Once upon a time Greyson Hendricks was the only thing I ever wanted, but that was a long time ago. Now I’m focused on more practical matters … namely satisfying my grandmother’s ridiculous demand that I get married so that she doesn’t cut off me and (more importantly) my sister. There’s only one problem: I’m jilted an hour before my wedding, I do the only logical thing a girl in a wedding dress can do. I call in that marriage pact Greyson and I made as teenagers. Surely I can convince him to be my husband for just one day.

I was prepared to ask Annabelle Greer to be my wife at the tender age of sixteen. Mostly to prevent her grandmother from forcing her to move away from Saddle Creek. We made a pact that day, pledging to marry each other if we found ourselves single as adults. So when she calls in the favor, I’m only too happy to oblige. In less than five minutes I go from wedding guest to groom. She might think our marriage is for convenience sake, but I take my vows seriously. Now I need to woo my wife to show her we’ve belonged together all along.
