Chapter Eighteen

Dallas

I’d taken a few extra shifts of late because the restaurant had a huge uptake of customers since a video of the place went viral for its giant fried cheese sticks coated with a sticky, garlicky, spicy coating. I’d tried them, along with the other servers, but I didn’t care for them. The taste was good, but afterward, there was an icky heaviness in my tummy that wasn’t the best for a long shift. The customers ate them up, but I preferred my tiny burgers or pizza cupcakes any day.

After my shift, I realized the little boutique store was still open. It was on the way home from my job, and I had an idea. Colter, Ari, and I had been together a few weeks. We went on dates, not only to Chained but to all kinds of places. Ari took us to the latest movie. We went to a late showing and, since it was a kids’ show, there were very few people there.

There may or may not have been making out in the back seats—could not confirm.

Okay, yeah, there was totally making out.

Colter and I made Ari dinner one night at home while the other littles were out at the club. It was a simple pasta with jarred sauce and frozen garlic bread, but our Ari ate it up like it was from a five-star restaurant. He praised us no matter what we did, but equally, gently told us when we weren’t following the rules.

I had grown to love both of them. Of course, I hadn’t said the words, but the feelings were there all the same.

I stopped at the little store and purchased a onesie that Colter had his eye on the week before. It was a bit pricey, but I had his name embroidered on the chest. The owner had even added a rattle to embellish his name.

Hopefully, he liked it.

Once I got home, I found Colter in our room. He was in his regular clothes and watching a video on YouTube. He and I had explored different things and, while we liked to watch different shows, we had some that we kept up with together.

He wasn’t only the other little I was dating. He was my best friend.

Still, I wanted more. We had made out with Ari but, between the two of us, there had been nothing more than kissing.

“Hard day?” he asked, putting away the tablet as soon as I walked in.

“I look that bad?” I laughed and perched on the edge of his bed. My tummy was a flurry of nervousness about the gift I’d bought him. Were daddies the only ones who could buy these kinds of things for their littles?

Had I overstepped some kind of line?

A sick feeling had already settled in my stomach when Colter asked, “What’s in the bag?”

Crap. I shouldn’t have brought the bag in here before I was sure.

The weight of my decision began to press down on me when Colter reached for the pale-blue bag. “Dallas? Did you go to the boutique? Why are you nervous? I can practically feel it in the air.”

No use trying to play it off now. “I…I bought you something.” My words came out in a stutter. The last thing I wanted to do was pop this perfect bubble we’d blown.

“From the little shop? Thank you so much. Can I see it?” Colter scooted over toward me and rubbed his hand along the bottom of my back.

I handed him the bag, holding my breath while he took the gift out and looked at it. “It’s okay if you don’t like it.”

“Like it? Dallas, I love it. I can’t wait to wear it when we play next.”

Relief washed over me. All my apprehensions dissipated. “Really? I didn’t know if it was okay for me to buy it for you.”

“It is. Thank you.” We shared a kiss but I wished it was so much more. “How about we have a sleepover tonight?” He smiled at me, and there was no way I could say anything but yes.

“That sounds great. Jammies? Snacks?”

“I’ll set up the movie. Why don’t you get ready?”

After showering, I threw on my jammies and ran downstairs for juice boxes and our mythical-creature cookies. I especially liked the unicorn cookies.

When I went back to the bedroom, he smiled at me. He wore his train jammies, and I wore my car ones. We only made it through one movie before we yawned and got sleepy. We turned the lights off, except the nightlight, and lay down, facing each other.

“I’m so tired, but I don’t want to say good night,” he whispered and scooted closer. Our noses were only an inch apart. His sweet breath fanned over my face. My cock was hard but the truth was, it had been since seeing him in his jammies when I walked in.

I overthought and overthought and overthought until…his lips met mine.

My hand moved to slide over his clothed hip and I moved closer, needing all of him to be touching all of me. He reached out and stroked my cock, hand on the outside of my cock and I did the same to him. The kisses intensified, and he moved to lie on top of me. Our hips rocked together while our hands explored.

An orgasm built within me and before I knew it, I exploded, crying out his name.

For a split second, I was embarrassed—until Colter exploded on top of me.

We both smiled and laughed. “That was…” I said, pecking him on the lips once more.

“Yeah. It was.”

We fell asleep holding hands and, in more ways than one, I was completely sated.
