Melissa
W hen did he become so smooth?
I didn’t have time to ask before he was pulling me off the bed like it was effortless. One arm wrapped around my waist, plastering me against his side, while the other cupped my jaw, running his thumb along my bottom lip. I had maybe a million questions, but they all flew right out the window when he dipped his head to kiss me again.
My fingers curled in his stupid tight t-shirt that showed just how often he worked out. I saw the weights in the corner of the garage, he obviously took the time to exercise, and his body definitely showed it. I’d never seen it, he wore t-shirts even on beach days with the kids, and after years of pining, I had almost no reservations about joining him. There was only one thing that stopped me.
“What about Xander? If he gets scared, he’ll come looking for me.”
He leaned his forehead against mine, frowning for a second. “Hold on.”
He released me long enough to step back into the hallway and knocked on Xander’s door, opening it just enough to speak to him.
“Yeah? ”
“You stole my dog. I’m stealing Mel for the night. If you need us, we’ll be downstairs.”
Xander huffed out a laugh. “Fair. Okay. Thanks Mattias.”
When he came back with a stupid grin on his face, I couldn’t help but laugh. “You couldn’t have lied?”
He shook his head. “I’m not pretending we aren’t a thing, Mel. He’d figure it out eventually. Come on.”
When he offered me his hand, my stomach fluttered, and I felt a flush fill my cheeks. I couldn’t even guess how many times I wished he would look at me like that. With heat and promise in his eyes. I took his hand, telling myself not to swoon when he drew me in close and pressed another slow kiss to my lips.
I almost wanted to drag him to my bed. It was so much closer and the trip to his room seemed daunting. But with Xander just next door, I knew we couldn’t. Xander’s room was above Wraith’s, so we still needed to be quiet, but at least a floor between us was better than a thin wall.
My heart was pounding the whole walk to Wraith’s room. Excitement and nerves made my belly clench and unclench repeatedly. Being with Wraith was everything I’d wanted for years, and I was a little afraid of taking the leap. What if we weren’t compatible in bed? What if he fought with Wyatt and potentially ruined their friendship over nothing? What if–
We stopped just outside his door, and he turned to face me. “Hey. If you’d prefer to wait…”
He looked worried, his thumb drifting gently over my cheek. I shook my head, holding his wrist so he didn’t let go.
“No. I want to. I’ve wanted to for a while.”
The corners of his mouth kicked up, and he leaned in for another slow kiss. Those should be illegal. They were like drugs, making me feel all floaty and breathless.
“Me too.”
Surprised, I spluttered a little, but he didn’t give me a chance to ask questions. He tugged me into his room, closing the door behind us, and we were instantly swallowed by darkness.
“Woah.”
He chuckled and moved away from me, his strides even as he crossed the dark without tripping once. A light flicked on and I looked around, surprised. I’d never been in here before. I only ever caught glimpses when I picked up Thor and opened the bedroom door to call for him. I actually started laughing when I looked around.
“You’re a slob! I never would’ve guessed!”
He rolled his eyes, kicking some clothes out of the way. “Shut up. Like you’re any better.”
True. But unlike him, my slobbishness was not just confined to my bedroom. The only time I regularly kept my house clean was when I had guests. I was a nurse who worked odd hours. Cleaning was very low on my priority list.
Closing the distance between us, I threw my arms around his neck. “I guess we can just be slobs together then.”
He grinned, wrapping his arms around me as he dipped his head. It started slow, like with the first kiss, making my blood sizzle with heat that pooled low in my belly. I’d never been with such a good kisser that they could make me breathless without even getting tongues involved. He dipped a little, banding his arms just below my butt as he lifted me off my feet and laid me on the bed. He didn’t toss me or nudge me to get up by myself. He dropped back slowly, keeping his mouth on mine the entire time. It was like he wanted me to swoon.
Unlike most guys, Wraith was in no rush. He laid on top of me and we made out like teenagers until I was so needy, it was embarrassing. He wouldn’t let me hurry things along. When I tugged at his shirt to remove it, he laced our fingers together and pinned my hands by my head. I whimpered, lifting up enough to press my body against his, and I felt that stupid sexy grin against my lips.
“Why are you torturing me?” I demanded, ripping my mouth away from his.
“Why are you in such a hurry? We’ve got all night,” he murmured, brushing kisses down my neck. I shivered, tipping my head to give him more room, even while I carped at him.
“Years of waiting, Mattias,” I ground out.
He sucked in a breath, lifting enough to look at me. “Say that again.”
I rolled my eyes. “What? You really expect me to use your road name while we’re–”
“No. Just say it again. ”
It took a second for me to figure out why. It was the heated look in his eye that tipped me off. He liked it. I bit my lip, shaking my head to deny him. He growled, nipping at my bottom lip.
“Do it, Mel.”
“Not until you agree to do more than kiss me. If you make me wait much longer, I’m going to spontaneously combust.”
He chuckled, tangling his tongue with mine in a filthy kiss before his fingers flexed. “Brat. Fine. You first.”
I shook my head slowly, a teasing grin on my face. He wasn’t going to pull the wool over my eyes. I could see right through him. And I was just as stubborn as he was.
Releasing one of my hands, he reached over his head, fisting his t-shirt and pulling it off in one smooth movement. He tossed it aside, raising an eyebrow at me. I still shook my head, grinning as he removed my clothes and his, one article at a time, growing more and more impatient as he did. Good, I wanted him to feel as wild as I did. And when he laid back on top of me, fully naked and oh so gorgeous, I finally gave him what he wanted.
“Touch me, Mattias.”
He groaned, long and loud, leaning his forehead against my shoulder. “You’re evil.”
“Says the guy who– oh!” I yelped and then gasped as he rolled us over and put me on top of him. Sitting naked on top of him put me on full display and if I wasn’t fully confident in my own skin, I’d be uncomfortable. Thankfully, I wasn’t the shy type, and the angle gave me room to explore too.
Running my hands over his chest, I admired his tattoos. His right arm was a full sleeve that looked like the whole limb was mechanical. It spread onto his chest and made him look like he was part motorcycle. Which I was sure was what he was going for. I scooted down lower, running my fingers along the bumps of his abs. He groaned, gripping my hips tightly when I hit the right angle and ground against his dick.
“Fuck, Mel,” he choked out. His fingers flexed, like he wanted to make me do it again. I obliged, grinning at the way he sucked in a breath and gritted his teeth, like he was trying to keep himself in check and was losing the battle .
I leaned over him, my weight on my hands by his head, and gave him a smug grin. “Is something wrong?”
He lost the will to stop himself, using the grip on my hips to move me up and down against his erection. He lifted his head, capturing my lips in a fierce kiss, but when he sat up suddenly, it took me by surprise. He kept me against him, dragging kisses down my neck to my chest. I kept moving, grinding against him as he sucked my nipple into his mouth. I moaned, though I did my best to muffle the sound. He kept going, every once in a while switching sides, until I was so wet and needy, I was basically coating him in my arousal.
“Mattias…”
He broke away, keeping me plastered against him as he leaned far enough to snag a condom out of his nightstand. He ripped it open with his teeth, which thrilled me to no end, but he wouldn’t let me help put it on him. He rolled it on with quick efficiency before dragging me back into his lap and capturing my lips again. I felt the blunt tip of his cock press against my entrance and I tried to move enough to sink down, but Mattias wouldn’t allow me to take over. He gripped my hips, slowing my movements until he controlled my descent. Inch after inch of him sank inside me, and neither of us seemed to be able to look away from each other’s eyes.
Just like when we started, he was in no rush. Once he was fully inside me and I had time to adjust, he lifted me slowly off him and slid me back down again, dragging moan after moan out of me. The position we were in kept my body pressed against his, our lips inches apart. He cupped the back of my neck, drawing me closer, while keeping the pace slow and torturous.
Which was all well and good, but I wanted more. And I wasn’t afraid to take it for myself. While I distracted him with another slow kiss, I ran my hands down his arms to lace our fingers together again. He seemed happy to go along with it until I pushed him onto his back and pinned him like he had pinned me earlier. His brow furrowed just a little, but before he could ask, I lifted my hips and sank back down, faster that time. He groaned and his hips bucked up to meet mine on the next roll of my hips.
“Ah, fuck, Mel,” he groaned. “You’re killing me.”
“Fair’s fair,” I murmured, sinking my teeth into his lower lip. It was like that move snapped his control because he pulled his hands free and flipped us, slamming his hips against mine. I moaned, wrapping my legs around his hips. He looked a little feral, pistoning his hips in just the right way to send me skyrocketing towards release. It was hard to concentrate on staying quiet when he was doing everything right. One of his hands slipped under my hips, lifting me just enough to make me cry out. I slapped my palm over my mouth to muffle it, but Mattias pulled my hand away, kissing me instead.
I felt my body tighten, and I sucked in a breath, edging closer and closer to oblivion. I knew it was coming, and it still took me by surprise when it slammed into me, my moans muffled against Mattais’s mouth. He wasn’t far behind me, his hips stuttering before he pulled away to groan against my neck.
We were both fighting for breath, clinging to each other, our skin slicked with sweat. And it was just as perfect as I imagined it would be.
