Chapter Thirty

Noah

I stand in front of the mirror, adjusting my tux, taking a deep breath as I look at my reflection.

Today’s the day. The day I’m marrying Blossom.

The excitement in my chest is overwhelming, but there’s also a quiet calm that settles over me. I’ve never been more certain of anything in my life. I pull the collar of my jacket straight, trying to focus on the task at hand.

The babies are a year old now. Time has flown by, but it feels like this has been such a long time coming.

I think back on everything, on how much we’ve been through together, and I can’t help but smile. From the sleepless nights with the triplets to the chaos of early parenthood, every moment with Blossom and the kids has been an adventure, and now here we are.

I’m about to marry the woman I love.

I look at myself again in the mirror, straightening my tie one last time, and I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I’m about to make a promise to her, to build a future together, and nothing has ever felt more right.

I check my watch. Soon, the ceremony will begin, and Blossom will be walking down the aisle toward me. I can already picture it, and I can’t wait for it to finally be real.

There’s a knock at the door, and I turn around to see Nicole coming in, a smile on her face as she enters.

“Well, look at you,” she says, her eyes sweeping over my tux. “I have to say, you clean up well.”

I grin, feeling the warmth of her presence. “Thanks, Nicole. Can you believe this day is actually here?”

Nicole’s smile softens, and she gives me a knowing look. “I’m happy for you, Noah. Really. You deserve this.” She rolls closer and pulls me into a hug. I return the gesture, feeling the genuine love she has for me.

When we pull away, she grins and shakes her head. “You know,” she says, “it’s only a matter of time before it’s my turn. And I’m not talking about getting dressed up.”

I raise an eyebrow, chuckling. “Is that so?”

Nicole’s eyes twinkle, and she pulls out a small box from her pocket, flipping it open to reveal a huge diamond ring. I blink in surprise, not expecting this.

“I’ve been thinking about it,” she admits. “I wanted to ask if it’s okay for me to propose to Amy at your wedding.” She laughs nervously, almost apologetic. “I didn’t want to be annoying, but I thought it might be a good moment to do it.”

My heart swells with pride. “Of course you can, Nicole. I think she’s going to say yes. It’s obvious how much you mean to her.”

Nicole’s smile is wide as she listens to me. “Really?” she asks, her voice almost disbelieving.

I nod, my tone serious. “The way she looks at you, sis…she loves you, and you love her just the same. Trust me.”

Nicole wipes a stray tear from her cheek, her eyes full of emotion. “I know,” she says quietly. “I see that same look in Blossom’s eye when she looks at you.”

My heart skips a beat, and I smile at her, the moment settling over me. It’s a reminder of what’s so special about my relationship with Blossom. We’ve been through so much together, but the love we share feels like it’s been there from the start, even in ways we couldn’t have understood at first.

I hug Nicole tightly again, squeezing her gently. “I’m proud of you. Amy’s a lucky woman.”

Nicole laughs softly, brushing away another tear. “You’re right. I’m lucky, too.”

I take a step back and look her over. “Now, go ahead and get that proposal ready. But you better hurry, because the bride is almost ready, and I’m not keeping her waiting much longer.”

She smiles, her face lighting up. “You got it. Don’t make her wait too long, Noah. You two deserve this.”

With a final hug, she heads out of the room, and I take a deep breath, looking at the door. I’m about to marry the love of my life. My heart is racing with anticipation.

I stand in the quiet of the room, alone for just a few moments, letting everything sink in. I think back on the last couple of years, of how everything changed so quickly. It feels like a lifetime ago that I met Blossom.

For years, I carried Whittney’s memory like a weight I couldn’t put down, but standing here now, I realize I’ve finally let go. I will always love Whittney, but it's no longer heavy. Blossom is my future.

A simple meeting at a wedding, one night of passion, and then, suddenly, my world was turned upside down.

I think about Zack, the chaos that came with him, and Courtney, God, I never thought I’d have to deal with someone like her.

But despite everything, Blossom and I stuck together. The pregnancy, the triplets...all of it, it’s all more than I ever thought I could handle. But we’ve made it through. And now, here we are.

I glance at the clock. The ceremony’s about to start. I feel a lump in my throat when I think about Blossom walking down that aisle.

In this room, just a few feet away from the woman who’s changed my life, I feel a profound sense of gratitude. We’ve built this together: the babies, the love, the family. Every challenge, every hurdle, it’s been worth it.

I take a deep breath and look at myself in the mirror once more. This is it. We’ve come a long way, but this is just the beginning. I’m ready to marry Blossom. And I know she’s ready, too.

The elevator hums softly as we ascend toward the rooftop. I can barely contain my excitement, my heart beating faster with each floor I pass.

It feels surreal, like my whole life has been building to this moment, this incredible moment where I get to marry the love of my life. The doors open with a soft chime, and as I step onto the rooftop, I’m met with the sight of the most beautiful setup I could’ve imagined.

The entire space has been transformed for the wedding.

White tents cover the tables and the buffet and bar, the soft cloth billowing slightly in the cool autumn breeze. The seating arrangement leads to the altar at the far end of the rooftop, and the entire space is bathed in soft, golden light.

The sun is still high enough to warm the air, but the crispness of early autumn has started to settle in, adding a perfect balance. It’s like something out of a dream.

I smile, taking in the beauty of it all, my eyes scanning every detail. There’s a huge floral arrangement behind the altar, carefully chosen to reflect Blossom’s favorite colors. The flowers look like they belong to the sky itself, lush, vibrant, and alive.

This is where I proposed to Blossom, and now it’s where I’ll marry her. The thought hits me with a burst of warmth. My whole life is about to change, and I can’t wait for this phase to begin.

I make my way to the altar, taking a deep breath to calm my nerves. The officiant is already there, greeting me with a friendly smile. I exchange a few words with him, the conversation light and full of laughter.

I can’t stop smiling as I look out at the guests, all seated and chatting as they wait for the ceremony to begin.

I feel an overwhelming sense of excitement. Everything’s perfect: the setup, the weather, the anticipation. As I stand by the altar, my eyes flicker to the guests, spotting my mom and Blossom’s mom, both smiling at the beauty of the day.

Then, the music starts, the first notes of the song we’d picked playing softly through the air. The entire crowd falls silent, and I turn to face the aisle, my heart racing as I wait for Blossom to appear.

And then, I see her.

Blossom steps into view, radiant and glowing, a vision in a white gown that seems to shimmer in the sunlight. The intricate beading and lace that adorn her dress make it look like a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, each detail catching the light in its own way.

My breath catches in my throat. She’s even more beautiful than I imagined.

I watch her approach, feeling the weight of the moment.

This is it. She’s the one I’m going to spend forever with.

The ceremony is a blur of emotion: our vows, our promises, and the overwhelming joy of finally becoming one. I can’t believe I’m standing here, in front of all our friends and family, promising my love to the woman I cherish more than anything.

The words I say to her are from my heart, and I can feel the weight of each one.

Blossom’s face is flushed with emotion as she reads her vows to me, her voice trembling with sincerity. I see tears in her eyes. This moment is everything I’ve ever wanted and more.

I glance over at the babies, who are being held by Blossom’s mom and Amy. Jackson, Ruby, and Theo are being fussy, but it doesn’t matter. They’re here, and they’re part of this. Our family is whole.

When I slip the ring onto Blossom’s finger, I can barely hold back my tears. She’s mine. Forever.

I slide her ring on her finger, and as we stand there, looking into each other’s eyes, we both burst into happy tears. I lean down and kiss her, sealing the vows we’ve made to each other.

The applause that erupts around us feels distant, because in this moment, it’s just the two of us, bound together by love.

The reception is a beautiful blur of food, dancing, and laughter. The sun has set, and the rooftop is now illuminated by twinkling string lights, casting a warm, romantic glow over the venue. The air is cool, the perfect temperature for dancing.

Blossom and I hold each other close, lost in the rhythm of the music. She’s so beautiful in her wedding gown, her smile radiant, and I can’t take my eyes off her.

We dance for what feels like hours, swaying to the music, lost in our own world. I’m blissfully happy. This is everything I’ve ever wanted. Our friends and family are all around us, celebrating the love that Blossom and I share. It’s perfect.

Then, out of nowhere, Nicole grabs Amy’s hand and pulls her to the center of the dance floor. The crowd grows quiet, and I can see something’s happening.

Nicole drops to one knee, and Amy gasps, hands covering her mouth in surprise. Nicole holds out a ring, and I can see the emotion in both of their eyes.

Amy says yes, her voice trembling, and they kiss. The crowd erupts in cheers, and I find myself laughing, my heart swelling with happiness for my sister and Amy. They’re going to get married, too.

This is what love looks like—our entire family, connected, bound by love, just like Blossom and me.

The whole rooftop celebrates, and I pull Blossom close again, grateful for this day, for this life we’re building together.
