C ASH CALLING REAPER and saying he found Chad when he was supposedly on his way to Fallen Ink was the break we’ve been needing for three fucking days. The second I went down to the common room and saw Cash missing, I knew he was going out to do something stupid as hell. Only this time I can’t even find it in me to be pissed at him. He managed to do what no one else in this club could and found out where our ol’ lady is being held. Yes, I did lose my shit when I heard Cash say that he’d found out where Chad’s hiding. The worst fucking part is that she’s less than fifteen minutes from our clubhouse. Rebel’s been that close to us this entire time and we haven’t gone to her in all this time. She’s been left in the hands of Chad and Fawn and I can just imagine the shit they’ve put her through while they’ve had her. I can’t stand the thought of the pain she’s had to endure. My only hope now is that Cash didn’t hear me lose my shit because he needs to focus on Rebel and keeping her safe until we get to her.
“Let’s roll out,” Reaper calls as he walks back into the common room and looks at everyone.
He called them all in the second Cash hung up on him and had my brother help him so we could get the fuck out of here and to the cabin our girl’s in. Thankfully it didn’t take very long for them to head back here so we could get on the road. Hawk had enough time to get the blueprints for the cabin she’s at and went over the house plans while we were waiting. My brother knows every single inch of the cabin already and is already putting a plan together with Reaper about how we’re going in. I’ve kind of listened to them while thinking about everything. The only thing I know is there’s only one exit and entrance to the house and Cash already said all the windows are boarded up. That’s the best part and it will definitely work in our favor because Chad and Fawn won’t be able to see us get anywhere near the place.
I grab my extra ammo from the table in front of me and carry it out to my bike. Putting it in the saddle bags, I straddle my bike and start the engine while sitting next to Reaper. When we’re all ready, Reaper puts his hand in the air and spins one finger in a circular motion as he always does when the entire club rides out. We all pull out one-by-one and head for the gate Kal has already opened for us. Riding through, I look in my mirror to see another Prospect following behind us in an SUV and I know it’s for our girl when we get her back. Everyone here is thinking she won’t be able to ride our bike back to the clubhouse and they’re prepared to take her in the SUV to the hospital. Doc is in there and he’ll check her over and make the decision about where she goes once we have her back again.
Riding through town, we look for the dirt road to pull onto so we can make our way to Cash and Rebel. Reaper starts slowing down when we get closer and we all follow his actions. Riding down the dirt road, it’s overgrown and we have to ride single file because there’s no way in hell we’ll be able to make it if we ride side-by-side. The only reason we can ride the way we are is because of Chad and his travel up and down the road from the cabin. He’s compacted the dirt down and gotten rid of some of the overgrown grass we’d have to ride through if it weren’t for him and Fawn.
Reaper holds his hand up and we all watch him pull over. It doesn’t take me more than a few seconds to realize he’s found Cash’s bike and is parking next to it. We all follow him and pull in behind the bush and a few small trees. Shutting off our engines, Reaper gets off his bike and heads over to talk to the Prospects for a minute before coming back to where the rest of us stand.
“We’re gonna walk up and find Cash before we go over a plan. When we’ve got our plan in place, your first priority is to get to Rebel and get her out of the cabin. Eagle and Cash will be with whoever finds their ol’ lady and will get her the medical help she needs. The rest of us will get Chad and Fawn secured and back to the clubhouse. We’ll deal with them once we have time and know Rebel is gonna be okay,” Reaper states, his voice strong but quiet because he doesn’t want anyone to overhear us when we have no clue where anyone is on the property or how many people are actually here. That’s information we’ll have to get from Cash when we meet up with him.
Our group of men walk toward the cabin and it doesn’t take long for the derelict building to come into view. My eyes are roaming all over the place as I look for Cash. It doesn’t take me long to find him on the side of the house. Rage covers his face as I let my eyes drift down to find his fists clenching and unclenching by his side. Whatever he’s hearing right now is pissing him the fuck off and he’s ready to snap. I rush to his side and pull him back from the building just a little so we can figure out what’s going on and what he’s heard while waiting for us to get to him and Rebel.
“Calm down, Cash. We need the information you have so we can go in and get Rebel. Hawk has the blueprints and there’s only one way in and out of the place,” I tell him, my voice barely above a whisper. “How many people are in there with Rebel?”
“There’s three in there with her. Fawn, Chad, and some guy who’s essentially a hired assassin from the loan shark. The plan is for them to get her to sign the papers to transfer her money over to Chad and then this asshole will beat the fuck out of her. They don’t give a fuck if she lives or dies at this point. If anythin’, they’re hopin’ she dies. At least Chad is. He truly doesn’t give a fuck what the hell happens to her,” Cash informs us as rage fills his voice and makes me realize how truly dire this situation is.
“Okay. The front door is the only way in and out of the cabin. Do you know where they are in the place?” Hawk questions Cash as he lays out the blueprints so we can all see them.
“They’re right in the front in the living room area. Rebel’s been strapped down to something and they’re just tryin’ to figure out how to make her sign the papers when her wrist is broken. However, our girl isn’t just takin’ the shit they’re dishin’ out. Rebel is still all sorts of shit between the three of them. Includin’ lettin’ it slip that they’re each just waitin’ for her signature so they can betray one another and steal the money out from one another. Not to mention that she’s tellin’ Chad how Fawn keeps tryin’ to fuck us and shit. She’s losin’ her fuckin’ mind and ready to go the fuck off. We gotta get in there to take Rebel out of there. Right. Now,” Cash says, his voice hard and cold as he looks around our group and shows us how serious he is about this with all the emotion gone from his face. Right now, Cash looks like a fucking killer ready to burn the world down. I have no doubt he’ll do just that because Rebel is involved and the two of us will do anything for her.
“Okay. Eagle and Cash will hold back and let the rest of us in first. Titan, you’re with them. Savage, you’re with me. I want a few guys around the house just in case one of them chooses to bust through the boarded up windows and get away from us. When we leave here today, I want to ensure all three of them are back at the clubhouse in the cells. We’ll deal with the loan sharks and shit when we’re done here. After beating the fuck out of them, I couldn’t give a fuck if we turn Chad over to them and let them finish all three of them off,” Reaper orders as we all look at him and wait for him to give the signal to move out.
Reaper goes over a few more details and then we all make our way to surround the cabin. Hawk and Red will be the first ones through the door with Panther right behind them. Cash and I will enter the room and head directly for our girl. We get behind the group at the door while everyone else moves to surround the house just to be safe. Most of them will be toward the front of the cabin since there aren’t many windows at the back according to Cash and the blueprints.
“On my count,” Reaper’s order comes through the comms we’re all using. Hawk handed them out just before we left the clubhouse and I made sure Cash got one when we found him here. “Three. Two. One.”
Hawk kicks in the door while Red covers him. Panther is ready in case something happens to Red. We rush in the cabin and I almost die when I take in the sight before us. Strapped to a table in the center of the empty living room is Rebel. She’s only wearing her bra and a pair of panties. My eyes drift down to the ankle that was injured at Entice. It’s a mangled mess and I know it’s infected. There’s no way in hell the wound isn’t infected considering how red, swollen, and raw the area is. Her wrists are in the same condition from what I can see and you can definitely tell which of her hands is broken with how it’s laying against the metal table. Several bruises and cuts cover her naked skin as Cash and I go to race toward our girl. We only come to a halt when we take in the scene around us.
“If any of you take another step closer to us, I’ll slit her neck and let her bleed out right in front of you,” Fawn states, her voice grating on my nerves as she smirks at us.
Fawn looks as if she’s won and we won’t make a move against her because she’s too close to our girl with a knife in her hand. However, she has no clue we’ll always have the upper hand when it comes to Rebel.
“Are you sure about that?” I ask her, glaring in her direction as she falters for a few seconds and that’s the only opening we need.
Hawk rushes forward toward Chad while Panther and Red take out the other asshole. I haven’t managed to get a good look at him yet, but eventually I will. Fawn screams in shock and drops the knife as the guys are taken out quickly. Rebel’s eyes appear to be darting around the room as Cash and I rush to her side and start to unbind her wrists and ankles. Blood is on the table beneath her and soaked into the straps that were holding her down. Cash and I both reach down immediately and then hesitate because we have no clue where the fuck to touch her body. Rebel is literally so covered in cuts and bruises there isn’t an inch of her that hasn’t been touched or marked in one way or another.
“Sweet Girl, we’re here and are gonna get you outta here,” I say, bending down close to her face as I look at her face and see tears streaming down her cheeks to land on the table beneath her. “We just have to figure out where to touch you so we don’t cause you anymore pain.”
“No!” Fawn suddenly screams out, bringing all of our attention back to her once again which is always her ultimate goal. “This isn’t happening. That bitch has to sign the papers so the rest of us get what we’re owed. You’re not taking her until then,”
“Like hell we’re not. That money doesn’t belong to you and it never will. Rebel’s money is gonna stay where it is and there’s nothin’ any of you can do about it,” Cash states, his voice hard and cold while he glares daggers at the three of them.
“Eagle, Baby, are you really gonna choose Rebel over me? You know you want me and are just playing games to make me work for it. When is this gonna end?” Fawn questions me, batting her eyes as if it’s sexy and something I like. The reality of the situation is she’s not sexy in the least and I don’t want her. I’ve never wanted her.
“You’re a skank and always will be. No one will ever want you because you’re a manipulative bitch who will do anythin’ to get your way. That paperwork is the last thing you need to worry about because the ol’ ladies of the club are about to ruin your fuckin’ life. They’ll rip you limb from limb and you’ll be beggin’ for death to take you. I hope they make it hurt the way you’ve made Rebel hurt,” I growl out, my voice hard and cold as I look at her. “Rebel is our ol’ lady and that won’t ever change. We love her and will protect her with our lives. Can you say you’d do the same for anyone close to you?”
Fawn doesn’t say anything for a few minutes. She looks at me with confusion filling her face and a smirk still in place.
“That’s a lie. I’ve told you before she won’t give you what you want or need. Rebel is a frigid bitch who will only make the two of you miserable,” Fawn says, her voice sweet as she tries to move closer to the two of us.
“The fuck are you talking about, Fawn? You said you didn’t want them and were just playing the game until you could get what you wanted. That this was all a game until Rebel gave us what belongs to us,” Chad yells out, his face turning red as he glares at Fawn. “It looks like Rebel was right and you are playing us all. This is your endgame, isn’t it? You’re gonna try to take the money from me and then you’ll disappear to live your life without any of us around. Without me.”
“Chad, that’s not what I’m doing!” Fawn screeches, turning to face him as I look between the two of them.
“Yeah, it is,” he says as he turns his back on her while Hawk and Red lift him from the floor.
At the same time, Reaper and the rest of the guys enter the cabin and look around at what’s going on. When his eyes land on Rebel, I watch as they widen in shock before he blanks his face again.
“Eagle and Cash, get Rebel outta here. The SUV has been moved up and is right outside the door. Get her to the hospital. Doc isn’t gonna tell you to take her anywhere other than there. Her injuries are too extensive. Another Prospect just got here with a van to deal with these ass wipes. Let’s get this shit cleaned up. We’re gonna burn this shit to the ground,” Reaper orders as Cash and I try to figure out how to lift Rebel from the table.
Rebel still hasn’t said anything as she moves her head like she’s trying to look up at us. Her eyes are swollen closed and I know her head is pounding. There’s no way the damage hasn’t been extensive enough not to leave her with a migraine from hell. I don’t even know if she can talk at this point since we can’t see the internal damage. Looking over at Cash, his eyes are wet while he looks down at her. I move forward and reach under Rebel’s body to get a hold on her so I can lift her into my arms.
“Sweet Girl, I’m so fuckin’ sorry. This is gonna hurt and there’s nothin’ I can do about it. I’ll make this as painless as possible, Rebel, I promise you that,” I tell her as Cash rushes over to my side while Rebel whimpers as I lift her in my arms and bring her close to my body.
A path clears from the men surrounding us so we can leave the cabin. Fawn is screeching in the background while everyone watches us leave. I don’t stop moving until we get to the SUV and Cash has the back door open for us. I slide in with Rebel still in my arms and Cash closes the door behind us before running to the other side and jumping in. He pulls Rebel’s legs into his lap and holds her ankle close to his body so it doesn’t get jostled around too much. Doc turns around to look at her and his face pales before shaking his head.
“Straight to the hospital. Don’t stop or hesitate. We need to get her in imagin’ immediately to find out how much damage has been done to her,” Doc states in his no nonsense voice before turning back around and facing out the front window.
My eyes are locked on Rebel as my dad drives as fast as he can through town and toward the hospital. He doesn’t say anything but I can feel his eyes on Rebel through the rearview mirror every few seconds. The tension and rage filling the vehicle is so thick you could cut it with a knife. I honestly want to be with Rebel and ensure she’s okay. At the same time, I want to be with the rest of the guys and get my hands on the assholes who did this to her. They need to suffer for the hell they’ve put her through and I will help ensure that happens because this is too much. All for money they don’t deserve for any reason. We’ll make sure they see the errors of their ways when our girl is okay and we have the time to deal with them.
