closed and locked the door, a rush of excitement tore through me.

“What else?”

“I’ll give you a list. After we return from our honeymoon. Where are you taking me anyway?”

His grin kept shivers tumbling down my spine. “You’ll know when you know. But it involves a bright red plane.”

“You’re kidding. Right? You better be.”

He laughed and backed me against the edge of his desk, crowding my space so I had to arch my back. “I guess you’ll have to wait and see, little dove. Now to more important business.”

“What’s that?”

“Did you really think I’d forget about that spanking you’re owed?”

“What spanking?” I bit down on my lip, tasting a hint of blood from where he’d done so before.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about.” He dropped his head, using his teeth to yank down on the bodice of my dress. As he started to suck my nipple, I couldn’t stop from moaning.

“You are so mean,” I managed. My eyelids were already heavy, my pussy throbbing.

“Mmm…” He took his time, swirling his tongue around my nipple before rubbing his lips across my chest from one breast to the other.

“Oh, my,” I whispered and closed my eyes. Waves of pleasure rushed up and down the length of my body. I was in a true moment of heaven on earth.

He dazzled me with his mouth, continuing to drive me crazy, enough so I tried to reach the already thick bulge between his legs. He was having none of my attempt at control, pulling my hand away and securing it on the desk with his.

I was crazed with desire, my nipples so hard they ached.

The man was almost as conniving as I was. When he pulled away, I gasped, but not soon enough to matter. He spun me around, tossing me over the edge of his desk.

“When I promise I’m going to do something, I will keep it.”

With one swift move, he yanked down my thong. When he didn’t bring his hand down immediately, I threw my head over my shoulder. Oh, dear God. He was unfastening his belt.

“You are not going to spank me.”

He grinned. “Oh, yes, I am. My perfect little dove. When are you going to learn to obey?”

The moment he yanked the leather strap from his beltloops, I moaned louder than I had before. Just s split second before he cracked the belt down on my bottom, I gave him my answer.

“Never.”

The hard slap of the leather was followed by several more. Yes, there was pain shooting down my legs, but I’d never been so wet in my life.

I’d tried to believe in love, but the years of hoping and fantasizing had never brought anything but sadness.

Until fate had brought the two of us together.

Tragic? Yes.

Defying logic? Without a doubt.

Sinful? You bet and I loved every moment of it.

As I did that man who would soon become my husband.

The End
