CHAPTER 37
“The end is here…”
ISABELLE CAMPBELL
Six Months Later
Colin and I got married last month.
It was a simple ceremony, held right here at the mansion. We both agreed that’s how we wanted it—intimate, with only the people who truly mattered in our lives.
We asked Lauren and Henry to be our best man and maid of honor, and I swear there was some flirting going on after the ceremony. But honestly, knowing Colin’s friend—and knowing Lauren—I can’t say I was surprised.
As for the wedding itself… I cried. A lot. I know, that’s not exactly new for me, but this time it felt different. It was special. I’d never felt truly loved by any man before, and now I can say I’ve found the love of my life.
A stubborn, hardheaded, hot-tempered, restless man… but still, gorgeous, charming—
Okay, I’m getting carried away. It’s just that…
I find myself admiring him more and more every day, even knowing how Colin can be about certain things.
We’re very different, but now I realize those differences are exactly what make us work so well together.
Was it hard at first? Yeah, it was. But when love’s involved, everything changes.
And it did.
Every day, I hear the words “I love you.” Not just from him—From Hanna and Joshua, too.
Those two are practically glued to me all the time, and for the first time, I feel what it means to have a family. Truly. I can honestly say I’m happier than I’ve ever been… blessed with a home that’s full of laughter, warmth, and love.
